[Q] "Not registered on Network" GT-I9300 - Stock ROM - 4.3 - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Everybody !
After an exhaustive research at XDA, I was still unable to find a solution to my probem.
I'm able to fix the issue ("Not registered on Network") on my GT-I9300 by flashing Patched_XXUGMK6_kernel.zip and Patched_XXUGMK6_modem.zip by 'ZULUMAN'. It works fine.
P.S. - IMEI is fine.
However my question/issue is this: After completely restoring my phone back to stock by flashing 4.3 Jelly Bean from SamMobile, I'm getting the error "Not registered on Network". Is there a remedy for this issue?
Thanks a lot.
A little history of my GT-I9300:
--> Kept the phone in download mode just to see how it works.
--> Invalid EFS argument error pops up in recovery.
-->Phone stuck on blue Samsung logo.
--> After a lot of brainstorming on XDA was able to recover the device from soft brick.
-->Flashed 4.3 Jelly Bean from SamMobile.
-->IMEI number corrupted (00049 series). Didn't had the EFS backup.
-->Got the IMEI repaired cheaply from service centre.
-->Device "Not registered on Network" issue.
-->Flashed Kernel & Modem by Zuluman.
--> Phone working perfectly fine. Able to make calls. Send sms'es. Use Internet. Voila !!!!
--> Restored the phone back to stock ROM from SamMobile.
--> IMEI, Serial Number and everything is fine. But "Not registered on Network" issue.
--> In service mode it reads "IMEI CERTI: FAIL".
My phone is working when it's rooted. However I would love to make it work when it's on Samsung official Stock ROM. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

Help imei.

[Q] No network - Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300

Hello guys,
I`ve been watching all this topics for a while cuz I have some problems with my Galaxy S3. I`ll tell you what i did.
All worked fine, had the 4.1.1 official rom + root, then i wanted to go to 4.1.2 so i flashed an UK stock ROM. After that i kept getting the "Sim has been removed" error need restart bla bla.. so i search all around for a fix.. i changed 2 SIM cards and nothing. Then I flashed a Poland version 4.1.2 Stock. That version was better but I encountered the "Call ended" error.. calls would end after 3-4mins or i could not call at all. Then i flashed (and this is when the problem started) Stock Vodafone Spain and got "No network". I must say my IMEI/ SN all are intact.
Then I patched only radio modem from the UK ROM with Odin, but with "PHONE" option (i know i did wrong).. i wanted to change only the modem and it worked cuz i checked with *#1234#.. but from that moment not even one ROM has worked in showing me the network. On About phone says "Network: Unknown". Sometimes it connects to Vodafone but when I try to call says "No network service".
Now my phone is in second service and they can`t make it get a network on. They tryed the neverlock thing but i think was already unblocked.
I tryed rooting and using this Ariza. and were 2 versions there.. I tryed v5 only and didnt worked.
I tried the ##72786# and I get the following message: Connection Problem or invalid MMI code (found somewhere that for this code i need to have Wifi on to work?)
Now i`m thinking to get my phone back and dunno reflash with a good .pit file ? or just reRoot and try v4 Ariza.. I`m really sad, it`s been 5 days and I can`t think on nothing else to do.. I even called Samsung official service and they said to send it to them.
If you have any idea, pls need help. tnx
Check your IMEI is the same as under the battery .
Samsung will reject warranty .

you are right.. IMEI and SN are not the same.. pff what to do now?
Restore your backed up EFS folder.
jje
But i think i backed up the EFS folder with the modified IMEI. What can i do now?
nothing. replace the motherboard
SOLVED!
Ok so tnx to JJEgan i checked all the IMEI numbers and only 2 of them were modified. Thing is before I pached the v5 Ariza, I did a EFS backup with that program. That backup img saved my phone.
Firstly I got my phone back from service with 4.2.1 official ROM (thats nice, cost me 0 $ ). I rooted with CF-Auto and used Ariza patch (v4). But my imei was still wrong so after that I used EFS_Backup_Restore_new_ADB.rar to restore my IMEI/SN with the old EFS backup then I used another programEFS Professional v2.0. I checked the option to repair No network and clicked Restore. After that I restarted my phone and I got the messages from provider with APN settings and so on.
Thank you for the help :good:
worked till first restart... now No network again, I`m not a samsung/android fan anymore..

[Q] Not registered to network

Hi all,
first post so be gentle with me.
OK, heres my situation... I had CM11 ROM installed, I woke up one morning to find my device wouldn't turn on, ahh just a flat battery I thought... nope, after hours of charging it just still wouldn't come up. I managed to get it into download mode and restore the ROM. In doing this it changed its IMEI to 0049... and wiped the serial number. I work in IT, so I spent hours and hours trying to fix it myself but I had to surrender and take it to a Samsung Service Centre local to me. £35 later they have restored my IMEI and serial number, awesome... I can carry on using my phone again after using a bog standard £9.99 Classic style Nokia :good:.... NOPE....
It now indicates that a SIM card is inserted, and registers to the network (EE), but I do not get mobile data connectivity!!!??? I try to dial out, but I get "Not registered to network".
My Device Status reads:
Network: Unknown
Mobile Network Type: HPSDA
Service State: Out of Service
Mobile Network State: Disconnected
This is on a stock ROM restored using Kies:
Basband Version: I9300XXUGMK6
CSC: I9300OXAGMK6
Does anyone know of a quick easy way to fix this, or do I just go back to the phone repair shop make out they haven't fixed it properly making them get it working!?
Many thanks in advance
James

Thanks KSKHH, I have installed MG4 modem through recovery as you suggested. Baseband now reads: I9300XXEMG4
However, I still am facing the same problems. Any other suggestions?
thanks
James
Take it back and get them to finish the repair.

Download a compatible firmware from sammobile and install thru odin.
Odin installation instruction should be available in youtube.
i managed to resolve this myself, by flashing a patched version of MK6.
I'll provide a link to where I found the patches shortly
thanks all

This means your efs is not compatible with v2 firmware and you will have the same problem with every update in future. If you paid samsung to fix the efs then they should do it properly.

[Q] Not Registered on Network - i9300

Alright, so first of all, my Samsung Galaxy SIII got some damage, and then we brought it to a repair shop. They changed the motherboard, and then returned it to us and it was working fine. The only thing is, the Android version is still on 4.0.4, and whenever I boot the phone, a T-Mobile bootloading screen appears, and it annoys the hell out of me. So, I flashed Android 4.3 Jellybean using Odin. Yet, after the update finishes, the phone won't make a text or a call. It always says 'Not Registered On Network'. So here are some notes of the phone's status...
1. I tried to use Ariza Patch, yet it didn't work.
2. The IMEI's number is not changed to 0000 or anything, it's just a 15-digit number and has a '/01' at the end of it.
3. The signal is full.
How could this be fixed? Is there anyway to fix this? It would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
Take it back to the repair shop and tell them they botched the efs folder after their repair. You might be able to get a network by reading the sticky thread on efs, or the patch thread but you will always have problems with updates unless you get the efs folder sorted by a professional.
I did return the phone, then after that, they replaced the board again. After I tried to update it to 4.3 once again, the same thing happened, still not registered on network. :/

"Not registered on network" problem with correct IMEI

Hello All,
I am from Pakistan, and I have a Galaxy S3 I9300. I have upgraded it to 4.3 JB recently. I have flashed XXUGNA8 4.3 firmware for Pakistan, downloaded from sammobile. Everything works fine but I cannot make any calls. It says "not registered on network". However when I call the number from another phone, it rings but s3 doesn't receive any call.
I have tried many fixes given on the internet to no use. My IMEI is not corrupted. I have the same IMEI on the back under the battery as in the phone itself.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Problem has been solved by flashing XXUGMK6 firmware and the patched kernel and modem given here.

Null IMEI, Service Menu blank

Before I start with the issue, let me begin with some basic information: This is in regards to my Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900T (T-mobile), running Lollipop 5.1.1, FOG6 build, DOB1 baseband, rooted, deodexed, but otherwise stock.
My problem: Today I flashed a rom via Mobile Odin Pro and soft-bricked my device. After a lot of hair pulling and screaming at my phone and computer, I finally got my phone up and running again. After trying many different solutions, I eventually tried re-flashing TWRP through Odin (recovery initially would not boot, hence the soft-brick), which succeeded, and then recovered my phone by restoring from a previous backup.
This got my phone up and running again, but once it boot, I had no service. I first checked my APN settings, but was presented with a message stating, "Unable to view the access point name settings. Access is restricted for the current user profile." I tried adding a new APN, but once I added it, it did not appear in the APN list, which continued to only display the above message. I then tried to "Search now" for Network Operators, but nothing was found. So next I checked my IMEI through "About Device", and discovered it was set to "Unknown". Checking the IMEI through the dialer (*#06#) lists the IMEI as "null / null".
I have searched high and low and tried everything I could find to fix this. I tried restoring my TWRP EFS backup to no effect. I also tried flashing the modem through Odin, as well as restoring my TWRP modem backup. I tried using an Xposed app to manually set the IMEI back to its original value (I happen to have my phone's original IMEI number written down from when I SIM unlocked my device), but while this updated the IMEI displayed in the dialer (through *#06#), it did not change the value in "About Device" and did not restore my service.
The last solution I tried (found here: http://www.technobezz.com/restore-galaxy-null-imei-and-fix-not-registered-on-network/) involves me using the dialer to enter Service Mode to make some changes; however, while dialing *#197328640# did open the Service Mode menu, the menu was totally blank.
Please help! Given the current state of my phone, I cannot make or receive calls or texts or do anything else requiring a mobile connection. I have looked everywhere and I don't know what else to try :crying: :crying:
Assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated, as until I am able to fix this, I don't have a functional phone
Any suggestions?
