I am pretty sure you can not change the modem. I read most all the threads in here and I am fairly certain I've read where a few people have tried it and it didn't work. Meaning they were able to change the modem and then had no signal or anything.
In the past the modem and firmware were not linked, it seems that they are now.

Hi
I need stock rom, Three (3) Sweden.
I would like to downgrade but I don't think you can do that from 4.3 right?
Found a link to one version but link was broken.
Problem is that I removed the provider lock a long time ago. But for some reason it came back when I upgraded to 4.3.
Then I bought a sim unlock code from my provider but that won't work now. Probably cause the stock rom I use now is international.
Any tips?

You need to quote the original poster not me.
Also don't go giving the post when you don't understand it.
Read up on pit files and why they are a last resort. Theres a reason its called rescue or emergency firmware. Only used when the phone is soft bricked and all else has failed.

Thanks. Yes it's Tre. But as I understand it I will brick my phone if I try to downgrade from 4.3 so I'll probably just stick to 4.3 unless you know something I don't?
Anyhow, I think I will have to have the shop fix it. I managed to find the stock rom now and reflashed it but the unlock code I got from them still don't work. So I don't see any other option, I need to have it unlocked and I allready paid for it.
Thanks anyhow.

I can't use that one. It's pre-rooted and for Korean. I am swedish.
And I agree, thanks for trying to help but if you don't really know how it's best you don't try at all.
I recently upgraded to 5.1.1 on Telus and now I am having the network connectivity issues that have been reported on other threads. Specifically, when I am on WiFi and have LTE enabled, all phone calls go directly to voicemail when someone tries to call. If I turn of LTE it seems to work fine.
I am assuming it's an issue with LTE and 5.1.1 so just wondering if anyone knows of a way to downgrade to 5.0.2
Have you tried disabling VoLTE?
I also read that flashing OG2 modem helps a lot.
But no, you can't go back...how did you upgrade ? OTA or Odin?

Telus doesn't support VoLTE so there's no option to disable it.
I updated using Odin.
Do you have a link off hand of users flashing the OG2 modem to solve this issue?
I think I found the thread but I just have a question. I'm new to this so I apologize. Is it possible to flash just a modem on stock 5.1.1 without rooting the phone?

Would you mind posting the steps you took to downgrade from 5.1.1 to 5.0.2?

Hey guys, I have been tring to fix this for awhile now and I nust can't seem to find an answer.
I am running viper venom 6.1 on 5.0.2 and since the upgrade from the 4.x.x to the 5.0.2 wifi password won't be saved for over 24hours, meaning I have to re-enter passwords to networks that I was already connected to every 10 to 24 hours.
Please help me find a solution.
Did you update your firmware when updating from KK to LP?
If not, the firmware mismatch (KK firmware with LP ROM) can cause a number of WiFi issues.

Hey I'm really sorry about opening another post it just seemed to me that this one is not so active (it doesn't make it right,I know)
Is venom runs on LP? Where can I find the firmware that is on ny phone now? I am rooted so I can change it if needed. Thanks for helping

Current Viper is Lollipop, yes. And you stated Android 5.0.2, and 5.0.x is by definition Lollipop.

Using the command: adb getvar all
Then look what it says under "main version"
Alternately, you can post the hboot number and radio number listed on bootloader screen.

Being rooted or not does not affect your ability to update your firmware.
By "firmware" I am referring to a number of partitions (but does not refer to the ROM) that need to get updated when moving to newer builds (such as KK to LP). Those partitions include hboot, radio, Bluetooth, WiFi and others. Its the change to the WiFi module that often causes folks issues if they fail to update to the proper firmware when flashing a custom ROM.
If you were on KK when you unlocked the bootloader, than never did an RUU or OTA to LP (or alternately obtained s-off and manually flashed the firmware), then you have old (wrong) firmware.
Hello,
A few month ago i received a s5 g900t from an uncle but it isn't compatible with my actual carrier, is it possible to change the software to the international one?

The way I understand it is that each variant of the S5 has specific bootloaders and modems. However, the ROMs can be used from different versions.
Check out this forum for more info on the international ROMs that are available: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5

There is lots of stuff at that link, and before I would flash another phone's software to my phone, I would do lots of reading. It's what I did before I did any flashing to any of my phones.
I don't believe you can use a BL and modem from a phone that IS NOT a 900T to a 900T. However, you can try it. I would do a full NAND backup using TWRP or CWM or something before I would try to use firmware from another mode.
I have a 900T3 - and flashing the 900T firmware caused a bootloop on my phone. However, flashing the 900T3 fixed it.
However, hopefully someone here - or on that other forum - may have more knowledge.
There should be no problem flashing just the ROM, but firmware is made up of a partition table, bootloader, modems and the ROM.

i already did that but nothing happen , and everytime i was stucked on a bootloop i flash again the 6.0.1 rom in order to remove the bootloop
Have you tried a Rom with same number in it as original (file name 9th position states "2' or "3", etc and probably is the same as the error device number)?

Well that's not true, i did it last week, so perfectly possible (not when you have locked bootloader). But you have to use the correct stock firmware version...

You can only downgrade if you have unlocked bootloader and your fw is 3xxxx or lower... (the first few mm builds)

Well i personally haven't managed to downgrade my device and im on 3xxx. There are few reports on here that once you flash 4xxx you cannot go back. Infact im yet to find somebody who has succesfully downgraded on here.

Yeah i've read those posts too. But as i also almost gave up on downgrading from 3xxx because it was mentioned here a lot it couldn't be done while this was not true, i'm not taking that as 100% true anymore...
