Only way to flash from SD is when flashing a ROM dumped directly from the phone as a backup.. even then you needed USB to let your PC tell your Device to dump the backup to SD.. The dump data on the SD card cannot be read as files because its RAW data.. There is no way to extract that data to a ROM file and likewise no way to flash a ROM file available here or anywhere to the device through the SD card..
So in theory.. if you had 2 HTC Prophets you might be able to flash the 1 device through USB, Dump the ROM to SD and use that SD card to flash the 2nd device.. This is only in theory! Never tried it..
Curiously though.. if your USB port is damaged how do you charge it?

I have a problem with my Sola when I plug it into the computer I can see the internal storage but not the SD card. I tried all the connectivity setting and I installed PC Compagnon.
I read on sony forum that driver on PC could be the cause, but I don't know wich one to install...

I'm using cm-7.2.0-coconut on my xperia live. Whenever I want to connect phone with pc via usb storage, it's keep restarting... I've turn off-on usb debugging, mount-unmount but no solution. So please help me, I'm in great trouble. I don't want to flash newly. Plz Xdians help me, thanks in advance.
You have moved system apps to SD card, that's why the errors. So,move the system apps(themes....) to system from sd card and your problem will surely solved.

After installing samflare v 6 with S5 UI
I tried us troubleshooter it recognizes and even USB otg helper do recognizes but not able tomount usb as storage please help

hey hi buddy,
pls check whether your USB is in FAT32 format or NTFS, it happened with me also, i wasn't able to use NTFS format, then i used FAT32 and otg worked. pls check this, may be it will work for u also.

Try installing Stickmount from the Play store and mounting it again, if it still fails, possibilities are that your OTG cable is faulty
(had the same problem once, turned out my cable was poor quality)

I works in root explorer but whenever i try to mount from any like usb otg mount or stickmount it doesnt says no permissions n i tried to change the permission from root explorer as the permissions there it shows "O-root" so i changed but dont get chnged even after given superuser permission.
So help plss....

Hi guys, ell, i got the sgp611 model, and when i plug my usb with the otg, the apps with files in the sd card does seem to work, and i starts to fail until i reboot it. Does anyone have this problem? :c
