Thanks a lot! any idea if/when our device will get its own forum on xda? What about a codename, like redmi 1s is known as Armani. And do you plan on making this cm11 as official by submitting it to them?
Edit(8-8-2015)
Okay I'm editing this useless post and adding some info to make it useful because a lot of people are gonna be seeing it, since it's on the first page.
I flashed this rom about a week ago and this is the most stable rom for this device. It is pure and simple Cyanogenmod. No unneeded extra bloated features gotten through hacking and what not. Nope. Simple and pure cyanogenmod. And that's why it runs smooth as butter. Let's talk point wise about some things.
1) Battery- For me, the most important thing about a phone is its battery life. If it is plugged in half the time, what's the use. A mobile is supposed to be mobile. This rom has great battery life. It gives a screen on time of 7 hours. Read that again. Not overall time. Just the screen on time of 7 hours. Over all time can easily go upto 3 days if you use it for 2 hours every day. I'm a heavy user though and it lasts me a minimum of 7 hours. This is as good as the stock Miui rom and the developer has done this without the kernel sources, so thumbs up to him. Be sure to thank him by pressing the thanks button.
2) Ram - It's a 1GB ram phone. At least that's what I'm using. So dont expect the performance of a flagship from it. If you use greenify and hibernate all useless apps, you wont face a single lag or stutter. I always have around 300-350 mb ram free after installing around 120 apps. All of them are greenified, except whatsapp, hike, alarm clock, nova launcher and swiftkey. I'm a greenify freak. Whatever you do, be sure to greenify facebook and chrome because they hog a lot of ram.
3) Sound/Music - I was very surprised by the music quality that this rom provides. It's loud and clear as the Miui rom. To get such clarity and quality in an early build of a custom rom and that too without kernel sources is a miracle. Kudos to the dev.
4) Camera - Now we are talking. :victory: Everyone is concerned about the camera. Well the stock camera is not good and it doesnt take pictures as good as the Miui rom camera. But not to worry, go to page 4 or 5 of this thread and you'll find the apk of cyanogen camera linked there. Download it and install it normally. It works quite good. It also has the option of time lapse video which is quite nice. But some of you might not like even that camera. So search for "Miui camera port for cyanogenmod" and you should find a miui forum link where the zip file is present. Download the file and flash it via recovery and voila! you'll have that awesome camera back again. PS - It's not the miui 6 camera, its miui v5 camera. PPS - It was originally intended for Redmi 1s but it works very good on our device. The name of the file is MIUICamera44-4.zip and its size is 2.2 mb.
That's it people. This is an awesome rom and i havent faced any bugs till now. I cant even imagine using that horrible miui 6. Xiaomi makes great hardware but poor software. Installing cm11 makes our device high on steroids. :highfive: Enjoy the rom. I will update the post later if i feel like adding some more info.
Dont forget to thank the developer for his hardwork by pressing the thanks button. Thanks me too, if i helped you.

By the way.. i flashed it and i didn't test everything, but it seems solid, thanks again.

CM most likely won't accept devices on CM 11.0. I'm still waiting for official kernel source release before starting to work on CM 12.1.

HM201481x is the actual codename of the device.
I've just released a new build with a fix for proximity (for those who had issues with it before).
Good to finally see this rom here in xda, thank you so much for your work.BTW on your latest build and i can confirm that the proximity now works perfectly.
Waiting for CM 12.1 build.

Yep, and due to this proliferation of codenames... it will be a mess understand which ROM is for which Redmi 2.
As an example: is this ROM for HM2014813? or just 11 (which is the most common one?)?
Can we share the best practice over at miui.com forum by stating in the title the code of the device the ROM is made for?
For the people out there:
- Device code is written on the phone, below the battery slot
- 2014811 is the 1GB RAM model
- 2014813 is the 2GB RAM model
Thanks!!!

That isn't true actually. 2014813 is just 2014811 with different bands. 2GB models have another codename altogether (either that or they have the same codename). Anyway, my ROM works on all Redmi 2 variants, except that it will change your model to 2014811 once flashed.
Thanks. Power-off Alarm still has not been solved yet. Looking forward to your next version.

I'm looking for a new phone, and the Redmi 2 made it to my shortlist, but I would like CM on it. When I buy one, it will be a 2GB HM2014813 (they are actually advertised with this number) because of the bands supported.
When you say this ROM will change the model to 2014811, do you mean it just changes the modelnumber in the software, or does it also change the supported bands to the ones of the 2014811?
Also: are there any known non-working parts like in other ROM's?
Thanks!

The ROM only changes the model number. Your phone still acts like a HM2014813.
The ROM is pretty much bug-free; I have been using it as my daily driver since the first release.
Hi, does this ROM works on Redmi 2 Enhanced (2GB ram,16GB internal) version?

Oh! Nicely done
It's great to see support for this device! Do you plan on bringing this to P5210/P5220 as well? Also, how's the RAM usage on this one? I can't try this ROM for myself unfortunately because I have a P5210, but I'm interested in trying it out if you ever port it to my device. That being said, keep up the good work!

Im curious dude, whats the rom like? Is it fast? Does multi window work properly?
Well I hate to trash any developers work...cuz this guys put so much time in doing this work ,testing and modding and porting ROms to our devices.....
I'm really grateful to them!!
Here is a list of what I really hated with ELASTIC ROM:
1.ROM use too much RAM, system ui stopped working more than 3x since installation and that message kept popping out, and when I click wait still comes back and when I click okay it reboots and still say samething system ui not responding and becomes unusable!!!
Frustrated,I reinstalled the ROM using my usual apps, multibooting, same thing happened again, system not responding, crash, reboot!!
2.the user interface is laggy but then again that's the reputation of TW
3.multiwindow?
...this is not straight out of the box, this is uSing xposed framework, xhalofloatingwindows, xmultiwindow, and multiwindowsidebar...
Meaning if you're new to the scene and not know how this modules work with xposed framework you're gonna get lost and frustrated!!
4.the preinstalled apps...
....the ROM is full of xposed modules, before I even install one of mines the list is already around 10 if not more...this shows that this ROM apart from note 5 icons , note 5 boot sounds, has being mostly twicked using xposed framework!! Things we're today very comfortable in doing ourselves, Not disrespecting anyone by saying that!!
5.using nels83 CM 12.1 unofficial, beta 1 latest version it's the ultimate choice!!
It's lag free, memory and battery friendly, and I had not never suffered any lags like I accounted in this ROM based on 4.4.2!
I know one would argue and say that @nels83's work it's based on cyanogen-mod and unoFficial...that being said he's ROM It's much faster, stable, and based on lollipop 5.1.1!
6.for most of users what matters if how the ROM responds, is it lagging, how's the battery life, how many preinstalled apps it has consuming the RAM, coz I'm gonna need install mine too, and still expect flawless responds from the ROM!
But this ROM ,ELASTIC ROM, has failed this departments mostly!!
7.I believe that if a ROM is put out for testing and claimed to be custom and all it has it's mainly xposed framework modules, then really any of us should start uploading our twicked ROMs for other users to try out!!!
8.with all respect to khalendro and his team, I couldn't use the ROM to even run KODI...I tried this twice, it stopped responding and said app not responding then after few seconds rebooted!#
Same thing happened with restoring my apps with titanium BACKUP, it stopped responding, crashed, rebooted...it seems like heavy duty apps if running,I couldn't use my tablet....
But having said all this things...I believe that most of the xda developers are excellent and having looked at your contributors I was amazed hoping that the ROM will out beat most of the TW based custom KITKATS!!
....................
My purpose of writing this is not to trash anyone or mislead other users keen to try out this ROM, this are my critics based on the experience I got from the little time I attempted to test your hard work mate!!
Maybe it's bad luck, I've reverted back to my nandroid backup coz I was getting frustrated which should not be the case after installing a new ROM, looking forward to your future work mate!!
...................
i hope that my critics if any were helpful in anyways rather then disrespecting your hard work!!
........
This will obviously not be complete if I don't mention all the good things I can't get from CM 12.1!
1.p5200 RILL works perfectly well, voice calls good, but this is not working on my CM 12.1, still under development
2.smart cover worked out of the box with this ROM..., camera also works fine, including screen mirroring/chromecast
3.for some reason Wi-Fi seemed to be stable while updating apps from play store, an issue I have on my current CM 12.1
3.I loved the NOTE 5 icons, but angried by all those millions xposed modules preinstalled!!
4. I'm positive I would have found more if I had more time to use the ROM without random reboots and system not responding messages!!!
5......

Thanks for the report i'm very happy to see that there is somone using my work and reporting it
as for the rom problems
i guarantee to you that the rom has no problems of FC's and random rebbots
why ?
bacause i have flashed it 5 times before uploading it to xda
i wiped
system
cache
dalvik cache
and data
to Guarantee that there isn't iny space for errors like what you faced
there is also someone have tested the rom and he didn't complain from anything in the rom no lag no FC's and no random reboots and i have asked him just from half an hour
i'm not saying that you lie or somthing of course not
but you know android is full of little mistakes that could make big errors
as for the Rom problems
1 - Much ram
it's based on stock kitkat of samsung and i have deodexed it and removed alot of samsung crap to Guarantee that the Ram consumption is the lowest i have added greenify and busy before uploading it but after testing it i had a random reboots so i didn't want to have problems like this so i removed booth of them
2-as for system ui FC
the only modification that i made it into it that i added the s6 toogles and i'm the one who made the toogles and the one who but it there - however i keept the orignal system.ui in it's place Root/priv.app/system ui .apk.bak
if you want to replace it with the orignal just change the system ui .apk to system ui.apk.1 and remove the .bak from the other one and try it
3-the lag of touchwiz
the main goal of this rom is to be like best touchwiz rom for the tab 3 10.1 so this means that it must be fast and there is nothing called lag
this rom is currently my OS for the tab and i have no problems at all i haven't installed any new thing
4-multiwindow
i have searched for weeks for a solution of the multiwindow for our tab 3 10.1 model but non of them are working there is a dev who tried as hard as he could to make it works for us but it didn't
so the only option i had is to use xposed module
5- as for the alot of xposed modules
every one of them is usefull module
i have installed them in rom to make the user relaxed by not searching for them and installing them i can remove them easily
but i see that i'm as i user i need them
as for the fix of your problems
i see to backup you data with TWRP
then wipe
system
cache
dalvik cahce
and data
then reflash the rom and see if there is any problems
and you can restore data with TWRP i do this alot and not facing any problems with the rom
It's good that you haven't taken my review as an attack...like I did mention I wiped everything including my internal storage x2 but faced lags......
Multi booting will be great if used without xposed ...it's really encouraging to see that someone out there is trying something...
? ? ?
....
Thanks for the tip about the system ui FC
All best with future release!!
Still....
HiOk it may have some bugs and maybe the touchwiz ui is a bit laggy but if im honest i like touchwiz better than cyanogenmod because cyanogenmod is boring and dull and touchwiz looks great. Even though cyanogenmod is faster.
The next version should be better as in less of those bugs you guys are talking about and also support for the wifi version of our tab 3. Great job though dude you really put a lot of effort into this rom and cant wait for the next update of elastic rom. Thanks!!!! Touchwiz is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good job thanks for your hard work
Hmmmm....
Hey do you know when the next update will come out. I really want to try it out however i have wifi version (p5210). Do you know when the next version will come out?? I really want to know what day it will come out. Great rom.!!!!
Time Appropriate Greetings fellas!!!
This is my take on the AOSP 6.0 for Lenovo K3 Note....
AOSP_PURE is ported from Zopo Speed 7 just like it was done during the early lollipop days, with the help of few tutorials available on the internet I managed to port a stable marshmallow rom with few bugs obviously, its a learning process for me and those who wish to test it or modify it are welcome to do it but please credit me and people in my credit section and also please comment in the thread what u have done to correct the bug because in the end all we need is Fully functioning ROM and knowledge of how to do it....
AOSP PURE based on the latest firmware of zopo speed 7 with latest security updates. It is not a modification to zoromax port. This AOSP release has very few modifications so that the user can do whatever you want. Have fun!!!
Known Bugs
LED for stuffs
D2W
3G/4G Connection Issues
SMS Issues
Youtube Issues
Proximity not working during calls
SDCard Corruption
Camera doesnt open
Hardware Capacitive buttons not working (only software touch buttons)Cannot play Video or record sound
Comment if u find more....
this is a stable release except for the usual LED and D2W stuff....rooted, gapps installed, busybox and is MultiLanguage...
This rom comes as two versions ODEXED and DEODEXED
ODEXED ROM means the app have seperate odex files to make them open faster. The odexed rom usually boots quicker but the boot time increases as the number of apps installed increases. In general odexed roms are snappier than deodexed rom but modern smartphones have better processor to make this delay negligible.
DEODEXED ROM means the the odex files are placed in apk instead of being a seperate file, so every time an app is opened it is extracted to load the odex file in memory which takes more time than having odex files outside. But again in current gen processors the delay is negligible. Deodexed rom has long intial boot time but after the first boot no matter how many apps are installed they boot at the same time.
WARNING TEST THIS AT UR OWN RISK....BACKUP EVERYTHING U HAVE BEFORE DOING ANYTHING...
Boot into TWRP recovery
Wipe Dalvik Cache, Cache, System and Data

Changelog
Beta 1
Initial release
Beta 2
Fixed Camera, Audio and Video Playback as well as recording, Hardware Capacitive Touch,
Added SnapIT and Lenovo Gallery for few options as Stock Camera has some issues.
This version is odexed for better initial boot time, hence the bigger size.
Stable 1
Fixed proximity and sdcard corruption. Bugs left are led and d2w. Removed Lenovo camera and gallery as it had issues with front camera.
Stable 1.1
Fixed the "settings stopped" when opening security in settings and a few tweaks to improve the UI smoothness.
Stable 1.2
Fixed 3G/4G Connection Issues (thanks to sandeep sethi ). Few tweaks to improve overall responsiveness. Relased the rom as two version odexed and deodexed.
Stable 1.3
Fixed SMS issue which was left over in Stable 1.2 and youtube now supports upto 1080p. Added few additional apps like
FDroid - Open Source App Store
Adaway - To prevent ads by replacing host files
Naptime - For better doze behaviour make use of it. Thanks to Fransisco Franco for developing this app
NewPipe - Open source simple app that can replace youtube and also can download youtube videos.
Naked Browser - The most lightweight web browser
SuperSU is now at 2.76.
Stable 1.4

Updated to June Security update [as in firmware]

Replaced Root Explorer with MiXplorer for ethical reasons
Improved UI Response
NOTE
There is a new app in /system/app called "FineSearch" which opens to the newly added search bar as a part of Quick Settings tile. Seems like zopo added it to promote yahoo which sucks. I leave it to the user to remove it if u want. Don't ask me to remove it from quick setting tile, anyone who know how to do it are welcome to do it coz i hate it too
Stable 1.5
Removed FineSearch Yahoo Ad in quick setting tile

I flash this rom , during 1st boot it stuck on lenovo logo. You told that keep patience and wait for 10 to 15 mins, I waited for around half an hour. It never boots up bro. Complete waste of data I downloaded and as well as time.
Will this work for k4 note or can u pl port and post a thread?

of course i wont ,i m just a user, just want to find one rom stable and smooth, and if i removed the pre installed apps in the roms(based on the marshmallow) i experienced before, i couldnt access the system.so i wonder it is the issue of android 6.0 or not. Thanks for your work again.
St 1.4 released
Thanks for providing the first stable AOSP 6.0 experience! I am using 1.3 now for more than a day not as a daily driver. It's stable, however I feel that stock 6.0 is more smooth due to I think better memory management. I am a light user, no games, mostly youtube/chrome/gmail.
Time Appropriate Greetings fellas!!!
This is my take on the AOSP 6.0 for Lenovo K3 Note....
AOSP_VIBE is based on the latest VIBEUI Dev edition released for K3 Note by Lenovo and so it has the bugs that will be present in that release. This rom is developed with the idea to have the best of both words which is the simplicity of AOSP and the features of lenovo tied to K3 note, its a learning process for me and those who wish to test it or modify it are welcome to do it but please credit me and people in my credit section and also please comment in the thread what u have done to correct the bug because in the end all we need is Fully functioning ROM and knowledge of how to do it....
AOSP VIBE based on the latest firmware of VIBEUI with latest security updates. It is a cleaned up, no nonsense lighter edition. Face it, whatever rom we port it is not going to be better than VIBEUI compiled with the complete source of K3 note. So have the experience of AOSP in VIBE...have fun...

st 1.3 released
everything is good except some module in xposed not working .
this rom is good!
would be better if dolby is pre-isntalled rather than dsp+ anyway just a minor problem, have removed the dsp and installed dobly. now its perfect!
this rom got some problem.
I think build.prop need to add ro.product.locale.region and ro.product.locale.language.
Because i notice my phone unable to find "dead trigger 2" and "unkilled " and after two line added. These game show in my play store.
And some xposed module unable to use it, wechatunrecalled.
Except this two minor bugs, this is a total good rom ! With good ram management.
Battery Backup and VR Mode?
Is the battery backup good? And is VR Mode present in the ROM?
Please update do dev 1631 cuz it's great rom! Btw I can't flash this version because of error 7 in twrp. Tried multiple times, downloaded twice and with different twrp versions

ROM seems to work well. All major functions appear to be operational, and it is nice to see AOSP-ness (don't think that is a word, but hey). A few minor issues though:
Firstly, I removed the theme centre because it was frankly, annoying. I don't need themes, but one thing that gets broken during removal is the ability to select ringtones. I can download Zedge and pick something from there, but it's not the same. Is there a way to get the standard ringtone picker back?
Another little issue which does get annoying (I suppose you get used to it) is that scrolling acceleration seems to be exaggerated. I notice this on a lot of MTK ROMs, so I am not sure if this one is fixable.
The last little issue is that there is some Chinese text in the dialer and phone apps. I don't access to my K3 Note at the moment (I'm travelling and my mum uses it), but I was wondering how the Google Phone and Google Contacts app worked on this device:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.dialer&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.contacts&hl=en
If it were possible to replace the stock dialer and contacts app with the Google equivalent that would be awesome. If someone has some feedback that would be great. So far I am finding this the most stable ROM for this device
Edit: There's another issue, which I can't explain, how sometimes my internal storage goes "missing" and the entire contents of my internal storage gets moved to data/media/sdcard/, and the new internal storage becomes /data/media/sdcard/0, where there isn't any data. Really bizarre, and certainly disconcerting for my poor mum who now uses this phone.
Hey guyz, I am opening this thread to discuss latest Los 16 by Nichcream for Redmi 3s/ Redmi 3s prime/ Redmi 3X ( Device code LAND) . I found this build very stable. No bug encountered yet.
Los ROMs are for those who does not want many customizations and love to stock android ROM experience and Los is purest form of it.
As Nich builds are super stable and surprisingly I found this Los build is super smooth, no heating problem and Finger print recognition is super fast.
Full credit to Nichcream sir, I am just discussing on his build.
For Indian users Volte, Vilte both working but no Volte logo in status bar.
No much customization except network traffic and button customization as you know Los is not known for customization but you will certainty like it for stability , smoothness and performance.
Gcam and all other stuff working super fine.
:good:
In the case you didn't found the link for download it is below here :

Here are some screenshots of 26 June build
Again it is to remind you that it is non treble and unofficial build and it seems that we are very close to Los 16 official and we hope for Nichcream will be maintainer for it.
I will post battery backup graph after some time .
Enjoy Los 16 Full credit to Nichcream.

Thnx corrected
Great idea to open this thread. I was searching around myself on nichcreams filehost profile and wanted to try this new rom as well. I checked nichcreams github and he keeps updating the land and kernel source code, his work looks very valueable.
After almost 2 years of owning a Redmi 3s, I think we have finally reached a point of great quality. AOSP/GZOSP/LOS base + nichcream land sources + Difr kernel sources is the ultimate combination to use at this moment in my opinion.
Big thanks to @nichcream
Nice rom just installed.:good:
Will give you review after use of some time.
No bug found till now.
Really good ROM.
Thanks to nicecream battery backup and performance is very good. No any single bug. Pure stock rom.

Is it intended behavior that data transfer is only available in LTE? In 2G/3G web browser claims "net error no internet connection"
Edit: problem related to my carrier provider, not rom problem.
BTW cannot send/receive MMS. Anyone can confirm MMS working in this ROM?
I've been using this ROM for the last two days and the smoothness of it is amazing. No lags, no slowdowns, everything working as expected. Battery backup seems normal, although I'd need to review it in a few days.
I hope this becomes official.

I guess, for this rom becoming official it has to be treble first and fulfills all of the lineageos's rules to be a official rom!
I don't see what Treble has to do with it becoming official or not. But it's true that the rules are very strict and difficult to comply with. In any case there's no guarantee the developer even wants to apply for the official tag anyway.
As long as it's maintained and updated, it's going to be my ROM of choice.

MMS doesn´t work on this build. Although @Manzing managed to get MMS running on ritesh´s sources (official RR, Nitrogen, CrDroid official) I never got it running on any Oreo rom; even if I use exactly the same apn´s like I do in Nougat where it´s working. So until now, there´s no fully working MMS for Oreo!

I found no bugs or crashes in it. Everything works fine including voLTE. But with stock kernel, the ROM is somewhat laggy and app loading time is longer. It is usable but with stuttering throughout the system. But with Dragon elite kernel, the phone is reasonably smooth and app loading times are noticeably faster. I think that it may be better if you bundle the ROM with PBH kernel or DE kernel instead of stock. People who want to be updated with latest security patches should consider this ROM. Thanks again for this ROM.
