In the U.S., where have you purchased accessories online for your Pure? I'm looking for a data cable which charges & syncs and maybe a car charger. I don't want to go somewhere, buy something, and have it not work as advertised.
Thanks,
Rob
Ebay, and make sure it ships from the US.
2nd Ebay..
One dealer has for $15 - car charger, wall charger, screen protector, leather case and data charger/sync cable.
Hi alltogether
Does anybody have the 'know-how' in changing the cover from the Lumia 920?
Can you tell where to get a cyan color back cover? (I don't mean this protectiv shields etc. I mean the complete cyan unibody from the phone
I found a video how to dismantle (looks easy) and some sellers on ebay (quite expansive -> Nokia Lumia 920 Rear Chassis Back cover)
But one seller says it is not done by changing the cover
"you must Send your phone to us to have this replaced as your screen needs caliberating once removed..."
This idea came to my mind cause I want a cyan color lumia and I just bought a black one for a great low price
Share your experience in this thread AND if anybody knows where I can get the cyan back cover for the lumia PLEASE! send me a message!
Kind regrads!
Anis

For this you should ask the seller of the covers.
To those of you in the UK, who is after a Tablet Z charging dock. Argos has it on offer for 24.99 collection only. Considering Sony has stopped selling it in their store, and Amazon UK selling it for nearly 60 pounds, this could be a bargain. In argos it is under Sony Xperia Reclining Charging Cable. (106/6775),
In case someone wants to buy

Yeah, got one of these myself from Argos when I ordered the tablet from Amazon. It's well worth the money despite the stand essentially just being a bit of plastic. It actually looks really good, is very adjustable in angle of lean and allows you to charge without fiddling with the USB port connector cover. The ease of charging is well worth it on its own.
Very cheap of Sony not to bundle a charger and USB cable though, as this was originally quite a pricey item. They did the same thing with the PS Vita cradle.
It was out of stock in most of the nearby branches that I tried so anyone wanting one needs to snap it up now. I'm seriously considering buying a second one as IMO it's an essential add-on.
I bought this at Amazon, plugged it in last night, set my Sprint LG G3 on it, and... nothing.

I went back to the Amazon page and read a little bit more. The first question (that I missed when I bought it) asked if it worked with an AT&T LG G3; the answer was "no, a wireless receiver is required."
I emailed the seller to return it, stating that it required an additional piece of hardware. The seller replied that it does NOT require any additional hardware.
So who is right?
AT&T model of G3 uses PMA wireless charging standard, instead of Qi and so it would never work.
In the case of Sprint G3 (and other US carrier models), I believe none of them come with battery doors that have Qi charging pins.
You have 3 options
Replace the battery door with one that has Qi charging sticker
Buy a Quick Circle case that has Qi charging sticker
Buy a wireless charging sticker, open your the battery door, affix the sticker at the right spot on the battery door and put it back
The third will be the cheapest option. Here is a video.
Thanks!
I see some cheap cases on Amazon for about $10 that include the Qi charging sticker. I see the stickers for about $5 if I go with the cheapest vendors.
Does that sound about right?
Are there any caveats? Is it better to buy from an established seller rather than a knockoff from overseas?
I personally buy knockoffs from China all the time and had very little issues. If the price difference is significant, I prefer the cheaper ones.
For example the 6000+ mah internal battery I bought for G3 cost me $12 from China. Compared that to the same capacity battery from Mugen which costs $90.

Did you need an extended battery cover for that large of a capacity?

Yes I do. The extended battery is double in thickness. Check this photo album (not mine, but same battery and cover).

Keep in mind that cover you see in the pictures, does not have Qi charging and NFC pins.
You guys believe this is indeed a genuine product? the seller really emphasizes the legitimacy of it a number of times in the description.. given the price what do you guys thinks?

It's even cheaper on Aliexpress

As for authenticity, it will probably be the same Samsung charger that is sold without the Samsung branding. What happens in China is once they get the specs and production blueprints from the OEM, they start making on the side for themselves, in addition to supplying the OEMs with required number. Remember the previous fast wireless charger from Samsung which they sold for $75? The same thing has been available on Aliexpress for over a year now for about $15 and I have not seen anyone complaining about it.
Three years back I bought a 3 coil wireless charger called Itian A6 from Aliexpress for less than half the price of Tylt Vu from which they cloned it. And to this day it is working fine and I am currently using it to charge my S8+. But at this price, I am seriously considering getting the clone of Samsung's new convertible wireless charger.
Well.. this dude proves the non genuine Samsung wireless charger is crap, which is the main reason I asked the question:
Issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkR3H1Tnlp0
Resolution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fr4RlrfHIMk
I guess that can also happen. But if you buy from Aliexpress, you have buyer protection and all you need to do is make a video that demonstrates the issue (within the stipulated time) and you will get a full refund.
In 2015 I and a friend bought 16000mah power banks by Choetech that can charge itself and other devices with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 spec. When we got the power banks, my friend's was working fine but mine won't charge itself with QC2.0 (as indicated by the lack of green LED) although it did charge other devices with QC2.0 speeds. I took some photos indicating the issue and the seller issued a full refund of $30.

What a douche, he buys a fake one and whines about it that it doesn't work.
Personally i wouldn't buy anything from china that says its genuine and is half price of the original msrp, expect it to be fake.
I bought one of these it's definitely fake, it feels cheap and nasty. It's not even leather... it's hard rubber you can even see the joint molding on the side. It scent is very strong, I usually have my qi charger sitting in front of me on my desk just above my keyboard but now its back in the box waiting to hear back from the seller for a refund.
The sliding mechanism does not slide like the genuine product doesn't feel solid, cheap sliding mech with a lot of friction.
The bottom rubber which is suppose to help the device not slide around doesn't even touch the table it's too thin.
Also does not come with a charger or cable just the pad and clearly a poor quality USB-C adapter due to the print was half faded.
After all that it does support fast charging which was surprising lol I haven't tested it long enough to see if it cuts out etc
Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to NOT buy these then..
