[Q] AT&T HTC One M8 bricked? Help please. - AT&T HTC One (M8)

i recently rooted it and made 4 back ups. I deleted two of them and tried to roboot to fastboot. but it says 'No OS installed" . My computers reconize it as a disk drive and when i click on it, it asks me to insert a disk...
HTC One m8 with AT&T.
I am S-On, and I don't know to turn it off.
I have TWRP as my current recovery. I can boot into recovered successfully.
I do not have a SD card.
I have a laptop, a cable, and the phone, but the laptop does not recognize the phone.
TWRP is version 2.7.0.2.
I'd like to get the SkyDragon ROM as well... But it seems I need some help. Since I seem to be having trouble, I think a working ROM should take priority.
What should I do? Please and thank you.

flash the boot.img of the custom OS via fastboot with fastboot "Fastboot flash boot bootname.img"

HTC Evo LTE hard bricked

Alright so my issue is I flashed an ics rom on my evo LTE but accidentally with the wrong firmware. When the update was just about done, the screen went black. No charge light when plugged into a charger and the device will not power on, or do anything(tried button combinations). However when I plug it into my computer, device manager sees my phone as “My HTC”. So it seems to have a connection but it doesn’t do anything to the phone. Fix possibly?
Sorry for asking such a basic question guys. New to the forums but definitely not new to flashing roms. This problem just confuses me to death.
Can you supply as much info as possible.
QUOTE=bigdaddy619;45718286]Can you supply as much info as possible.[/QUOTE]
Yes I can my friend. Of course, I got S-OFF with moonshine. Never had a problem there. Rooted also with moonshine as well. Flashed a lot of different jelly bean roms (CM, Meanbean) to see which one best suited me. Well after awhile I decided to give one of the ics roms a shot but the firmware version on my evo was for jelly bean only, not ice cream sandwich. Just as the flash of the ics rom was about finished, the screen went black. (Battery was above 50%). I tried every button combination, but nothing worked. Tried connecting it to a charger and the orange charge light wouldn't even come on. I even left it on the charger overnight, but no dice. So the phone is totally unresponsive to everything. One thing I did notice however is that when I tried connecting the phone to the computer, my computer makes the connection noise when it finds a
Usb device. Checked my device manager on windows and my phone shows up as "My HTC". So it seems as my computer has some type of connection to the phone. With that being said, would there be some way to use some unbricking software or any other way to unbrick my phone? (From what I see, I think the bootloader may be corrupted)
Since you can hear USB connection, I wonder if running fastboot devices from CMD would yield any results. Though I suspect you'd probably have to be booted to fastboot USB to see.

Would you know of what commands may work for my device? Cmd is new to me, or well at least when it comes to sending commands to phones lol.
Click the link in my sig. There is a guide for setting up ADB as well as commands in it.

Thank you much sir. Here's what I found out. When I type the command "adb devices", nothing shows up. When I type in "fastboot devices" here is what it says:C:\Users\lisa\Desktop>fastboot devices
C:\Users\lisa\Desktop>fastboot devices
t♥☻ fastboot
guessing that's not a serial number, as it should be, but it recognizes my device as a fastboot device. Is there any hope of fixing this paperweight?
ADB commands only work when the phone is booted to the ROM, whereas Fastboot commands only work in the bootloader when connected via Fastboot USB mode.
Can you get to the bootloader at all?

The only way I can get to the bootloader is by using the command prompt. Otherwise, my phone remains inoperable.
What happens when you select the recovery option in the bootloader?
Meaning that fastboot shows my device is connected but I cant access it on my phone.

What did you do prior to booting into recovery? Also, when you plug your phone into your computer, what does your device show up as?

Bricked Phone Stuck in Fastboot
My phone is bricked and I can only get to fastboot usb. I also lost TWRP, trying to run RUU for radio. Current radio is 1.12.11.1210 and looks like there is not a full RUU for this. SD Card also bad, so couldn't get my Backup. Is there a way that I can sideload or push TWRP to the phone? I want to re-flash a custom ROM in hopes that this will fix issue. I have flashed CM 10 in past, so I figure all I need to do is put CM on sd card and then I can flash from there.

That's not a brick. Do as instructed above and install TWRP via fastboot.

[Q] Moto G won't boot please help

My Moto G XT1032 won't boot, it gets into the boot animation then goes to a black screen and does nothing, I can get into the fastboot and recovery menus however when I try to do anything through adb and fastboot it's saying either waiting for device or device not found. I wanted to return back to stock 4.4.4 so I could get the lollipop update, bootloader is unlocked. When I connect my phone to the PC is makes the sound that it's connected but it won't show the internal storage, the drivers are there since I checked in device manager.
Is my phone bricked?
Any helped will be gladly appreciated!
Thanks!

Your phone is soft-bricked, but since it boots to all those modes, should be easy enough to get going. Not sure why you would expect the internal storage to show up if the device isn't booting...? Do you have a custom recovery installed? You didn't mention what you did before it stopped booting correctly either, which could be helpful info for troubleshooting. Are you sure the correct drivers are being loaded? Are you using adb and fastboot when the phone is in the correct mode to receive the commands? Fastboot doesn't work in recovery, adb doesn't work in bootloader mode, etc. Worst case scenario, just restore with RSD Lite. If you are still having issues connecting to it, then uninstall all Moto drivers, reboot the PC, then reinstall them most recent Motorola Device Manager and try again.

You can't access TWRP because you over-wrote it with the factory RUU firmware image, it isn't there anymore...
Download TWRP image from TWRP official site at https://dl.twrp.me/vigor/ or Flyhalf's build at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1902381
Either one is good... then start fastboot, connect usb and flash recovery with the command:
fastboot flash recovery <path/filename of TWRP IMG file>
give it a minute or so, reboot into Hboot and start TWRP.
im having a similar issue but my computer always says waiting for device in command prompt. I have all the drivers installed and the phone says "usb fastboot" or "fastboot usb" (cant recall what order those 2 words are in LoL)

You probably have a driver issue then... Install HTC Sync, connect the phone, then disconnect it, remove HTC Sync and it should work. If that doesn't work, try a different USB port.
Honestly, I switched to Linux a long time ago... I don't have driver issues. If you were running Linux, even a live or USB key distro, you would access it easily.

I really need some help!!

I was running CM12 and everything was fine. I received a notification to update to CM 13 and I selected yes. It installed OK, but no GAPPS. I tried everything I could think of to install GAPPS, and kept getting errors. IN my frustrated efforts, something happened to my TWRP and now I only have CM Recovery. I'm trying to reinstall TWRP but my phone is being recognized as a "Marshall London Bootloader Interface" ONLY when in the Fastboot and Recovery mode. I have Huawei Hisuite installed and it recognizes the phone fine when powered on, but as soon as I boot into Fastboot and Rescue mode, it reverts to the MLB interface. I am at my wits end as to how to get my PC to recognize my phone properly when in Fastboot and recovery. I did try removing and reinstalling drivers when in Fastboot, but the Marshall Interface keeps on getting inserted. Any suggestions?????? (I also seem to have erased the SD card that has my original system backup files on it. I tried to flash several downloaded stock ROMs using CM recovery, but they all error out. )
I was finally able to re load TWRP using the Huawei Hi Suite. I flashed Carbon ROM and GAPPS and everything seems to be OK but I still cannot use ADB because the phone is recognized by Windows as a Marshall device ONLY when in bootloader mode and ADB does not find the device. When I connect normally it is recognized as a Mate 2 and it connects normally to Hi Suite. I have no idea what could be wrong, but I have read of other people who have this mysterious "Marshall" device show only up when in bootloader mode. Anyone have any ideas????? Can I go back to stock from here if I don't have a saved recovery image to see if I can fix this???
I have no idea what Marshall device means. Is it possible to place the stock 5.1 ROM on a blank micro SD card and follow the flashing instructions? (boot to download mode or whatever it's called)

I explained what "Marshall Device" is in the first post. I ended up going back to stock (322) and loosing root. I then updated to 5.1 using the SD card. Everything seems to be working OK. Maybe I'll root again and start over when I have more time.

Can't flash TWRP onto my Honor 7

I've searched around but haven't found anything on this. I want to root my phone to get more out of it and all, but It's not going so well.
My phone is a Huawei Honor 7 running Android 6.0, I'm using stock since I bricked my phone (I backed up anything important which were some apps and my contacts and such), so I have that which I can import.
I've followed different tutorials with no success in getting TWRP onto my phone, I got it unlocked but I can't get any further.
This is what I've tried for it:
Boot phone into Fastboot and have it connected wia USB to computer.
Checked if it shows up in "fastboot devices", which it does.
Did "fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img", which it says went OKAY, but then when after rebooting it, and getting it into recovery mode, it just boots into the default Huawei eRecovery, and not TWRP.
I've tried different TWRP images, some who said it were for the Honor7 as well, but with no luck, it just won't boot into it.
I hope that's all the needed information, if need anything else just ask.

If you want to get into recovery you have to unplug your phone from PC. You can use "ADB reboot recovery" command if you're connected and running system.

+1 the phone must not be connected to the pc when you try to reboot in recovery mode
Also you can use the MultiTool to install Twrp and reboiot to recovery from this tool
Thanks a lot guys! I'm able to boot into TWRP now.
Now I only got to fix my SuperSU problem, it makes me stuck where it says honor, which is loading screen really.
Tried different versions of the BETA-SuperSU (using the betas because got one from tutorai ladn read that they support Android 6.0), but as said simply stuck and don't know if it actually rooted my phone.
