I have a verizon s4 on 4.4.2 with NK1
I lives outside the USA. So verizon ota update always shows UPDATE TEMPORARILY UNAVIALBE error. It is fully stocked. I never rooted it. So i decided to update manually. I googled it and found a way to update it
http://www.droidviews.com/install-lollipop-on-verizon-galaxy-s4-and-keep-root/
I am following 1st method. I flashed 1st file and now i am on NK4. But for precaution before flashing 2nd file i Googled it and found that 2nd file never install by any user. So what to do now.. Can anyone guide me to update from nk4 to oc1 lollipop
Plz
I had the same problem and same error message on my Verizon S4. All I had to do was connect my phone to my PC and click "connect as installer" from the slide down menu of the status bar on my phone. Then on my PC, I got a pop-up asking if I wanted to install "Verizon Update Assistant". I did that and it prompted me to update to 5.0.1 via the computer. Wierd, I know, but this is how Verizon decided to so it for some models.

Hey, don't do OC1 unless you still have Verizon.
Also, people have been reported bad connections as well.

I recently rooted my phone and upgraded to leaked official ics. I prefer gingerbread and looking to go back. When using Odin to return me to stock, i get to the initial setup where i touch the android bot and it wont work due to force closing.
Is there anyway I can successfully go back to the 2.3.6? I have searched the threads but can't find anything that actually works. Please help.
Btw. upgrading to ics, I lost root.
All the help i have gotten thus far hasn't worked at all.. does anyone really know how to fix this?

After that go into 3e recovery (3 finger salute) and do factory reset.
Put your flame suit on.

Follow the instructions on this thread. It will install the official ICS unrooted from AT&T. Shutdown and pull out your battery to find your S/N number listed on your phone and write it down. The model is AT&T I717 when asked. Skip the part in 4 (a) when told to pull out the battery and continue with instructions. Here are the instructions;

Hi,
On my old Samsung Ace Plus phone running an older Android version v2.x, I used to read/save contacts directly to google (shown below in picture) because I simply don't wanna save on phone or sim card. For some reason, I didn't find this option on my LG G2 international version thinking that this feature have been removed for some reason from KK4.4.2 which I'm running so I missed it a lot but there was nothing to do about it since I didn't find it also on e.g. Samsung S4 running KK which kinda confirmed to me that it's a KK thing and not mobile dependent.
Is there any one who have seen this feature back on Android L which I'm waiting for, officially, in early 2015?

it's not persistent! I tried it millions of times before but for some mysterious reason, I have to go through the whole boring process of choosing where to save my contact every time I create a new contact!
Tried this?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fjsoft.mylocalaccount
When you create a contact in AOSP 4.4.x it will state "Phone" (local phone account, unsynced) and "Google" as destinations for saving contacts.

Iv tried to root my my sprint lg g3 running stock 5.0. 1 many times. Using the one click root v1.2 v1.3. They both never root. Each time I have to manually put the phone in download mode. Then the script says found phone. Rooting. And stays there. Is there another method? Any YouTube videos? Iv searched and seems to be the 5.0.1 version is patched to the one click method? Thank you

This is what I'm getting. It will stay on rooting phone. When when I finally unplug it, it will state the rest. It never roots.

Seems like the latest version is 1.3. You may have to wait for newer version or downgrade back to zv4 to use Stump root.

Yeah 1.3 still didn't work. Anyone else having issues with this?

Hi guys, I also am having issues rooting 5.0.1 LGL990 I have tried every method for the LG G3 besides Stump root. Every method will get me to 90% or I can get to the Download software screen and then nothing happens. It is very frustrating
EDIT: Hey guys, I found the fix! I just did some searching in the forums and this is the fix for ZVA Lgg3!

just follow that one click script!
I'm trying to put my nephews XT1526 back to stock, were hoping to get it activated next month so we can give it to my dad for Father's Day. I have the Stock ROM on it and its not rooted, I also found the stock recovery and flashed it.
I've been trying to download and install the latest OTA for it but it just keeps failing. I've attached a pic below of the log which shows the error. I read through the log and found out that its a checksum mismatch of /modem/image/cmnlib.b01 (I think?).
I tried flashing the modem for stock 5.1 that I got from here but it didn't help. Does anyone know how to fix it so we can start receiving OTA updates? It has me a bit confused.
This phone had CM13 on it before I flashed it back to stock.
Thanks!

UPDATE: I'm sorry, but I did forget to mention that after I put stock ROM back on the phone, it asked me to uninstall the Motorola modem firmware or something and revert it back to a previous version. I let it do it. Was that a bad thing? I didn't see any other way around that message.
Also, I did get the title of this thread wrong, its supposed to say Unable to install, not flash. My mistake.

UPDATE 2: Never mind, I fixed it. I flashed everything back to pure stock via fastboot and relocked the bootloader. Everything is working perfect now.
A Mod can lock this now. I'm done.
