I can't get any ROM to boot up. one M8 - AT&T HTC One (M8)

I cannot get any ROM besides "cm-12-20141211-UNOFFICIAL-m8" to boot up on my M8 sprint after they are flashed. I have tried Android Revolution HD 41 and 43, SkyDragon, and a few more. The Cyanogenmod nightlys don't work either.
The ROMs install just fine with TWRP but they don't boot. I get stuck at the HTC screen and nothing happens.
My TWRP version is 2.8.1.0. I can't install any TWRP version after 2.8.1.0.

As mentioned, you have the Sprint version, and this section is specifically for the AT&T version. There are significant differences (firmware, ROMs) between Sprint and AT&T, and we (AT&T users) probably can't fully help you here. Post to the Sprint section for more device specific assistance.
What I can say is:
- Your phone's firmware is very outdated, and will cause issues with current ROMs. You need to update the firmware (hboot, radio, etc.) on your device.
- Even with updated firmware, if the ROM does not specifically support the Sprint variant, it won't boot. For the Sprint version, you can't just flash any M8 ROM; at a minimum, you need the right kernel (in addition to updating the firmware).

RUU for AUS HTC ONE V

Hi Guys/Gals
I have a HTC One V which I have Unlocked and Rooted, I have tried Various custom ROMS with no success, just keeps showing the HTC screen telling me this build is for Dev use only in RED writing.
The problem I am having is finding a stock RUU for this phone, I have found versions for all regions for my radio version number but none will load.
Before you ask no I did not do a backup of my ROM before I loaded the custom ROMS, my BAD.
If someone could suggest or post stock RUU for Australian region, you would save my bacon.

Getting back to Stock Rom(need some advice)

Hello there.
I could use some help with going back to stock rom for GSM version of 3D.
I now have Hboot 1.53.0007, CWM Recovery Installed, it's rooted, and now stuck on Viper rom 1.0 version. And, it now has CID 001, because I wanted to put some custom, but I was afraid of getting bricked.
My friend wants to have all the 3D functions, and I would like to revert back to stock.
So, if I download the original Shooter_U Europe version rom, ICS, can I just do these steps of reverting back? - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1262457
And do I need to relock the bootloader to do this?
I don't need warranty or things like that.
Waiting for some advice, thank you.
Relock bootloader and run RUU exe from pc. way easier than this

If it is only for 3D functions , u don`t need to use the ( bad ) stock rom cause it is poor in performance , u can use the custom roms in the forum with no bugs , like CoolICS and mwakious

[Q] Official Update for LOCKED Bootloader with S-OFF and SuperCID

Hello.
I have purchased a new HOX+ International Version from eBay. The carrier is unlocked to work with Indian GSM operators, and the bootloader is LOCKED with S-OFF and SuperCID. When I checked for Software Updates, it said There are no updates available for your phone.
I have gone through this thread. However, I couldn't find any information that would help me.
I am looking for the Official Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5 OTA update. How do I get this?
If that is not possible, can I flash the firmware from this thread? From what I understand, the firmware belongs to HOX (Not Plus) T-Mobile Germany. Will this work on my HOX+ like the official update? Can I flash it as per the steps mentioned in that thread or do I have to perform any addition steps?
I have seen that there is a custom ROM by InsertCoin based on Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5 for the HOX+ . But I really want the Official version. Is there any hope for me?
Also, will changing the ROM, Rooting/Unrooting the Phone, Locking/Unlocking the Bootloader in any way affect my Unlocked Carrier mode?
Sorry for too many questions in one post.

Nobody?
Okay, I'll try and summarize my problem.
1. Is it possible to somehow get the OTA Update for Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5 on my HOX+ with a LOCKED bootloader, S-OFF and SuperCID? If not, can I safely flash the firmware from this thread which is for the HOX (not Plus).
2. Will changing the ROM, Rooting/Unrooting the Phone, Locking/Unlocking the Bootloader in any way affect my Unlocked Carrier mode?
Please help. :fingers-crossed:
You can relock bootloader with toolkit and flash any RUU of HOX+ you want (since you have super CID and S-OFF ), then you can receive OTA updates

I think you are quite lucky to get the S-OFF device.
Anyways, first of all, what you got is not International device (ENRC2B_U), but AT&T version of One X+.(EVITARE_UL)
As you said, you said you see such information is on the bootloader;

Whoa! I was shocked to learn that! I always thought that the AT&T phones do not have the HTC branding at the top-center of the display.
Anyway, I do not mind waiting for the update. But do I have to do some changes to my bootloader or anything to be able to get the OTA? Or is the phone fine as it is, with SuperCID and S-OFF? (It's also carrier unlocked, btw.)

Thinking of my experience on S-OFF htc phones, an OTA file could be flashed through fastboot, or stock recovery, but I am not sure you can receive the file through the air, I mean through the Internet because of that SuperCID.

Maybe I'm gonna go ahead and flash an OTA file. I'm hoping that the OTA files for HOX that are uploaded by some kind developers work well with my HOX+ too.
Thanks.

Like I said before, you should not and cannot flash Sense 5 4.2.2 rom of International, because the two models are so much different in terms of hardware such as baseband modem and sound chip.

No no, what I meant was I'd try to flash the AT&T HTC One X (not Plus, the HTC Evita) OTA when it's available. There isn't much stuff around for the "Plus" phones (HTC Evitare UL), I checked. There's no discussion forum here in XDA-D either.
But now I realize, even that shouldn't be possible. I'm just stuck. :crying::crying:
If you flash an OTA update from the HOX it will probably fail. On the small chance it does install, you will have a very expensive brick.....

OK, to tell the truth, both phones are much different than that between One X+ International and One X+ AT&T.
To summarize;
1. One X (endeavor_u) : Tegra 3, 1GB RAM, 32GB storage
2. One X AT&T (evita_ul) : Snapdragon S4, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage
3. One X+ International (ENRC2B_U) : Tegra 3 AP37, 1GB RAM, 64GB storage
4. One X+ AT&T (EVITARE_UL) : Tegra 3 AP37, 1GB RAM, 32/64GB storage, however, MDM9615 modem chip, and other sound chip is inside, which is different from One X+ International.
Therefore, roms from both One X AT&T, and One X+ International variant are not suitable for your phone. I'm sorry.
Help me

It seems that you dont have an international version of the phone (enrc2b) , what you have got is the North American version of the phone (EVITARE) . So I am not sure if you will get the update in India or not . More over never flash HOX (Roms, kernels , etc etc ) anything on your phone since that will end up bricking your device , even you should not flash the any thing from the international version of the phone. Buddy the HOX+ (int) and HOX+(At&T) are two completely different device internally .
Try to install custom ROMS supported for At&T, more over Since you have S-OFF rooting and Flashing are easy for you , you dont even need to get the phone unlocked to obtain root or flash ROMs ..

If you are on the ENRC2B version having a S-OFF will not stop you from getting a OTA update , since I got one. More over Having S-OFF will not require to have the device Unlocked or pushing a custom recovery through fastboot .

Guys if you have S-OFF you dont need to unlock the bootloader to flash CUSTOM RECOVERY , ROOTING , OR FLASHING ROMS,
S-OFF means Security OFF so do what ever you feel like with this phone , just dont get it bricked by flashing something that was meant for some other device.

Well I have and I have the enrc2b version, how ever flashing a custom rom wont be a problem on the At&t also as long as the rom is correct.
One more observation , now a days the roms are not comming with the boot.img flashing script in it , so you have to flash it it manually using FASTBOOT else you can end up getting into a bootloop.

Did I softbrick my m7 to death?

Hi All,
I know the title is an oxymoron, but here's the story:
i recently softbricked my HTC M7. Bootloader is in TAMPERED and UNLOCKED. HBOOT Version is 1.54
It's a German provider-free phone, so I tried to install several international 4.4 ROMs including the InsertCoin GE and RevolutionHD GE and also the stock roms with HTCsense by bixie (Odexed).
I did this using ADB-Sideload with the newest Version of both the TWRP-Recovery and the CW-Recovery and EVERY TRY results in an instalation that does not boot past the flying google dots screen.
What am I missing here?
All the best.

Need assist to get OTA

Hi Guys,
I have an HTC One M8,
M8_UL_CA PVT SHIP S-OFF

HBOOT-3.16.0.0000
RADIO-1.15.2133156.UA13G
OpenDSP-v38.2.2-00542-M8974.0311
OS-1.54.401.5
eMMC-boot 2048MB
If I undersand, it is an At&t variant? Does it? But the system is 1.54.401.5 (Android Revolution?).
When I attempt to update, this is what I have "We have determined that your phone may be running a modified version of its system software...." (cf the attachement)
What I have to do for receiving the OTA update?
- installing the recovery stock at&T but it doesn't match with the system on my phone
- installing the ruu at&t but i must change my cid to the at&t cid and i can't because i am not using the at&t carrier.
You need the stock AT&T ROM in order to OTA. But if you are not on AT&T's network, you probably won't receive the OTA anyway (this is AT&T specific, most other variants can be updated regardless of what network you are using).
CID has nothing to do with what carrier you use (its not like a SIM lock). It just allows/disallows installing of HTC software based on what version (CID) you have. It doesn't matter anyway, SuperCID will pass the CID check for the AT&T RUU. But did you change the MID also? As long as you have the right MID and SuperCID, you can run the AT&T RUU and just be updated to Lollipop (Lollipop RUU already available, no need to OTA).
Another option, you might consider changing the MID to a version that is better suited for your region (or an unlocked, or Developer's Edition) and install the stock ROM, firmware, and recovery for that version. Then you will be "fully converted" to another version and should get OTAs for that version.
AT&T stock software is a pile of crap, if you ask me. Not that good even on AT&T's network, and even worse if you are on another network.
