I'm not sure about stock but I recommend converting V4A to a system app. You also want to make sure the edits in the build.prop are done. You can also try making SELinux permissive by using the app SELinuxModeChanger which can be found on Fdroid.

[Q] Able to flash ViPER4Android?

I was just wondering if I would be able to flash ViPER4Android on the stock Rom slot using Safestrap 3.75 A03
Just checking because I'm about 75% sure you can't flash zip files to the stock slot in safestrap
Better be safe than sorry
I'm running NC5 if that makes a difference
Thanks in advanced!

As long as you have root, you should be able to install it, you don't have to flash any zip files.

There is an unofficial Xposed for samsung touchwiz 5.0 here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3113463
I've read where lots of people are using it and they've had a great experience using it of course you need to be running a deodex version of the stock ROM there is one here http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/development/rom-t3132662
Of course backup backup backup!!
I hope that helps, good luck!!

I just found this. I haven't tried it yet on my n3, 5.0. If all goes well, I'll report back. If it doesn't go well, probably won't report back.
Works great!

That ROM is very old, you should upgrade to EclipticRez or something newer (most JB based ROMs work well)... If you are stuck on that, my guess you will need to find an Xposed flashable ZIP that you can flash via recovery, or possibly try updating SuperSU/SuperUser (I don't remember what Hawknest uses) and try the install from the app.
Why do you need Xposed on a custom ROM, it is intended for stock ROMs?

I'm on eclipticrez v9 which is the latest I could find, some apps I use need xposed.
I updated supersu and root, but I think it's just the Rom.
Where might I find a flashable xposed?

Google... I haven't used Xposed in years, sorry, can't be of much help there, just make sure it's specifically for ICS, and you can only use certain modules compatible with ICS, not all will work.

Snapchat stopped working cause of Root....

So guides online for other phones say that you have to uninstall xposed and reinstall it. The problem is I didn't install xposed. It came with the Jasmine 6.1 from the droidyemen team. How do I install it?
Lollipop 5.0 OF1
1 Click Super SU root from androidyemen
Jasmine 6.1 rom
Verizon Note 3
I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Question: How do I make backup if I don't have any TWRP or Cynogen Mod? Bootloaders are locked on Verizon Note 3. Also there are no instructions... very confusing for new rooter.
Flashfire app but still if you get in trouble it wouldn't be available to restore the backup..there might be more to it but I'm not sure..now that there is root you could just go back to stock with odin

I don't know how to use flashfire... Everything I've done how to do was by watching Youtube videos...
If you use titanium back up on the stock rooted firmware and back up data then when you flash jasmine and just restore the data it will work again. That's what I did and works perfectly

Could you give me a step by step? I boot looped my phone last week by trying to download TWRP because none of the guides told me that. I'm also very new to rooting. All I do is follow YouTube videos on how to do things.

If you were on stock rom or jasmine. On jasmine you need to get the xposed Uninstaller flash it in flashfire, run snapchat cause it will work after xposed is not shown in the "framework" then use titanium backup to back up the app and data, flash the xposed installer then it should stay logged in, if not you got titanium backup again and just restore "data" of the snapchat and it will be logged in. I backed mine up from the stock rooted firmware/ROM.

That's what I've been told. That's not what I did myself, I was on the stock rom before I flashed jasmine when I did the back up. Yes, titanium backup. Install app then restore "data" and good to go

Yup, my phone came on lollipop, i used it to root and had no issues. Flashing custom recovery trips Knox so you'll be fine

Positive, Knox is only tripped when installing custom recovery via Odin or an app, also using cf-autoroot via Odin will trip Knox too.

Thanks :good: already rooted my phone my problem now is that I cannot install V4A. I already installed busybox and selinuxmodechanger to set it to permissive, why is it that the driver is not installed?

After King Root, use Super Su Me to remove King root with its slightly alarming permissions and replace with Super SU - worth the small price.

I successfully rooted my A3 (A300FU) with KingRoot then removed and replaced to SuperSU with this method: http://zidroid.com/how-to-get-ride-and-replace-kinguser-with-supersu-app/
We need to slightly modify the script due to different mount points, but after SuperSU installs and updates flawlessly. And the best of it: phone keeps rooted after reboot, and KNOX isn't affected. (0x0)

If you flashed a custom recovery before, then your KNOX is already tripped. If you haven't I suggest to reflash a stock rom from samsung-updates.com or sammobile.com with ODIN. Anyway I dont know if it's possible to apply zip updates via stock recovery, I haven't tried it yet.

Found a way! Using flashfire
I have used Kingroot on my A3 (SM-A300FU) and KNOX flag is 0. If you don't trust on Kinroot (like me) you can remove then.
I have used the second method and works fine: https://www.droidmen.com/remove-replace-kingroot-kinguser-with-supersu
