This is what he used to to drain out rasidual electricity, which, according to the man, is causing deadspot in the first place.
He talk more about it here in this video.
i just bought (used) G2 n have that issue. has it been solved before? m i missing something?
if not how accurate Cristi's method is?
I've recently gotten this issue on my g2, I don't really mind the dead band but when it ghost touches the phone is virtually unusable. I don't think there is a real solution yet, but I think its a software issue because people that change the digitizer/lcd say it can reappear soon after. I tried this method to try and fix it, but it didn't work for me.
I love this phone, but this issue is really killing it for me.

Out of the blue, for NO apparant reason, my display screen is suddenly full of "snow". The phone itself is working properly because I have the HDMI out cable and I can see everything working properly when I use my TV as an external display. While using the HDMI/external display, the touch-responsiveness is normal.
I did do one hard/factory reset, that did't fix anything. I get a similar screen when the phone is in the OFF position and charging (when you should normally just see the picture of a green charging battery icon.
I know this looks like the symptom of an impact or some other physical damage, but I take SUPER good care of all of my devices and there is no way that I caused any damage to it. Earlier today, I was using the phone and all was well then I put the phone in my pocket. About 3 mintues later, I pull it out of my pocket and this is what I see!
Has anyone seen anything like this? I bought this phone about 6 months ago from expansys-usa, so I assume it's under warranty, but if there's ANYTHING I can do here myself, I'd rather take care of it here.
I'm a fairly advanced ROM flasher and am pretty comfortable taking phones apart and getting them back together, but I don't want to open this one up if it will void my warranty with expansys/Samsung.
I welcome help/advice/thoughts.

Best thing for you to do if you've got warranty is flash a stock from specific to your product code like you got it. delete everything on your SD card related to Modding and get a replacement for your warranty. Looks like hardware problems

The problem with my S2 is that when the phone gets cold the screen starts flickering then the screen it's all "blueish" and the text becomes unreadable like the resolution is very low. It started doing this thing rarely and now it appears frequently. I am not able to post the video link here because I am a new user. Please search "Galaxy S2 Screen problem". I will post a picture also (sorry for the bad quality).
These are the picutres, first one at full brightness and the second at the lowest brightness.

Hardware issue.
If the phone is under warrenty, return it and insist to get a new one. If possible, reproduce this issue at the store/service center.
If the warrenty is over, use nuke scripts (both ROM and kernel scripts), reflash the device to perfectly stock condition and see if there's an improvement. I, personally, doubt it but it's worth a shot. If still the problem persists, take it to repair.

It's the same as I og into recolvery, so the ROM/kernel is not the problem, I don't heve waranty because I had dropped the phone and smashed the screen 6 months ago, do you think that the GPU can cause this problem?
So....you replaced the screen...?
Sent from the little guy
Yes, I did replaced the screen with a genuine one at a service. The problem started 3 weeks ago.

when i restore my nandroid backup the touch screen Returned to work but After hours of playback on the phone
my phone returned to not work
this problem from software or hardware ????
can any one help me pleaseeeeeeeeeee ??
Hard to tell because the full image doesn't pop up on my device, but it appears you have LCD failure. One of the transistors that controls the on/off state for a column of pixels is stuck in the off position. Unfortunately, replacing the screen is the only option.

how bout trying to install custom rom such as dsc 2.0?
if you tried and the problem still persists, means that the hardware is the real problem. i mean the lcd hardware..
And now I see that the line is one drawn on the picture. :silly:
Still...try updating the ROM. But be aware of the very real possibility that updating the ROM is a placebo, and there still may be a fault in the digitizer which is intermittently knocking out the touchscreen.

Hello,
I've replaced my pocophone's battery (well, a few months ago) and basically I couldn't turn it back one ever again (tried putting back the old battery but it acts the same).
Video of what it is showing while plugged in: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZhQD1Yxk5NcEwjJe7
(it shows the same screen when trying to turn it on, but for a bit longer)
Battery type:

1 thing I can think of not doing ok while replacing the battery was that I tried to take out the plastic shield covering the motherboard, while it still had 1 screw in (it was the screw covered by the mi sticker and I just didn't realise it was a screw there), didn't apply too much force though.
I want to mention that I didn't use any anti-static wrist band.
I'm not expecting to fix it (even though it would be nice to repurpose it rather than having it as a brick) but learn anything I should've done better or what might be the final cause of death.
Hi,
I have the exact same issue on my Poco F1 after replacing the battery.
And if I reinstall the old battery the "empty icon battery" is still there.
Did you manage to solve the issue?
thank you.

Hi, unfortunately I didn't. Today I tried dissassembling it again, replaced the "new" batery with the old one, but still the same issue.
After the massacre, I decided to go with the poco f2 pro xD
