Why don't or can't you flash any rom specific to your variant in TWRP that you now have?

Hi all,
I'm trying to get an i9300 back to the land of the living. It started with just hanging on the Samsung logo, I booted into recovery and got the following errors:
I've tried to flash stock with Odin, and although it said successful the errors persist.
Any ideas?
Try the rescue firmware thread, flash with the included pit file and follow the instructions.
No dice. Everything installs fine but get the same errors. I've tried 4.1.2 and 4.3, both result in the same situation.
Time for a new phone, sorry.

Hello,
I have been trying to flash TWRP to my SM-G925F and whenever I boot it says: "Recovery is not SEAndroid enforcing." (If this happens I just flash the stock recovery back and it works)
Is there a way to turn off "SEAndroid" or am I flashing the wrong version of TWRP onto my phone?
Please reply quickly because I would really like TWRP!

As far as I remember, flashing a custom recovery gives you that message. It's been like that for years which points me to the fact you're either new to Samsung or new to flashing a custom recovery on a Samsung

normal..which version you tried..
here is the guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3144866
Hello, I am using the 2.8.7.1-zeroflte TWRP recovery for the normal S6 not the S6 edge, would that be the problem?
not if it work..that sentence is normal..as it's because of the system write protection / security from 5.1.1 you have to live with that
It's not as intrusive as In past devices eg note series that I have rooted. And it sure doesn't effect functionality. You'll be looking more at the home screen than a reboot screen (unless your a dev lol )
I am having the issue with my phone.... I rooted phone with a 5.0.1 recovery on 5.1.1 rom. Now its stuck in a loop at SAMSUNG Galaxy S6 Edge

How I can repair my smartphone if I already made it or it isn't solved? Please help
Hi All
Need an urgent help. While trying to root my S6 edge,India version! I think, I have bricked my phone. Its stuck on 'recovery is not seandroid enforcing'. Its only getting into the Download mode. But I have tried everything so far on the internet and no luck in fixing it. My variant version is - SM-G925I and the firmware was G925IDVU3DOK9.
Can anyone please help me with the steps to fix this issue!
Appreciate the help.
PS: Attaching the screenshot with the 'About the phone' details. Please let me know, if you need anything from my side.
Regards
Deeptiman
im trying to get my bricked s6 edge back to stock and just up an running again sm-g925f
was given to me in bricked state by my 16 year old cousin whom im trying to fix it for...
not sure if its rooted or what firmware it has on it now...
tried allsorts last 6 days, all new stock firmwares from sammmobile etc.
tried twrp etc
not sure what to do or where im going wrong.
odin wont flash any firmware file?? just gives fail after passing md5 part
So my G925F got bricked recently by updating the phone to 5.1.1 UK BTU firmware (G925FXXU2BOFJ) and the phone would not boot up. It was stuck on the boot logo. I did hours of research and finally managed to get it working by flashing Unibase Kernel.
Now the problem I am facing is that I want the phone back to 100% stock. Even unrooting the phone won't work because Unibase will reinstall SuperUser during restart. If I reinstall 5.1.1 using Odin it will hang on boot logo until I flash it with a custom Kernel, in my case Unibase did the trick.
Ive also flashed the phone using Samsung SmartSwitch with original firmware it still fails to boot until its flashed thereafter with a custom Kernel (UniBase)
Ive also tried the solution of removing hidden.img from firmware then repacking and flashing it, still seems to be the same problem (hanging on boot logo) Ive also tried to hard reset phone after flashing and yet its still faces the same problem. Is there a stock Kernel or any other solution anyone may know?
All help is appreciated and I will be happy to try any solution or method posted. Cheers
flash stock firmware with odin but uncheck auto-reboot. Once its done boot into recovery, clear cache, factory reset and it should boot
Please check and try this

Mine didn't boot and KNOX was touched and after i flashed a stock ROM via ODIN it was all ok. I used but a ROM from https://www.samdownloads.de/firmwares/alle-firmwares/#

Thanks guys, Ive tried both of your solutions, unfortunately the problem still exists. The phone will hang on
"Powered by Android" boot logo until I flash it with a custom Kernel. Weird problem
Ive checked, its definitely the boot.img causing the problem. Unibase flashes modified boot.img which turns the phone on

Out of interest, why do you need to return it to 100% stock?

Try this one
http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=2020C76552DC11E6B055FA163EE8F90B
The dm verity fail error is usually because the efs files/folder has become corrupt. So if he gets this phone back on there is a good chance the Imei is lost, therefore will be unable to use SIM card/calls and texts.
Try the firmware I posted and report back.
EDIT: first before any flashing tell me what region he is?
What firmware did he flash?
In recovery wipe data/cache... does the phone boot up?
Hi,
I have the 925f. I was in a custom rom but had some issues in my phone (7.0 A8 port), so I decided to flash back to stock through ODIN. After flashing G925FXXU5ERA4 it was stuck almost 30 min in samsung logo. Then I went back to DL mode and tried again with the same result. I also tried flashing G925FXXU5EQFC but again it was stuck. I did this several times.
Am I lacking something? Any help will be appreciated.

If it's stuck in Samsung logo just leave it longer, the first boot can take quite a while
Thanks callumbr1!
It was almost an hour and it didn't passed the logo (I tried two stock roms through ODIN). I solved it by flashing twrp wiping system and a rom through a zip file.

anytime when u flashing new firmware via odin u need to go to recovery and factory reset the device , thats the point that odin dont do while installing and that why u cant pass trought samsung logo.
