It has been so long since I used Widgetlocker. I am now back to using it because I want to change from stock. I have setup how I want my lockscreen but it would not stick. What I mean is, it does not disable stock lockscreen. When I lock my screen to check, the lockscreen did not change, still stock.
Anyone???
Never mind. Just realised WL is old and no one uses it anymore. Was last updated December 2013. Unfortunate. I paid for it years ago and used to always use it.

Anyone know a fix? The last used screen shows for a second right before lockscreen pops up on wake. This is decently annoying. And I do not want to enable pattern lock.
Thank you!
I get that too, but plan to change to Widget Locker soon anyway.
Question: Do you use a Launcher besides the default TWLauncher? If so, switch to TWL and set your wallpaper there too, then switch back and see if it still happens.
Same here. Its a bug of 2.3.3. Heard its gone with 2.3.4 but ain't sure.
On stock launcher.

I recently rooted my TB and installed the latest CM7 ROM. The only thing that bugs me about the ROM is that when I unlock it after being idle for a few minutes, it always returns to the last app or email or whatever was open before it locked. I would like it to always return to the Home Screen, or Desktop each time it is unlocked. So far, I have not been able to find any setting to make this happen. I was hoping someone might be able to give me a hand with it.
Thanks,
Mark
you could always just download "No Lock" from the market & just use the power on/off button to turn the screen on/off. then you wouldn't have to bother with the lock screen at all. i use that no matter if i'm on sense or aosp. always hated the lockscreen b.s.
Go into cm settings, lockscreen, style options, custom starter app. Set that to be the launcher of your default. Adw is the current defaulted launcher unless you have installed another 3rd party.

You can disable the lockscreen in the cm tablet tweaks settings. No need for 3rd party app.
Thanks for the replies guys. I was hoping to keep the unlock screen appearance the same, without adding more options. I like things to look clean and minimal. However, if it's not possible, then I'll just have to deal with it the way it is.
Thanks,
Mark
Did you ever find a solution?
I too am used to returning to the home screen when I turn my phone on, not the last app I used. Seems like it would be a simple setting...

Once in a while i get the stock lockscreen instead of widgetlocker. Running stock ics rooted. Any ideas and is this common?
Seems related to calendar snooze popups. If i disable the popup it appears to work fine, at least so far.
I get the stock one instead a few times a day, at most. Seems like the stock one kicks in before WidgetLocker can disable it or something.

When that happens, have you had something else popup on your home screen (once you unlock something is waiting for you) because it seems like every time I have another app do that, widgetlocker fails to work.
Wondering if using the root functions would fix the problem as well.
I never had luck with widgetlocker working like it should on my phone.
Having problems with my lockscreens. I'm attempting to substitute Widgetlocker lockscreen for the stock one on my Droid DNA (non-rooted). I'm also having my handcent notification popup show up between the layers of lockscreens.
A quick explanation of what I've done so far:
Created a custom lockscreen with widgetlocker.
Tested it, had 2 lockscreens. (Custom screen, and 3 option pull down screen).
Under the advanced options of Widgetlocker disabled stock lockscreen
Tested, 2 lockscreens still. (Custom screen, and 3 option pull down screen).
Installed NoLock. Enabled no lock mode.
Tested.....THREE lockscreens. (Custom screen, and 3 option pull down screen, and the circle you move to the operation you want screen).
Under Settings -> Personalize, selected No Lock screen
Tested, three lockscreens
Uninstalled NoLock
Tested...2 lockscreens.
At this point I'm at a loss for what to do next to get rid of that stock lockscreen. I would even just give up assuming it can't be done without rooting....EXCEPT, my handcent popup notifications will popup on top of my custom screen, but BELOW the stock on I'm trying to get rid of....this is my 4th Android phone and I've never had it popup under the lockscreen before. Makes me think this is bugged out somehow.
Any help?
I use the settings...personalization..no lock screen route and it works fine. Widgetlocker is the only lockscreen. Maybe undo the "disable stock lockscreen" option through widgetlocker? That's the only thing I can think of. Rest assured it is possible, that's the setup I use. You probably just have some conflicting settings somewhere.

I thought about trying to disable the "disable stock lockscreen" option.....I even went to do it...but it seems it's a one way option. There is no button for undoing it.
My thinking is that it's bugged out somehow.....regardless of how many lockscreens I have, popup notifications should best all of them, right?

You can just remove the lockscreen through adb. You will have the call answering issue...but maybe Chingy will let you use his mod that fixes it.

The more I read and play around with this, the more I think something is wrong - not just a setting that's off.
I uninstalled Widgetlocker, set the Personalize to have a lockscreen.
I checked to make sure that there was indeed a locker, noted which locker, then switched the type under personalize. Checked again....didn't do anything.
So even without any of the custom goodies, the lockscreen isn't working. There has got to be some bug or something here, right?

So I'm a dumbass, as was the expected result....I will share for the benefit of anyone having similar problems (to my shame).
I was using Nova Launcher, but had installed Go Launcher first because that's what I had with my old phone. With Go Launcher came Go Locker. Yeah. I had mistakenly believed that when I had stopped using Go Launcher, it stopped using Go Locker as well.....and it doesn't work that way.
So that lockscreen that I was seeing was actually Go Locker. I wasn't seeing any change when altering the Personalize options because GoLocker was eliminating the stock app without me knowing, putting itself in it's space.
What really threw me for a loop was when I installed Nolock and had THREE lockscreens....it appears that NoLock and GoLocker, each set to disable stock lock, will cancel each other out and allow the stock lock to run.....while not preventing themselves from making an appearance. If that makes sense. So I had GoLocker, Widgetlocker, and the stock lock all running at once......Go me!
Anyway, hope that helps someone.
About two weeks ago, while playing with my phone, a thought occured to me -- why do I have a lockscreen? I then removed my lockscreen all together so that when I hit my power button I'm on my home screen. Lockscreens made sense back when they were keyguards and you had hard buttons and could easly, easily pocket dial someone. But other than me being brainwashed by my mobile OSes for years, I couldn't figure out a solid reason to actually use a lockscreen.
I've been going straight no lockscreen since my epiphany, and it's not been a problem at all. Before switching back to BSX, I just put DashClock as my homescreen widget and it provided the same convenience as me checking my lockscreen. And even now with BSX, I have unread counts in my launcher, so I'm still not missing any of the information I routinely kept on my lockscreen. I've not pocket dialed, or answered, anyone, and I've cut out what I completely unrealistically imagine would've accumulated to years of my life spent "sliding to unlock" my phone.
So... my question. Why do you use a lockscreen? Do you actually need it? Or do you, too, just use it because that's what you do. You have a lockscreen.
No, I use one for pattern lock.
Not sure why I'm using mine still, I haven't had a password in a while. Maybe I should put it back...
