Hey guys i recently noticed that when i open the camera app or snapchat and switch to back camera the camera will make some weird noise like an engine and sometimes it just sounds like a "click" sound. If i open the camera app and it is already on the back camera it still makes a sound, so not necessarily when i switch. It kind of like as long as i start the back camera some weird noise will appear.
Does anyone else have this "issue", is it an issue, should i replace the phone etc.?
Appreciate any help
Same thing is happening to me. Did you got your phone replaced?
I got the same thing here. Doesn't affect video or pictures so I could care less

Hi it wont let me create a thread in general section so im making it here... Can anyone test their camera for me, mines makes a crazy buzzing noise when it gets hot heres how... Leave video camera with flash on for 15min or even use a flashlight app you can even play a high graphics game example mass effects/nova 3 when the phone gets hot open the camera app if its not already open record a video again wiv flash on, tap the back of the phone/camera it goes crazzzy...loud buzzing noise only happens when phones hot and camera app is open..can even happen without recording video just by tapping the back on the phine with camera app open!!!!
In order to turn off the camera click on my old phone, I used to just delete /system/media/audio/ui/camera_click.ogg. however, that is actually a different sound than the stock camera click and does nothing when deleted. Anyone know where the sound files are for our phones?
Just put your phone on silent when taking pictures
Thanks for the tip.
I am still curious about tinkering a bit more to disable the camera sound, though.
Got a phone for my cousin,
when it came and I turned it on I realised when I put on camera and hit focus it made a clicking sound.
But thought cause I click the focus icon on screen
think i took some other pics without the focus but didn't hear the sound
my cousin now says that every app he operates the phone makes a clicking sound.
Has anyone else ever experience such?
So my front facing camera has been broke for a few months now, tried factory resetting and even replacing the module itself and nothiung worked. Everything involving the front facing camera would crash if I tried to use it. Today I tried the "one-way video chat" that pops up when you make a phone call and was shocked to see it was actually working. Only the right camera was showing video, not the left. Is there a way to disable just the left front facing camera?
I've had the same exact problem I've never dropped my phone or anything I factory reset and changed the module but have not gotten it to work I searched everything I could and thought I was the only one with the issue but how did you do a one way video chat? Is it working with the other apps now at least?

When you call someone that supports it you just press one way video chat on the dialer. I'm assuming other apps are attempting to use either both or the left camera. I am guessing my left front facing camera is broken because when I do the one way video chat, it does not display video from the left front facing camera., only the right. It is also working with an app called "BestMe Selfie"
Hi everyone I noticed a strange thing: when I shake the phone I hear a noise coming from the camera, reading on the internet they say it's normal and that noise is caused by the OIS. In fact if I open the camera app and shake it, the noise disappears, and then reappears as soon as I close the app. I wanted to ask if anyone with this phone can give it a try and tell me if you do too.
Thank you and sorry for my english

It's normal behaviour
This suppose to be the hardware image stabilization. Don't worry about it.
