This morning when I turned on my phone (turned it off to charge last night) I was unable to get a 4G or even a 3G signal. It keeps staying on 1X. I have a short-cut to the *#*#4636*#*# menu to turn 4G on and off, but it's not doing anything. I have pulled the battery/sim card out 5 times and it is still stuck on 1X. I understand that the 4G/3G antenna is built on to the back battery cover of the phone, but the cover is on so it should work. I had a 4G signal before I turned the phone off last night to charge.
Another question, when I turned my phone on this morning from a full charge. The battery showed it at 89%....How come it didn't get a full charge? The phone was stuck on the charger for the whole afternoon/night yesterday. Everytime I took the charger off, it will go from 100% to 92% so I charged it some more.
It's been posted in a few threads here but there's a nationwide 4g outage.
Well, I should at least get 3G then right? Battery went from 100% to 75% just from all the reboots and battery pulls
I got my EVO 3D a few days ago, I noticed that my evo 3d will shut itself off everytime when the battery down to 5%, does this also happen to your guys? just curious.
Yes, this happens to me too. It wont turn back on until it charges for a few minutes.
evo 3d...go to menu,settings,power...there u can set what % u want to ur phone to shut down when battery gets low...set mine to 25%,when it gets there it givves me a warning and shuts everything down to save power for emergency phone calls.
hope this helps
Hey guys, I have a GSM evo 3d and yesterday my battery started acting really weird...
Whenever I restart my phone, it would decrease by 10%. So I started testing by restarting nonstop. The first few times the battery decreased from a 90% to a 60% after about 3 restarts. Then after that it would decrease by a 2~3% each restart. So I drained the battery yesterday evening and charged it overnight. By this morning ( 8 hours of charging ) the LED turned green as usual...then I tried restarting. Bam, instant drop to 88%. Now after restarting multiple times, my battery history graph has a bunch of random drops...(for nerds, there are many points where the derivative does not exist LOL)
This is already the second day this is happening...please help me out.
Another issue is, whenever I restart my phone and it's on the white screen with green HTC letters, the red LED light stays on for around 3 seconds. I'm using LeeDroid 2.0.0 if anyone is wondering.
Thanks!
What battery are you using?
I would start by letting the phone die, have it auto shut off. Then charge it and have it on when it is charging, have it go till the green light comes on and then some. Then let it die agien and fully charge it one last time. Let it drain slowy and with normal use.

I'm using the factory battery that came with the phone.
I'll give that a try tonight.
Did you already tried to calibrate your battery when charged to 100 percent?

Yeah I did, and I am suspecting that is what caused all this since I just calibrate it a day before this started happening.
hey guys!
my desire is shutting down when it has about 10% battery left.
i charge my phone, when its on, at 90% the led turnes from charging to fully charged, but the phone is going on with charging!
when its off, it is charging to 100% without any problem.
it makes no difference, next time still shutting down at 10%.
i tried to calibrate the phone, nothing happens
what can i do to solve the problem?
(desire rooted, SOFF, MIUI 1.9.28)
I think this is one of the Miui features like cyanogen mod 7 too. Turn green at 90%

shutting down at 10%? dont think thats a feature
Hey guys,
I've just started having a problem with my MyTouch 4G in which it won't charge while the phone is switched on. The battery charging symbol displays but the battery % slowly decreases. I have tried using a different battery but no luck. If I go into "battery usage" in settings it says that Wifi & Cellular Idle are the 2 biggest users with 29% each. The strange thing is that these 2 are always using 29% even if I turn Wifi off and put the phone on flight mode. Another user had a similar problem and it turned out to be an app using buttloads of power but I can't identify any on mine doing this. I've done a virus scan. Any ideas?
Thanks
Do you charge by the computer or the power socket

Both. I've just done a factory reset & installed ICS to see if that made a change. I've got it plugged into the PC at work now and its finally gone up 1% in about 15 minutes. Seems a little slow and I have a feeling it would discharge pretty quickly if I started using it while plugged in. I'll wait and see what happens.
Maybe you should stop checking every 5 seconds and just wait
