What number in line are you? I am 580.478.... buh...
I don't remember exact, but it was around 9.600
I'm somewhere in 3 38 000... lol. Hopefully some one will share a invitation with me
190k ish for me ^.^ hopefully I get an invite as well - but I'm not too worried about waiting a short amount of time. The specs and pricing of the phone are absolutely amazing really.
54 Only ...
like 49000
80K
But I'm having some doubts about the lack of NFC and quick charge. OP2? Moto X? Nexus #? Who knows?
Well im at 16,814
I'm 41000.but I'm member 8722 on the forum
Started at 42k, now I'm 75k.
I started it at about 112000 & I'm at 119000 now. The invite system is the worse. Allowing people to move via spamming is downright wrong imo.

i'm 117'418 but that does not matter at all. there is a wide spread misunderstanding that invites will be sent out in ascending order according to that list while in reality it's only the secondary list. the primary list is about early adopters and supporters of the OPO and if you are amongst the OPO owners you will get your invite long before the first guy in that list will have it. but then, of course if you have an OPO and subscribe to the lest you will receive your invitation according to your position in the primary distribution list.
in short if you have a membership ID lower than 100'000 you will be amongst the first batch of receivers, even if you listing in that invite list is only number 500'000, does not matter, it's overvalued.
Prime example of what's wrong with this "invite" system, started at 50,000 now at 99,980. Just is becoming more of a turn off and a reason not to support the company in my opinion.
I think this invite system is just a farce, if your going to sell the phone, just let everyone buy it when they want. At this rate it will take someone forever to get one lol
Unfortunately I completely agree. I would rather much like the phone, but this is utter crap...

Hey everyone,
I'm working as a CampusRep for ASUS Computers at Cornell University and was hoping you could all help me out.
ASUS Holiday Contest
You can enter to win TWO Transformer Primes
Here is the link http://www.facebook.com/AsusCornell?sk=app_250581868336547. The winner will win TWO Transformer Primes and TWO Keyboard Docks. All you have to do is like the Facebook page and fill out the contest entry form.
As an added bonus (for me) If you get my page to 1000 likes before the other competing pages, I get a Transformer Prime too!
I'll need your help and reshares so that we can win.
PLUS if I get those 1000 likes I'll also give away my Original Asus Transformer w/ Keyboard Dock and Sleeve!
THAT'S THREE TRANSFORMERS!

I know there are a lot of people on this forum so I would really appreciate all your help.
Thanks,

UPDATE (12/5/11):
Just to update everyone, another rep already reached 1000+ likes on his Asus Campus page meaning that the deal for my OG Transformer + Dock + Sleeve is off the table...
BUT!
If I am in the top 3 reps with the most entries in the contest I will get a minor incentive AND if I am in the top 6 reps with the most new Facebook likes between December 1-15 then I will get another minor incentive.
What this means is that I want to give back for those helping me. Here are the possible gift scenarios.
If I get both of these goals then I will still honor my Kindle Fire giveaway to one member of XDA.
If I reach the first goal (top 3 reps with most entries) only then I will giveaway some other prize TBD.
If I reach the second goal (top 6 reps with most new likes) only then I will giveaway a Wintech 16GB Class 10 microSD card.
All prizes will include Asus swag bag with two t-shirts, pens, and a Lamborghini 2GB Flash Drive.
Thanks again for all those who have helped and please go to AsusCornell to enter to win a TF Prime for you and someone of your choosing!

Dangit... Cant enter until I turn 18 in 5 days.
Seeing a great increase in the number of "likes" almost to the point where I'm thinking of adding another prize. I have a BNIB Kindle Fire that I'm thinking of throwing in for an XDA member if my page gets to 1000 likes first.
I need everyone's help though.
1.) How will I know if the person that "liked" the page is Ann XDA member?
2.) How will the winner be chosen?
Feedback its important.

I will probably enter the contest as well.
However to answer your questions.
How will you know if they are an XDA member, simple, upon deciding the winner you ask them if they are.
If they are and have an existing account then great, they win the extra prizes, this way no one can accuse you of fudging the winner to make sure it is an XDA member.
If they are not a member of they created the account after you ask them then they do not get the extra prizes, make sure that it is clear that they must be an existing XDA member.
As for how to choose the winner, that is rather easy as well.
After all of the likes and contest entries are in, use any of the random number generators available out there and set it to choose from 1 to whatever number of entries there is, run it 3 times, then use the mean or median to find the winner.
Or even better...make it someone who comments on this thread. (There have to be some sort of rules against this on XDA...)
if you want 1000 likes. i'll get you 1000 likes.

Well I was thinking that there would be two different winners. One winner (Original Transformer) out of all the "likes" on my page and then the other winner (Kindle Fire) would be out of the "likes" from XDA members. Additionally, XDA members will still be eligible gor the Original Transformer.
As for the second question it could be a random generator for the Transformer prize and maybe the same for the Kindle Fire. Or maybe choose from those people who post on this thread (and the one in the General section of the original Transformer) as another member mentioned.
So keep the "likes" coming and please share and repost so others can see. Remember, the extra prizes from me (i.e. Original Transformer and Kindle Fire will only be given away if my page reached 1000 likes first. The two Transformer Primes are randomly chosen regardless of likes though, just fill the entry form.
Thanks again for helping me out.

Excellent! I'll do what I can to increase the number of 'Like's you have.
Headed out on vacation for the next week, so had to make a decision before my 30 day window was up.
Basically, I went with a larger screen for media related reasons (video, images etc), and the black-crush issue became a deal breaker for now. I think I'll sit on my crappy old iphone 3g for another month or so and revisit the Note or perhaps the the HTC onex. Hopefully the note will see ICS before too long and it'll fix some of the graphics issue i've been noticing.
That being said, I've got a couple cases that I will no longer need, they can be viewed in my review post of them in the review section. If you'd like them let me know...i'd accept cost of shipping plus beer money

I thought the same thing when I saw this. That would be a trend I'd never support. Batteries get weaker with time and it would be very inconvenient to send it off to be replaced. I hope this is just a rumor.

OP & XDA Members:
I don't know if you'd even consider an unsubsidized device. But if you would, the international Note (GT-N7000) is a big improvement over the AT&T Note. This is an educated personal testimony, as I have owned both devices. As for battery issues (and this applies to both the N7000 & the I717), 99% of the issues I've encountered have been caused by software. Google Maps, certain kernels, and certain root-enabled apps can cause perpetual, long-lasting wakelocks when the device should be in deep sleep. This seriously impacts battery life. However, once these issues are addressed, the Note finds it's battery life on par with the iPhone 4 & iPhone 4S.
I'm not trying to get into an Exynos versus Snapdragon debate. I'm simply making observations about the two devices' respective benchmark results, and their real-world everyday performance. Whether these differences are a result of the change in SoC, or something else entirely, is a discussion best had in another thread. For the purposes of this thread though, the international Note would serve you much better, and offers a much larger development community (for the moment; anything can change).
As far as the One X is concerned, it's another prime example of AT&T neutering a device to ensure LTE compatibility. If you think this is an acceptable trade-off because the altered device allows you to connect to AT&T's LTE network, consider this. AT&T doesn't care if you get 40Mbps or 1Mbps downstream. Their goal is to get devices off of their congested HSPA(+) network and onto their LTE network. In the process, they can tout it as a major upgrade designed to give YOU better service. The truth is that this "upgrade" wasn't a decision made to compete with big red; it was a necessary move to relieve the stress on their HSPA(+) network before it collapsed.
So, next time you go shopping for a phone to use with good ole' Ma Bell, consider what the device can do for YOU... not them.
Thank you,
Ed

No one phone is perfect, I hace owned more than 20 phones In the past few years and every phone I have had all have had drawbacks. What would be the incentive for a carrier to put out a perfect device when they rely on the revenue from phone sales? And everyone is different so everyone has there on perception of what perfect is. Me I couldnt have an Iphone as my daily driver because for one the screen is too tiny and two the iphone makes simple things much harder like creating a ringtone. But what I like about the Iphone is the many apps it has that Andriod still doesnt like Family fued.

Good post. I own both and am keeping both. They have different strengths, one is updates and unlocked the other get access to the LTE network which is excellent in the area where I live. One other thing is you get 5GB on the LTE unlimited plan for $30 opposed to 3GB on the HSPA plan before throttling. I have not seen any battery issues on either.
I really like the looks and specs of the HTC One XL but no SD crd and the battery thing bother me. I think it is 16GB or it 32GB internal memory? I just do not get that...Just my .02 cents.

Really? Do you even own one? Maybe you just don't know how to use it. My note works just fine with Gingerbread. It will probably be better with ICS, but it's not a joke without it. Considering the fact that we'll have ICS within the next few months, it's hardly a deal breaker even if you somehow can't stand to use the phone without the newest version of Android.
Please write Reviews to increase sales and hence possibility of better "Support"
There's no doubt that this is an excellent Android Superphone and we all love it. I thought it will really help if we write reviews of this phone on few of the website so that people considering this phone will be comfortable in buying it.
I started with the following websites and will do more as I find them:
> AT&T (http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/devices/lg/optimus-g-black.html#fbid=WWdQboRk1cO)
> Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/LG-Optimus-4G...8&qid=1353904051&sr=8-4&keywords=lg+optimus+g)
> Best Buy Mobile (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/LG+-+Op...322506&skuId=6929501&cp=1&lp=2&contract_desc=)
I will encourage you folks, whoever can spare few minutes to write reviews on the given websites and others. This will increase sales of this phone and will encourage LG to provide better support.
Have fun with LGOG

I am hoping too...I am assuming that Google will assist in this area (drivers and base) for the Nexus 4 that we can port over?
Eh, I posted a positive review on AT&T's website just to do it. I want to try and share the love! :good:
I will post some reviews tomorrow. I really love the speed of this phone and LG's UI is pretty good to go as far as manufacturers UIs go.
Yeah guys Once I decide to buy one (this vs. Nexus 4 for me right now, all about whether development picks up for this quickly) I will go crazy with reviews as well. This phone is far underrated.
I posted my review on all three sites, smart thread. It may help bring the phone's name out in the open a little more. Most of my friends have no idea what this phone is thanks to the terrible lack of advertising from LG and At&t
This is a good idea, but I'm still worried. I have the Canadian variant, and I held out to get it until I was sure it could be unlocked. But despite it being unlocked really quickly, and the beastly specs of the phone I'm surprised that there is still no further development. I'm remaining positive for the time being, and I'm keeping a close eye on all three LGOG forums. Doesn't help that there is already talk of the LGOG2 for the spring.

Normally i would agree but right now LG is in a position to reinvent their smartphone reputation. And them going with google(n4) and this ridiculously overpowered phone they could make it happen. But the word would need to be spread by people that they arent selling a **** product anymore. Since their rep is so bad a couple mainstream ****ty reviews could tank any chance they have. If they want to keep a steady increase of good reviews they will need to keep the devices well supported.
Just my 2c.

When will XDA members understand the fact that we as a community are just a small percentage of their sales and they have no need to listen to our demands.
As a matter of fact I'm willing to bet, us as a community have cost manufactures more money than any other groups or the casual consumer.
Bricking phone, OCD exchange after exchanges cause of minor imperfections.
I'm willing to bet manufactures actually hate us

How about the double tap to wake ? Next big thing? I think they got that from xda. Had that on my evo lte about 5 months ago. Lol
Sony's developer used to come to XDA and help the XDA developers with Kernels and helping them in building CM by providing them with necessary drivers for EXMOR sensor etc. They used to come to XDA and post the alpha version of the firmware and help them identify the problems. It would be great if other company follow the same.

I have been part of close, collaborative, manufacturer/consumer teamwork facilitated thru forums and online organizations before. The benefit to both parties is immense. Any company that would willingly forsake the opportunity to engage one-on-one with their most passionate and informed customers is fundamentally flawed.
That said, I can virtually guarantee a tech-centric company like LG has an entire department dedicated to data mining on the 'net.

Concessions accounts last for the term of your employment if your employer doesn't report it perhaps you can fly under the radar however if you have a dealer to report too or you talk to daily then yes they will catch on
I'm not CEO but I'll answer the best I can.

If you left the company and still have the concession line active, as long as you don't call through customer service to change features on it, hopefully they won't catch on and won't cut you off. Also, as long as the company doesn't do regularly audits to see whether or not who's with the company still or who left you should be good.
I can't say for all third party companies but that's how it usually works.
thanks for all the replies. i am legitimately on it. just got me thinking what if i switch jobs someday as i gave up my loyalty plan but loving the extra data now. cost winds up being about the same as i took 10gb of data.
So is there any point to this thread besides OP flaunting that he's a contractor of all carriers, opening the thread with unanswered questions? I'm just curious as well in terms of if he knew about the KitKat.
I'm a pipe layer ask me anything about laying pipe in all the tight crevasses
