Hello everyone,
First time poster hoping experts may be able to help.
I have Galaxy S II phone and Galaxy Tab 4 7". I want to hook them up via wi-fi direct. I go through all the steps, connect them, but 2 seconds after connection is established they simply disconnect and start scanning again. No matter which device initiates the connection, or whether there is or isn't wifi AP in range, the result is the same. I've tried deleting WiFi Direct cache and also wipe cache partition but to no avail.
Can anyone suggest any solutions? It's strange that a basic feature of devices of the same manufacturer doesn't work.
The Galaxy Tab 4 is: 4.4.2
The Galaxy S II is: 4.1.2
Thanks in advance!
T.

Hii,
Yesterday i was uploading a video to whatsapp my wifi stopped. when i try to reconnect it it connects but no internet access. i ve two laptops
one i am using to create a hotspot using a usb dongle and provide wifi for my phone and my second laptop at the same time. It was working fine
for over 6 months and suddenly the problem showed up. i am running the latest 4.3 on my device; wifi on 4.3 was working as charm since the
update 10 days ago. Following are the fixes I tried and failed
1. restart the phone couple of times
2. restored the phone to 4.2.2 (i had backup)
3. used wifi fixer and wifi manager app
4. factory reset the phone
5. disabled power saving in service mode (*#0011#)
6. used static ip instead of DHCP (although i dont know what i was doing.. i looked up a thread and followed their steps)
7. try pinging ( no response from the server)
GUYS PLEASE HELP!!!! :crying::crying:
You are posting in the wrong forum .
Suggest you wipe phone and flash stock rom but read the faqs and guides first .
Since I download a app for a GPS, my wifi have this problem,
saved/secured, it has high signal, unfortunately, it's only connected to wifi/net only when the range of my phone is like 1 inch or two.
anyone can help? pleaseeee
Reflash your firmware, try without a wipe first.

I've found a solution for a mobile data problem with CM13
NOTE:
if you forgot to backup your efc folder and if you have the same problem as me (look at link) this is what u have to do.
U need one phone and use it as hotspot, the galaxy s3 needs to connect with the mobile hotspot and when the galaxy s3 is connected to the hotspot must go to the wwb so some websites and then the phone who has the hotspot enabled needs to shutdown the hotspot while the galaxy s3 is still connected then the galaxy s3 must connect to the internet by itself.
This worked for me, i've restarted the galaxy s3 and i've shutdown the galaxy s3 and i still have the connectivity i hope this help you guys out!
After updated to latest nightly im facing no vibration issue
Would recommend full wipe and Install. I think this might help.
Hit thanks if I helped.
Hi everyone.
I have not been using my Mi Pad 1 for quite some time now. Recently, my brother installed an app that allows him to disable other users from connecting into the wifi. He stopped using the tablet because the wifi detects the network but does not connect (stuck with "saved"). I tried removing the SD card and restoring factory settings but still did not work. I also tried connecting it to a different ISP but it didn't work. All other devices are connecting to the home wifi with no problems.
I flashed the tablet with CWM and cyanogenmod 11 on both systems 1 and 2. Same thing. I was detecting Wifi but not able to connect.
I have also tried modifying the router settings as usually suggested by other users. Still not connected.
I also tried renaming WPA_supplicant.conf to WPA_supplicant.bak - it did not work as well
I have tried draining the battery completely and charging it again until 100% charged. Righty now, the tablet wifi is stuck on "turning on" status.
This is actually my first time doing a root, custom recovery and custom ROM install. I am really impressed by the guides posted here in XDA. I really hope there's still a solution to my problem.
Thanks for all the help!
*******I don't think it is a hardware issue because the tablet still detects available networks and is able to connect to bluetooth devices.
Hello.. Did you fix your issue?
Hi!
I hope I haven't missed an already existing thread, but I hope, I can get help here
I just got my S7Plus tablet, but somehow the WiFi doesn't work correctly as it sometimes sees networks, sometimes it doesn't...
It really seems very random
It sees (and connects) to my home-Wifi (2,4Ghz)
It doesn't see my parents's WiFi (2,4Ghz)
It sees my Hotspot-Wifi (Samsung Galaxy Note 10Plus) only on 5Ghz
When using Auto-Connect in Hotspot-options, it sees it (only under "Autoconnect") but can't connect
I tried:
- reset network settings
- erase known networks
- restart
- clean cache partition
- started in safe mode
- factory reset
But to no avail, nothing changed...
Does anyone have an idea, what to do?
