Cloudy on sprint? - Sprint LG G3

Does anybody have CloudyG3 working on sprint. I have read that there are build prop edits needed, and can't find what they are. Can anyone help?

There are people who have cloudy working with the G3's, but unfortunately the thread was closed for the Cloudy G3 ROM. It sounds to me like its more of a hassle then anything (IMHO).. That's just an opinion mind you. Good luck.

The thread was reopened yesterday. The edits were I am hearing were once part of the FAQ, but the links are gone. I was wanting to give it a try but it is proving to be difficult at best.

Here is the link for the download to Cloudy 2.5. It has not been removed, just the thread for people spamming with nonsense.
If you want to give it a try, do yourself a favor and make these edit's after or you're going to have a bad time.
ro.build.target_country: Set to "us"
ro.build.target_operator: Set to "spr"
ro.carrier: Set to "spr"
ro.product.locale.region: Set to "us"
ro.product.name: Set to "g3_spr_us"

I was able to find the download, I just could find what needed to be edited. The thread has been reopened once again. Thanks for the information, this is exactly what I was looking for.

Nice job.
any way you can keep that post on the first page? it would probably avoid alot of people like me, who are browsing the forum asking the same question over and over, cause until this, as best i could tell the answer had been buried 35 pages into a 90 page thread..
good work though, hopefully ill be able to follow this and get it working
Nice job on the write up. I would recommend mentioning in the the GetSPC section that you need to input the HEX value exactly as it is shown when you look up your ESN. Uppercase and lowercase letters will give different results.
Also, it might be good to have a write up like this for reverting back to a stock bootloader and ROM....for those that need it.
Good job!
is there any variance in this process for VZW customers? Primarily I ask because of the reference to the sprint 3.16 release.
My other question is how do I know what code I am running (3.16, etc?)
It might help to explain that I haven't actually purchased the phone yet. I am still clining to my 6700 like grim death, but am keeping tabs on this to see if it's worth it to make the purchase.
Thumbs up to this.. wish this was around before when i first started flashing my mogul

[GUIDE THEME] GingerSwype

Ok guys so with a ton of reading and researching here's a little thing I was trying to figure out for awhile and finally did it so Im going to share a little guide. Now non of this is mine, I just follow instructions well
With all the Gingerbread talk/themes I haven't seen anyone here theme the stock MT4G Swype. I'm on CM7 Nightlies but I believe it should also work with stock MT4G sense since I pulled it from there.
Now before we begin I take no responsibility if this bricks your phone or make it burst in flames. This guide does need a know how to adb and have jdk and jre installed properly to sign the apk.
First we need the stock swype:
-I followed this guide from Marine6680
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=959192&highlight=swype
Now we need the Gingerbread Theme for Swype:
-I got the files from Marurban
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=930306
-The file we need is the 2.6 v0.3 WVGA without Mic
Marurban's guide was kinda confusing and that was where I was having a little trouble. So then I found stone_ship's guide and helped me a lot.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=955721
I simply copied just all the keyboard pngs and left glow and wcw png stock. I still need to learn how to change the font color on the popup
After you have signed your themed swype.apk use Marine6680's guide to install it back to your phone. If your having trouble with this I will try with the best of my ability to help but no promises Enjoy!
Also Please thank Marine6600, Marurban and stone_ship for their guides to make this possible.
FYI, you do relize that if you are just replacing the images as you did, that it can be done in about 10 seconds using 7zip. You dont need to resign the zip, no Apk Manager or anything like that. And this isnt really a "Guide" but just a post with links to guides from other people. If you would like a "Guide on image replacement using 7zip" I will be happy to help.

Did you even read the OP? It clearly says he didn't do anything as he took it from other peoples stuff, it even has name of the people on it. I guess he just found it confusing from original doc so he wrote his own but IDK why he posted here.

No I didnt read the OP, I just posted blindly. WTF kind of stupid comment is that?
When someone makes a thread with "Guide Theme" in the title, I kinda EXPECT A GUIDE. Not links to guides. Second I am in no way trying to flame this guy (like you tried to do to me) but let him know that there is much easier ways to achieve what he has done. I also even offered to help him make a simple GUIDE for doing this.
And whats up with your post? And I quote:

He wrote his own what? GUIDE?
My point with that is it is easy to pick apart someones post huh.
I mean, I dont even know why you posted in this thread. Your comment added absolutly no help to the thread and only tried to flame me.
I will now end this rant before I say something I shouldnt
And your comment added so much help, maybe you should write another EZ guide for it. No one flamed you as you simply try to bash the guy without clearly comprehending what he did. No one cares what you expected thats like you claiming to write guides from using other peoples and not giving them credit for it.
Whoa... Sorry for this guys all I wanted to do was share what I found out myself cause I wanted to theme my swype to gingerbread and didn't know how. So instead of asking I just read up and searched and didn't come up with anything simple. My bad for thinking it might help people.
Mod can you lock or delete this please

Don't worry about it the guy is a troll and thief its just funny as he steal other peoples stuff then claim he writes them but when you did something and even properly named people where you got it from he try to bash you. As I said "I guess he just found it confusing from original doc so he wrote his own but IDK why he posted here." You don't need to apologize you did what you thought would help others in good intention, that is what matters regardless of the trolling from hypocrites. We are here to help others.

First let me apologize for your mucking up your thread. My original post was only meant to offer help to you and somehow it has turned into this.
There is no reason to lock or delete this thread, you did nothing wrong. As a matter of fact you did a great job of researching and figuring out how to do what you wanted to do. I was only offering help to make this more of a guide for what you did and help show you a easier way of achieving it, so you could in turn help people easier. Setting up APK manager and the other things you metioned can be time consuming, especially if you aren't familiar with how to do it.

No problem lets just start a new and please tell me how an easier way can be done. cause all the things I've read about theming swype was thru either metamorph (I'm still reading up on how to make one) and thru Ninjamorph which force closes on my swype. I never ran into 7zip like you mentioned. I usually just read and try to figure things out myself so please do explain
Im always up to new challenges and now knowing how apk manager sorta works I can deep dive on what I might or might not be capable of doing. its really an interesting program
It'd be nice to have something like this for the current beta version. I can't give up my voice-input button. No way.

Well you can still do it, just use the guide and download Marurban's gingerbread theme with the mic on it.
Seems like I missed the party...any how...what's the easiest way to get gingerbread Swype? I don't have my stock mt4g Swype anymore ...hehe!

[Q] Override Throttling

Hey!
Has anyone tried this services.jar modification to override throttling? I wanted to see if anyone had compiled it for the Galaxy\Vibrant and if it worked.

Thanks!

this does not work... at least on my phones... trust me once you delete the throttle folder and contents inside 30 mins later its back... and deleting it DOES NOT REMOVE THROTTLE!
one of my lines has been throttled OVER a month and a half... tmobile gave me a 60 dollar credit because of network problems... get over it... you cant stop throttling and if you think you did or (improve it by deleting the throttle files) i want a video of it actually getting 3g again NOT 70kbs or 80kbs
currently throttled on two phones
tried everything under the sun even the service.jar doesnt work
best of luck
To answer your question though... no it doesn't work.
My friend uses my old touch pro2 since he lost his hd2 and his data plan says something else... it doesn't say 3g or 4g unlimited data. Just says something weird like internet... but be gets the same speeds as I do.
My plan says 4G (for some reason, never changed it from whe I used to use my tp2 but those assholes at t mobile did) but my friends data NEVER gets throttled NO MATTER WHAT HE DOES! Even on his t mobile account when you go to data usage it says 0/0 "this information is not available" so they don't even monitor his data use!
It's bull**** because my plan should be the exact same as his! I had my plan grandfathered too! There should be no difference... ugh hate T Mobile.
To those that actually answered, thank you for the responses!

To Mr. "I'm a stereotypical XDA flamer, wrong section yada yada", this is NOT a typical Q&A post, but a developer related question regarding compatibility of a service.jar mod for our phone. I needed an answer for someone who knew there stuff........ BTW, my avatar is sure better than yours . Why don't you contribute instead of making a useless 1st response...... It's for reasons like your post that we need an anti-thanks button now
Everyone else: thanks for confirming my hunch, I had a feeling it wouldnt work, but I figured I'd see if anyone else had any luck.
The services.jar mod was actually tested in "private beta test" on several versions of Trigger by myself and several other testers (with mod help from Birg). I can tell you that in all cases we were not successful. Our methods included the services.jar mod, deletion of the throttle folder completely, deletion of the files inside the throttle folder and permissions change of that folder, and modification of the files in the throttle folder.
The project was abandoned.

Um? You guys know you have to break the throttle settings in the Phone.apk as well right.

Hey Eugene,
Actually from what I know and have seen this is the first time phone.apk has been mentioned. I was coordinating the test, but I am not a dev by any means. If you would care to help out and give it a shot, I'd be happy to reconstitute the beta team.

Honestly I don't have the time to invest on this... But you can't just break the throttle in service.jar & expect it to work.. You have to break the Throttle settings completely to over ride this or enter in your own Values to make it work...
Currently though, even this hack with be done away with shortly as monitoring will be done on the server side from what I hear.

Yes, that is what I was given to understand as well. Currently my source tells me that they basically are "pinging" the device to check if a flag is set so that it can be turned on and off during and at the end of the bill cycle. I have not been able to get a projected date for a full server side implementation though. If it is a short term switch I agree that it might not be worth all the development and testing....

Thanks for the info, Eugene. This is a new area of experimentation for me, so I wasn't sure how deep the "throttle" setting was embedded within service.jar & Android (seems its a lot deeper than I thought). I figured they would eventually switch to a server based throttling like Verizon, but I had hopes.....
Always appreciate your advice!

HELP need files for UnNamed 2.2.1 plz

I need a copy of the 'Belkin Compatibility' file for UNnamed ver. 2.2.1! The links to multiupload are not working! Help please! And this isn't junk this time!
I wouldn't help you just because of the stupid thread title you used. This thread will be useless to anyone with the same problem that actually takes the time to do a search.
I did research!!!!!!!!!!! I looked everywhere, and could not find the file! Know your facts dude...
Thread title changed to better reflect the issue.
Also, GTG sold his device awhile back but I thought he put up some more links. You might want to check that thread and maybe look back a few pages (within the last 4-6 weeks) and find your files.

[Q] DPI?

Hi,
I am currently using OnlyOne rom. I have read through bunch of threads but could not find answers to what changing DPI does. I think I know how to but just don't know why you should or what it does. If anyone could explain to me that would be helpful. Thanks!

No disrespect but you didnt read thru a whole bunch of threads
cuz if you did you woulda of known
but anyways DPI is the dinsity and if changed properly on the note
you get enable "Tablet Mode"
and it changes the complete look of the screen depending on how high or low
you set the density
That is... freaking awesome!
I will make sure to do more research next time. Thanks for replying
