time fails - Samsung Gear Fit

Hi,
sometimes my GF shows me wrong time., after it woken up on standby. When i wipe to another screen (up or down) and then back to time. It shows me the correct time.
I set time if GF wakes up as standard.
Firmware: BOA2
I think only the BOA2 have this problem. But I m not sure.
Perhaps time fails if I had crossed my arms bevor.
What do you think?

Random Shutdowns?

Does anyone else experience their GS2 randomly powering off?
I just got this phone yesterday and it did it twice yesterday while in my pocket and twice today. Just recently I had an incoming call (phone was in vibrate mode) and about 10 seconds after it started vibrating right as I was about to answer the call the phone shut itself down. Completely.
I had to long hold the power button to completely boot the phone back up.
I'm on rooted stock OTA 2.3.6 but it was happening before the update. Anyone else have this problem?

Nope - I suggest taking it to the AT&T store for an exchange.
Check to see if there is some movement of the battery. I read here or another forum when I was searching regarding random shutdowns and thing that seemed to be similar was that the battery did not fit very tight and could move slightly and cause a reboot.
Simple fix is to insert some paper between the battery and the case to keep it tighter in place (opposite end of the battery from the contacts). No reboots for me since I did that earlier this week.

If the battery is that loose, the device is probably defective.
i went to radio shack where i bought it from yesterday and after a bit of a struggle i managed to get them to exchange it for a brand new one.
i also read about the loose battery connection but i felt that if that were the case i do not want to spend the next 2 years or so (i hold onto my tech for as long as possible) dealing with wedging things behind the battery.
i'll update if the new s2 i got has this same problem
two times when i've woken up and checked my phone its been powered off.
I figured it was SetCPU (having the CPU at .2Ghz min/ondemand and 1.6 max)
may have made the phone turn off.

Overclocking/undervolting always carry a risk of the phone crashing or hanging.
I've recently started having this issues. It's not a battery loose issue and I do not OC / UV my CPU. Started about 3 weeks ago and has happened 4 - 5 times intermittently. Its a "sleep death" issue where the phone goes to sleep and doesn't turn back on until you manually boot it by holding the power button down for about 10 - 15 seconds. For now AT&T is sending me a new battery. This is a possible cause because with investigating this issue, I have been checking my battery stats every day by typing *#0228# and having it do a quick start. The battery percentage will always drop by 5 - 40% after the quick start, but will increase about 3 - 5% within approximately 5 minutes.

It's a known issue that if the fuel gauge is reset when the battery is at a lower state of charge, it'll get thrown off and report lower than usual for a bit until it stabilizes.
I think what happens is if you do a reboot, the fuel gauge is assuming a "relaxed" battery when in reality the battery is at high load due to the boot process. So the fuel gauge thinks it's lower than it really is.
Google Maxim MAX17040 - while we have a 17042 with a few extra features, it's VERY similar in operation to the '40.

SGS2 not waking after locking screen

so heres the story:
when i lock the phone, the screen turns off as normal. but when i hit the power/home button to wake it and unlock it, nothing happens. literally, nothing happens. its as if the phone has turned itself off.
So whats happened is, I left the phone on the charger last night. it woke perfectly this morning when the alarm went off. no issues there.
I put the phone into my pocket and headed into work. i went to check my phone when i got on the bus and this was the first tme that I noticed that the phone wasnt waking. i eventually pulled the battery to get the phone to restart. i tried it again and the same thing happened.
later I made a phone call. the same thing happened again when i took the phone away from my head (the screen didnt restart, and I couldnt hit the End Call button cause there was none.)
since then, i've figured that to make sure the phone doesnt go to permanent sleep i have to do one of 2 things,
1) keep the phone music player running constantly, or
2) keep the phone connected to the usb charger.
clearly this isnt exactly practical for a mobile.
im not running any other Rom, its still the stock rom, android v 2.3.5, not rooted or anything else?
is this somethign anyone else has seen?
its called 'sleep of death' or SoD. some people has experienced this and some are able to fix it. it depends on what is causing it.
some blame it to the battery and the battery's contact point..
sometimes it fix itself after few reboots..
cheers for the info. Ill look into it and see if its worth trying to fix or just sending back.
no problem, i have this problem and cant do anything about it. i used load monitor to keep the phone awake, u/v a bit so it wont drain so much battery. but battery drainage still noticeable like 1% every 5 min..
just wondering, does it feels hot/warm near the camera lens when it happens? bcause mine does.
not particularly.
i finally got through to my provider and will be able to get it fixed/replaced soon. they just dont half drag their feet

[Q] Freezing and random power off moments

For awhile now I have been running the AOKP ICS ROM v7.3.2012 on my sgh-i777 and along with my poor battery life (which I assumed was normal after skimming through multiple forums) my phone has been freezing up (not requiring hard reboots 90% of the time) and shutting down at points in the night. Throughout the day my phone is a must and is ran like a mule. Assuming I'm fulfilling my RAM's duties, I am faced with force closes on programs frequently. Every night when I go to bed, I plug in my phone and let it idle throughout the night. The past two nights I've woken up on my own, thankfully in time for my test this morning, to find my phone off. Not just off, but completely down (requiring me to eject the power cord and battery for a few minutes and reapply the battery). When I try to turn it back on the navigation panel lights flash and seconds later the phone powers back on. This is my second sgh-i777 from AT&T after my first phone began turning itself on and off in an endless loop. The ROM build has served me well for months and all the sudden these shut-downs have been occurring. It's becoming a bother to my phone's vital importance in my everyday goings. Please help.

I would first perform a back up then perform a full wipe and reflash your rom of choice. If it continues to happen... flash back to stock to see if it still happens. If it does then you may need to warranty the phone.

[Q] Screen will not wake up

My S3 is about 10 months old, and over the last week I've experienced a problem where the screen will not wake up. The first time I thought the phone may have shut down, but then I noticed that in some cases the notification light was flashing, but pressing the home or on button didn't do anything. I tried calling it, and it appeared to ring (from the phone I was calling) but there was no tone and the screen remained off (with no missed call recorded). Only solution is to remove/replace battery and start it.
Tried to search online for a solution but all I could find is that either it's dying, or some app is causing this, with one entry mentioning chrome. Uninstalled chrome and the problem has not reappeared but it was quite random before, first happening once and then again after several days, and yesterday several times in one day, so I need more time to see if chrome was the culprit (I'm not too convinced otherwise there would be more mention of this).
If anyone has any idea please let me know. Phone in unlocked from purchase, not rooted, stock, fully updated.
This comes at a time when I want to buy a dual-sim android phone as I have 2 numbers for work/travel purposes. Annoyingly none of the top manufacturers produce high performance phones that are also dual sim. Closest I found is the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos, which seems not bad bit lower spec than the S3 and a bit larger (S3 about as large as I'm prepared to go). Again if anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it.
just to add, I did a factory reset a short while ago as the phone felt a bit laggy compared to earlier use, and after reset was behaving better until this problem appeared
My S3 has behaved similarly 4-5 times since summer. Only removing battery helps. Few days ago it happened two times in row. Screen is off, no way to make it wake up. Removed battery, reboot. When screen went off again, same story again. Had to remove battery again. And in the night phone was making complete restart with PIN asking (usually it makes only android starting again without asking PIN code for SIM). I woke because of that Samsung starting sound. Next day phone just ate battery while being "idle". Basically from 100%-5% within workday just lying on the desk. After several reboots and charging to full battery it behaves as usual, -0,5% per hour.

Thanks, will see if the problem goes away for me also. I normally charge it fully quite often, since I usually keep it on charge overnight, and I have a second battery with a battery charger so I often swap batteries to put a fresh one in. I rely on my phone a lot for work so not sure I can afford to wait much longer, I think I'll buy the Grand and just put up with the lower specs...

Question Has someone suddenly turned off the Xperia 1 IV? Thank you

Has someone suddenly turned off the Xperia 1 IV? Thank you
Not sure what you are asking??
My phone turned off automatically
It s normal? has happened to someone?
shouldn`t happen, from my 2 Xepria 1 IV`s I have had, I have never had this issue.
had mine since end of june, that never happened.
Agree cannot happen easily, but possible if the volume and power buttons were pressed together for few seconds or your phone had a processor failure that results in a reboot rather than a shutdown
...or maybe when you got the notification that you hadn't rebooted in a while and ignored the notification, it decided to shutdown to teach you a lesson - Sony Rulez! Just joking, no something must have gone wrong somewhere for that to happen.
This has happened to me once only.
I narrowed it down to overheating seeing as the most obvious answer.
Otherwise I've noticed some battery related irregularities like 10% but upon powering on I see 2x% battery.
(Or 13% battery remaining however it shuts down showing 4-5% and other times living to its full potential lmao).
My 1 IV got the problem yester day.
When I was watching TV on Chrome app , it suddenly turned off , I can't turn on by hold the power button or power + volume up/down .
Then I put the charger on the phone wake up again and the battery showing 28% , it was 36% before it turned off
i have had this issue on 2 Xperia 1 IV, first one i could return for exchange as it happened within 30 days
the replacement did not have issues until after about 2 months so I am stuck with it.
did anyone narrow down the issue or managed to get it repaired?
I spoke to sony repair centre and they told me if they cant find the issue as its random, they will just return it as it is.
Yeah min 12 times in the month. And yesterday I drove home used Android Car and was by a call. Suddenly the phone shuts down.
This is so poor from Sony. This phone is so annoying me.
On Saturday my mom bring me her old Samsung Note Phone.
I have enough oh this part of a **** phone.
Think about it! 1400€ and you got a peace of ****...
I am still waiting for a costum rom...
so.....almost a year now and never happened, just the usual "you didn't restart your phone for more than 28 days bla bla bla".....
