Anyone else having issue getting their Z3v to show up in android device manager?
I've gone through all the steps, but device manager only shows my other two devices. It will not pick up my z3v
I agree, I can't get mine to show in device manager either. On the app can you see it on the map and there is just a spinning circles on the lower third of the screen?
Can't see anything. When I load the app it only shows my other connected devices, but no z3v

Whatever issue this was has worked itself out

Has anyone been prompted with a message saying they have too many devices (10) registered and need to deauthorize devices before being able to use it on other phones? I only have 2 phones and a Logitech revue that uses the streaming function of the app, but I've ran probably 20 different roms and I'm guessing each rom is considered a new device through the app.
Any work arounds?

Yeah this just happened to me the other day. I haven't checked to see if restoring app+data (yes I know it isn't a good idea) might avoid your newly flashed rom being counted as a new phone. May be something to try.
Worst case scenario is to log into your google music account (which you can do in the mobile browser) and clear all of the ADR6425 phones in there to start fresh. Might have to do this periodically to keep from getting that pop up.
Yup, this is normal. I am currently in the same boat with my work email. Both have a limited number of 'devices' at once.
If you click on (in google music) settings, music settings You'll see the list of devices attached to your account.
Every time you flash and login, it registers a new device. Just wipe them out whenever it gets too full.
I figured it'd be an easy fix like that. Thanks guys.

I made my first android app, it seems to run on most phones no problem
but one phone my bud has he installs the app no problem but the app will not run from the app launcher no matter what
when you click the app it just goes to the home screen.
However if you goto google play and click OPEN it runs fine
or if you hold HOME and goto recent Apps it opens right up, what could possibly make it not open from the launcher?
it only happens on HTC Thunderbolt works fine on 10 other phones so far.
I know this isnt the development forum but it said i had to post here until i had 10 posts.
Okay so i got it to do the same thing on my phone by trying a different launcher... it seems not to work with certain launchers, how can i fix this?
its a pretty basic app i mean what would cause this? it says Application not installed when you click it
Connect the phone to your PC, and open DDMS (AndroidSDK/Tools) or Eclipse. Check the logcat output and you'll catch the error (then you can search a way to fix it).
Okay i narrowed it down a bit more, when my app installs through google play it sticks on a white screen and crashes with a activity not found exception
(the activity in question is being called from the main activity onCreate method)
However after the program crashes it runs perfectly fine other times you open it.
its almost like the oncreate is trying to launch the activity before it registers with the operating system or something.
Anybody know why my location icon stays on even when im not using it. Is there a way to check if an app is trying to use it?

This was happening to me as well. I used log cat to determine what was causing it (all of the GUI utilities just said "Android system." In my case, it was the T-Mobile My Account app. I froze it with Titanium backup and the location icon immediately went away (and stayed off). I suspect that app may be what is used to determine the "customer confirmed" coverage on their coverage maps. It's a pretty poor implementation though, if it stays on all the time. There was supposed to be an update to the app, but I haven't seen any updates available the few times I've defrosted the app to use it since then.
Hmm. Im using no name rom, which is debloated and doesnt have the tmobile app
I have a generic android tablet running Android 4.4.2. There is an app that keeps reinstalling itself on my tablet called "settings" which is obviously not my real settings app. When it's installed I do get ads popping up occasionally. The icon ins a green triangle, (more like a baseball diamond), with a red exclamation point on the corner of it. I suspect this was on my tablet from the beginning, (it's a generic after all), so I doubt the usual methods will eliminate this. I need to be able to install unofficial apps anyway. Is anyone familiar with this malicious app?

Why has no one responded to this?
I just noticed that an application was added to my home screen called Vchat. I didn't install this app. I checked the application manager and my account in the play store and this app doesn't appear in either. I'm not really sure what this is and what the best way to remove it is. I haven't clicked on it. I also notice random ads popping up after the unlocking the screen, though they are very sporadic.
I'm on a LG G5, the verizon version, running android 7.0.
Girlfriend also has this on her Samsung Galaxy A5, couldn't identify an app in app list which matched. Removed from home screen and hoped it was simply a sketchy weblink. Will follow post to ensure phone is secure or if an app needs removing. Seems to have appeared in last 24 hours.
I tried running avast and malwarebytes on my phone. Neither of those detected anything.
Came up 3/30
I Googled this yesterday, glad I did again today to find this forum. I bought this phone March 22nd and I am noticing my lock screen button stopped working around the same time the app appeared. This phone is brand new from amazon and I am about to return it, but something tells me this issue is software related as the button was working fine on 3/29 and now it clicks and is responsive to the touch, but it will only "sometimes" lock the screen. Right now it is fully functioning, but it will start to fail if I have too many apps open, or if I am running a game. It specifically won't work while in an app, but will work when on the home screen with no apps open.
On top of all of this, my phone has been getting weird ads, but male ware detection doesn't see it, also, the phone is a lot slower now. Whatever this is, I don't want to be connected to it.
Update: the v stands for Vietnamese. The app is some Vietnamese chatting service. Googled "vchat' you guess should try it too.

I did look it up and found that. I'm just trying to figure out how it got there and how to remove it.

I got frustrated trying to figure out how to remove this app, so I decided to restore the phone to factory defaults. I've only had the phone for a month, so I didn't have much on it.
Galaxy S5
I have a Galaxy S5 Android version 6.0.1 and this URL shortcut also appeared on my homesceen. Likewise I would like to know what app / service was used to create this advertisement so I can disable / uninstall it.
