Hi there, I'm just wondering why, even if I have adaway and the popup option activated, I have the browser full of freakin popups and windows asking me to download anti virus apps.
Is there any way to browse the damn internet without bein slapped in my face by all these things as I do on my desktop PC?

Use AdFree instead of AdAway. Second, use an alternative browser like Lightning or UltimateBrowserProject.
The app sections are for posting members apps. Not for questions of any kind.

Well, AdAway also requires root to work properly. Without root, no proper ad-blocking is possible. Give those browsers a try, I have never (at least by purpose) tried to play flash videos with them.

Anyone able to get something working where you can view and/or control your GT10.1 from your PC?

Debated about doing that. Being as this often does require root, I felt it may be fine here. If a mod wants to move it...feel free.
i am looking for application that can remote control my Android device(HTC desire) FROM my PC.
Control needs to be VNC style, so i can run apps on my desire from my pc(win7).
I have looked all around and found airdroid, but it doesn't have ability to execute any installed app on desire.

Coming from the S3 I am really missing the Quick Controls in the browser. Anyone else? Anyone know of a way/hack to re-enable them?

If you are rooted, you can install the root aosp browser from the play store. It has quick control.
Thanks, I tried it but can't get it to work. I'm running Hyperdrive Rom. I also tried to push the aosp browser to system app and change permissions but that failed.
Im not sure what default browser is on hyper, but maybe try removing that before installing root aosp browser? That's what I did and it is running great. The playstore download name I think is actually root aosp browser installer.

TERRARIUM TV ,hands down is the best app I've come across to watch Movies & TV Shows with. It has Trakt.Tv built in and automatically forwards your watched data
to the Trakt.Tv site. I find it to be one of the best apps out there. You can check it out here.

The latest version has streaming issues for me. A movie or tv show will just stop playing like the movie has ended. It isn't a buffering issue, it just stops. I'm on the latest Shield Pro 2017 with gigabyte internet so I know it isn't my connection. It is a great app though.
None of links seem to work on 1.6.6. There's a reason Showbox is very popular.
I can confirm that Terrarium tv is the best movies & tvshows streaming app.
It works with trakt and realdebrid (recently added and work flawless). I tried alot of differend streaming apps but this one is the best I have get so far
You can't install an Android APK on a laptop, unless you want to play around with BlueStacks.
There's plenty of solutions to watch TV on your laptop, Google is your friend.
This doesn't use torrents as the delivery system does it?
Does it still require VLC or MX Player on the Shield, or is there an internal player?

Yes it requires either mx player or vlc player

Hi Everyone,
Am new here, nice to meet you.
I got a weird / silly question that dont have any clue everywhere.
I downloaded a game (with Unity 3d engine) from Play, extracted it to APK, removed the game and reinstalled using that APK. The game loaded up at the beginning but then froze.
I tried different APK extractors, my device was rooted, the game size in the app setting was 400MB when it was running good the first time, but reduced to 140MB after installed with the 90MB APK.
I suspect something was missing in the APK extraction but just cannot figure out what was causing that.
I can find the same app in a APK website and the 4XXMB XAPK downloaded from there worked without issue. Hence I believe it was sth about the reduced size.
Appreciate if anyone could shed some light. Once I can get rid of that, I will start my modding practice soon as I have already knew some approaches and practical steps.

When modding you need to have the data for the app you installed prior also and the modded data has to be put in the same name file etc before opening modded apk

Hi toolhas4degrees, tks for your reply. My problem is I can't even get the exported apk working properly just by installing it right after exported, despite of modding anything...The game does start but then hung after passing the google game play service. The game data is also apparently smaller than the actual one installed from Play directly.
I googled a lot but could not see similar cases reported, would that be some sort of "protection" implemented by Unity to restrict the app being extracted completely?

You have to pull the data from the stock install to your sd then mod then replace the data back into the phone.......
