I've been researching about what would be the best android tv box to buy in terms of availability, affordable price, support, etc. I've come down to Amlogic S812, 2gb/8gb boxes below $70 usd. I'm thinking about either these:
1. MXIII-G from Gearbest Currenly $63.99

2. Tronsmart MXIII Plus from Geekbuying Currently $69.99
3. M8S+ from Aliexpress Currently $56.23
Pretty much all has same specs of Amlogic S812 cpu, 2gb ram/8gb rom, dual band 2.4g/5g b/g/n wifi, 1000m ethernet port.
Differences are: MXIII-G promise 5.1 Lollipop update in the near future but manual update (who knows when), Tronsmart probably has better support due to OTA updates but no mention of Lollipop update, both MXIII-G and Tronsmart has "EMMC" 8GB flash memory where the M8S+ has "Nand" 8GB flash...I read that EMMC > Nand , but M8S+ currently has update to Lollipop 5.1.
All ship from China, so what to get?!?
Based on your review and the specs I'd go for the mxiii

from geekbuying or gearbest?
I hardly watch TV, but my parents do every night. So, I decided to give them a present and bought an IPTV box on the SwitchOnShop. And I say, MAG324 is a great device, my parents are completely satisfied with it.

Might of of some use to a clever bod.

Not mine, honest.. reckon with his feedback you'd have to collect it though
Looks really fake:
Can't really get excited about MIDs (Mobile Internet Devices)? Same here, but that doesn't mean this leak of Dell's Streak isn't very intriguing and not just because the handheld looks pretty good. What you see below is based on Intel's new Pine Trail platform and boasts an Atom processor, a 5-inch (800x480) touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, WiFi, 3G, and Bluetooth connectivity, and a microSD card slot.
Dell's Streak MID is equipped with a 1,300mAh battery and is loaded with the Android 2.0 OS.
It has memory card of 16 GB .
Yeah im guessing its just someone whos got it wrong, its not exactly unknown on eBay. There is no reason Dell would have developed the streak with x86 because the software and hardware would have nothing to do with the final version!
he's using a 'found' image off internet magazines, use tineye.com to search the image

1. Never heard of tineye.. it's now my new favourite toy. Fantastic.
2. I will message the seller on $bay and inform him that he is nothing other than a donut puncher.
Cheers..
It's rumors that Chinese manufacturer Ulefone will update its old smartphone Ulefone be pro to become the new version, Ulefone be pro 2, and it will be powered with the new chipset.
In the old Ulefone be pro, it is a 5.5inch HD display with RAM 2GB, Android4.4 kitkat OS, powered by MTK6732 chipset, and it also can be updated to Android5.1 OS.
So how about this Ulefone Be Pro 2? Will it use the snapdragon chipest? And can it beat the Ulefone be touch 2?
Any one knows more details about it?

Some may have checked and tested dualboot firmware from SD card on Beelink devices with new Amlogic SoC. This type of dualboot is a good option if you don’t need SD card slot.
Ugoos showed their own dualboot firmware with Android and CoreElec packed together. A good option is the installation process is totally like standard firmware reflashing. For Ugoos AM6, X2 and X3 devices you can download standard Amlogic Burning Tool and special firmware.
After reflashing standard Android firmware with Launcher Three starts on my X2 device. The only difference noticed in it is power menu with “Restart to CoreELEC” button. If press it, device will restart andCoreELEC build will start loading.

Ugoos Team choose nightly build for this project dated by 23rd of January.
Since that moment every start of the device will proceed with CoreELEC build. If need go back to android, there is a button “Reboot from eMMC/NAND”.
Both settings and accounts in Android and CoreELEC builds save on the device. So basically it is possible to use two active systems without additional complicated actions.
Here is the original article with links on Ugoos Website
Do they have a version for EmuELEC instead of CoreELEC?
I have purchased the HK1 Box (S905X3) similar to the Super Console X Retro game system, and I'd like test it out..
Box seems "HS 9 PRO", not sold anywhere ... I was able to flash another firmware (In fact, 5-6 firmware "works" for those looking H6_4_32_20191114, X10puls, Tanix H6, Qplus H6) *BUT*
1) Wifi XR819 doesn't work (can live with that)
2) Remote doesn't work which is a pain for ON/OFF (mainly "ON" lol)
Supposed to be, Quad Core A53, Mali450 or Mali720 GPU... I used PhoenixProUSB to flash the images, as said, quite a few worked (I've been trying for 2 days zillions of IMG)
I would gladly put back the original firmware but I have no clue where to get it... Anybody know this box? Underneath, nothing relevant "STB model: HS_PVR_Pro_Dec_2020"
Here's the box (works with X10Plus firmware) and remote (that doesn't work). I can use a USB keyboard but can't turn ON the box.

Also, found out the remote is controlled by a chip "MT908" if I could do something with this, would still be happy (mainly for ON/OFF button lol) but I think it's just the chip and not related to the config of it :|. Anyway, any help is welcomed otherwise it's a bit useless my "4k pro" box
Looks like i'm out of luck :|
any idea on what the remote could be? I could at least use another firmware to enable the remote. Also, possible to install the wifi card in any way? I'm rooted but stock Android 9.0
