Hi,
Believe me - I tried all the things I found searching the web - this is my last resort..
I have Jiayu S2 Advanced 2/32GB, It stopped detecting SIM cards after system update.
Original Adroid was in version 4.4.2,
After this happened I tried to change ROM with the ones available on needroom portal, as well as Jiayu website and Jiayu.es
Tried to upload ROM with SPflash and CWMRecovery - I went through different 4.4.2 version and 4.2.2 - everytime ROMs were working fine, but SIM cards are not detected.
At the same time I observed that all 4.4.2 Android version did not even notify about SIM cards missing - only 4.2.2 did it.
IMEI address is correct (the same for both SIM cards) - tried to overwrite it anyway with the same numbers - but still the same...
I'm not an expert, but I think radio file is included in ROM package when flashing with SPflash? If not - where can I get it and how to upload it to the phone? Any other ideas?
Attached screenshots from system set up and Mobileuncle Tools - on the SIM 1 I see some signal strength changing and Radio is ON, no matter if card is in or not - status of those doesn't change if I put SIM card in.
ONE MORE THING!! Just found out - when telephone starts up there's standard info 'Slot 1: No SIM card detected, Please check if SIM card is ready' and the same message for SIM2, but when I clear messages and then on working phone I take out SIM card from Slot 1 and put it back 1 second later I get the same message again 'Slot 1: No SIM card detected, Please check if SIM card is ready' - this make me believe that SIM actually is detected, but somehow not recognized! The same thing happens if I "play" with Slot 2. Please help!!
Did you manage to fix it? I am having trouble myself; The SIM cards are detected, but cannot connect to the network. The IMEI was blank after a couple of ROM flashes, but I have restored it. Still, no luck... Probably the efs folder or something like that is corrupted, but I have no backup.
Same issue in Jiayu S2

Hello,
I have a problem with my chinese phone, (NO.1 9400, MTK6577) and the SIM card. I did a full erase, a WIPE data, and when the phone restart don't recognise the SIM card, in the status bar appear: "No sim card detected". Also appear a message of IMEI invalid, but I can view the IMEIS with *#06#.
I searched in a lot of web pages, but I can't solve the problem. I root the phone with FRAMAROOT.APK, I installed de CWM recovery and reinstall the oficial ROM with the recovery ( the files are here: http://www.needrom.com/mobile/no-1-s4/ ), but this don't works for me. The phone continue without detect the SIM card.
Also try to change the IMEI with the engineer mode, but show: "fail to send the comand".
Anyone can help me?
Thanks!!, and sorry by my bad english.
Gentlemen, I have a pretty strange problem when it comes to the SIM card in your phone. After installing the ROM - Dirty Unicorns - SIM card I fell as if burned. I checked on various Roma to no avail. None at all read the SIM card in the phone. But after installing the software orginalnego Samsung Sim card work jakgdyby nothing had happened. But as soon as I do root your phone card disappears again. I'm sorry for the mistakes I use Google Translate to communicate with you
Available networks of sim 1 shows only sim2's connected network in Redmi note 3 SD.
I was on Beta Rom(miui) when I got this issue and thought it was because of beta rom (miui 8.2.3) but then after factory reset and downgrading to stable miui rom, I'm still getting this issue.
Current Rom : MIUI stable 9.5.6.0, Stable
Some Redmi note 3 pro use the same IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 and your sim provider can lock it.
Equally you can try install 9.5.6 again with fastboot or EDL mode...
Change IMEI 1 or 2 with QPST or with imei changer tool (see in the forum).
If you use 1 chip, work fine? (In sim1 and sim2 slot)
What do you try to solve it?
When placing, ( let's say I have 2 sim cards A and B
1. Single sim card (A or B) in sim slot 1, No service and in maual search it says 'Cannot find any networks'
2. The same sim card in sim slot 2, then I am getting signals with either modes (auto/manual search)
3. In case of placing 2 sim cards, the sim card (let's say A) placed in slot 2 is working fine but now for the sim card (B) placed in slot one shows only the network A in available networks for sim slot 1.
Another note: I was on Beta Rom(miui) when I got this issue and thought it was because of beta rom but then after factory reset and downgrading to stable miui rom, I'm still getting this issue.

Do you instal stable rom with recovery or fastboot? i recommend fastboot or EDL... with this ways you FORMAT partitions not only wipe. its more clean.
if you go to
settings>system>about of device>state>IMEI Information
do you have good imei in both slots? (in my case is the same imei but in other devices is different)
if you upload a screenshot delete numbers to prevent spoofing or cloned imei.
I downgraded using fastboot rom,
When checked IMEI numbers they were different for both slots.

i dont know.
try to blow the slot (like a Sega or Ninendo Games) and try again.
are you open your phone ever?
I dont have more ideas... QPST work fine to restore and change IMEI but your imei is good. IDK
Thanks for your suggestions!
Hlo...I am having HTC Desire dual sim I was trying to add the "phone" apk to make it look like material designed so I changed it in the system partition but when I reboot my device I noticed that the app that I changed is only for single sim variant and then I replaced my old APK back but when I again restarted the phone I came to a problem that my both SIM were not working. then I factory reset my phone and after that only sim 1 is working and when I try to put SIM card in sim 2 it shows no sim... But when i take it out... It shows me the message says please insert the sim 2 properly which means the hardware is working fine... Any help would be appreciated...
Zte nubia z9 (NX508j) on latest stock rom NX508J-update_5.02 SIM 2 slot not working.
Gonna call the sims RED and GREEN , both work if inserted in slot 1 , but when combined, only slot 1 will work and slot 2 will have an empty NETWORK LIST (no plmn list) whereas sim 1 has. When I try a network search it comes up "nothing found" and the sim is visible when activated, shows number of the sim and even the contact list on it, it just doesn t register on the network.
Now thinking this list is EMPTY on sim slot 2 (plmn) and plenty of those in 'pref network list' on slot 1 , is there a file somewhere in a folder I need to copy/edit to add the network list to slot 2 ? Or is something else wrong ? And it s only slot 2, so RED ok GREEN dead, or switched GREEN ok, RED dead..... well no network. Both set on 2G or mobile data off. Does not change anything . The list of networks still empty on sim slot 2.
All help appreciated. Device is rooted Twrp installed.
Kind regards and a happy new year

3 years later, got this smartphone from the attic and I can see this forum is rather dead.
Cheers
And also both sims are recognised and phone already reads the sim numbers from both cards... just 2nd slot no signal .. switching the cards keeps saying slot2 no signal... simcard detected but no signal.
