[Q] Stuck On Samsung SIII I9300 Logo. - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently, I've try to install "Gltools" in my s3. Then my phone turned off and got stuck on samsung s3 logo.
I don't have a custom recovery installed, and my phone's charging port is not working so I can't fix it using Pc.
I wonder if anyone here knows how to create an update.zip cwm or twrp that is flashable in stock recovery because when I flash a flashable zip recovery, It shows "E: Signature Verification Failed" and I can't see one thread that relates with update.zip with s3.
Hope you help me guys. Please

You can't, the stock recovery will not flash anything but signed samsung roms.
The only way you can flash a custom recovery/rom when the phone won't boot is with download mode and odin.

Yip a basic old entry level phone that doesn't have the sig check.
The S3 was there flag ship phone that has protection that stops doing things this easy.
Like @pizzashow said, its a common prob with this phone and doesn't cost that much to get it fixed.

Root s3 mini with latest firmware! (new way!)

First, I would like to apologize for my bad English (If I have spoken something wrong / using wrong grammar)
And I would like to warn you that:
***This will increase the flash counter!
***You cannot boot into CWM by pressing the (vol up + power + home) buttons [I don't know why, don't ask me]
***I'm not responsible if you FAIL to ROOT / BRICK your device / CANNOT OPEN
CORRECTION: THIS IS JUST ANOTHER WAY TO ROOT S3 MINI, TAKE IT, OR IGNORE IT~~
Guys, I just bought an S3 mini and I found out that the root methods are so few...
For example: Flash pre-rooted ROM, seems is the best way and safest way to have a ROOT-ED system...
Anyway, I have figured an hour and I tried some "tricks" to ROOT the S3 MINI easily with the LATEST FRRMWARE!
I found out 1 thing is when you flash any S3 MINI firmware via ODIN, the firmware DOES NOT including the STOCK RECOVERY
Ok back to the topic, these are the ways that I figured out and used them to ROOT my S3 MINI with LATEST FIRMWARE! (Android 4.1.2 XXAMA2)
Just follow my instructions, I have tested them and they worked...
Step 1: Put the ROOT zip file into sdcard / external sdcard. ***Download the ROOT zip file from below attachment***
Step 2: Boot to DOWNLOAD MODE, flash CWM 6.0.2.8 via ODIN's PDA, UN-TICK "Auto Reboot"
***I have made an ODIN FLASHABLE CWM (6.0.2.8)***Download it from the attachment below***
Step 3: Download any / latest S3 MINI firmware from http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I8190
Step 4: Boot into DOWNLOAD MODE again! Flash the firmware that you have downloaded... This time tick the "Auto Reboot"
Step 5: The device will auto reboot into CWM after you have flashed the firmware! When it boots into CWM, click "Install un-trusted zip" first, after that browse and flash the ROOT file via CWM!
REBOOT YOUR DEVICE, IF YOU FIND OUT THAT THE MENU & BACK KEYS CANNOT CLICK, JUST REBOOT YOUR DEVICE AGAIN!
CONGRATULATION! YOU HAVE ROOTED YOUR S3 MINI WITH LATEST FIRMWARE AND LATEST SuperSU!
If you failed to boot into CWM, just flash the firmware again and remember tick the "Auto Reboot"!
The phone will automatically boot into CWM again and all you need to do next is to flash the ROOT zip file!
You are welcome to share your ideas / experiences after using my way...
Post your questions if you have, I'll try to help you... If I may...
TRY MY WAY OUT! :victory::laugh::good:
... your new solution for root isn´t new .... and not recommend because of enrease the custom binary count .....

Yes, it does increase the custom binary count...
And I have not found a way to flash back the stock recovery...
Maybe is not "new", is just "another" way to ROOT the S3 MINI

This is like the oldest method in the book. It used to work with other devices, but samsung tightened security on this one.
As for the original recovery, here you go.

Another trick for accessing recovery menu is via command prompt and android-sdk tools installed on PC.
Just navigate to Android folder with debugging mode turned on on phone and type: adb reboot recovery -> voila
Also let me mention that I managed to root and SIM unlock 8190N (NFC model) on latest 4.1.2 JB using your tutorial and Z3X box (USB + UART cable)
1) Flash the Le Fleur ROM via ODIN (this will enable the "three button recovery boot").
2) Flash whatever rooted ROM you want via ODIN (the "three button recovery boot" combo WILL STICK).
3) Install Triangle Away (Infected_ was one of the testers and it's been working for a couple days now).

In my [HOW-TO]Enable three button combo[recovery] there is a much easier way to gain three button recovery boot, without need to download and flash the whole firmware. Only 2mb download

[Q] Cannot get past CMW-Based Recovery screen

Hi All,
I rooted phone and all went well. Downloaded CWM then the BeanStalk ROM with Android 4.4.2. Tried to install zip file it through CWM and when i looked at phone it had restarted. Loads the screen with the title CWM-based Recovery v6.0.2.7 and lists 10 options.
Tried to reboot/factory install etc but always end up back at this screen??
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, (I'm a n00b to rooting etc)
Update: The error i get when i try and install beanstalk:
no file_contexts.......
(Status 7)
Just tried to install Omni and got the same error?
Maybe you need CWM Touch 6.0.3.2+ or latest TWRP recovery (if you have a metadata error when flashing, you're using the wrong recovery!)
Cause your CWM-based Recovery is v6.0.2.7. Android 4.4+ need latest recovery. Such as v6.0.3.2+.
How would I go about getting the latest recovery on there? Odin?
Sorry i am a bit of a noob!

Just want to make sure i don't brick the phone.
Is there a way I can unroot it then start over again? Would that be a possible solution?
Still stuck on this.... Anyone have any ideas?

If you flashed the right file and it booted well then chances of being it bricked are minimal...
I would suggest you flash a stock rom via Odin... read guides if you don't know how to.. Grab that from sammobile. Com.. and flash correct firmware for your device...
And next time if you want to switch to art then do not use xposed module as it not supported yet...

hello, i have use auto root by odin http://click.xda-developers.com/api...ownload.chainfire.eu/229/CF-...etrieve_file=1

You did something wrong, either flashed the wrong file for your phone model or a bad flash.
Try flashing a full stock firmware with Odin then factory reset, in recovery.

Philz touch CWM
Try to flash philz touch CWM according to your phone model, it has in-built root option.

try with this one
http://download.chainfire.eu/229/CF...Auto-Root-m0-m0xx-gti9300.zip?retrieve_file=1 it works great on my phone
There is a version of auto root through ODIN that does indeed root the phone but doesn't install a recovery.
This is what I originally did when I first rooted my phone and I never needed it or wanted to install custom roms.
But when I did I flashed one through Rom Manager but I believe you can also flash one through ODIN
Recupero
because CF Autoroot do recuperro Samsung stocks, and then you have to redo the flesh of recovery.

Help! Samsung Galaxy S5 is stuck in custom recovery bootloop, only download mode.

Help! So I rooted my Galaxy s5 using CF-auto-root and SuperSU and I flashed what I thought was CWM recovery from XDA, I installed mod manager which I then gave access to boot to recovery and now my phone is stuck in a custom recovery bootloop. Only if I remove the battery as it's about to turn off can I access download mode by holding relevant buttons but I am concerned that I have bricked my phone because there seems to be no stock recovery any more. Also mod manager listed TWRP as installed as well as CWM. Any help as to what I can flash through download mode or change files on my computer to help this problem would be appreciated. Extra Details:
Model Number: SM-G900F
Android Version: 6.0.1

flash the stock firmware from sammobile.com/firmwares via odim, it packs the stock recovery also
You will have to flash the full stock firmware and start all over from scratch. Also don't waste your time with CWM. It is outdated and has not been updated in years.

Thanks for that point about CWM - no wonder it's caused problems. If I can't fix the problem I was considering buying a new phone anyway hence me rooting my phone and flashing ROMs but I'll flash the full firmware from Samsung's website.

Think that was given is not Samsung site. It is by someone else and we don't advise it's use.
It won't be hard to fix it but understand it will completely wipe your device.

I did make a copy of all my android files before rooting and took pictures etc off it. Ah, I see. Well even if it's the correct firmware I'd rather at least try that - any working phone is better than one with files stuck in a faulty recovery boot-loop.

Okay so installing the firmware worked AND it DIDN'T wipe my device, I've yet to check whether the device is still rooted - it probably isn't. Any advice as to the best custom recovery out there for my international s5?
Edit: SuperSU says my device is no longer rooted, I guess it's okay to flash CF-Auto-Root again?
Edit: I flashed the auto-root again and it's rooted, I just need to be more careful with an updated custom recovery.
