DNG viewing in Gallery - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
Now that some apps like Snap Camera and ProShot can kick out RAW files as .dng is there a way of getting the Gallery app to show them natively without an app like Lightroom?
Thanks

Gallery and video app not detecting old files

So I've flashed stock jb roms. And the picture gallery and the video player app won't detect any video o photo before I flashed the Rom. I have to use quickpic to see my old pictures.
Anyone know how I can fix this?
Oh music isn't showing up either in the native music app

Go to application manager and clear data from Media Storage app..reboot..check if the pics are being shown..
Nope. I tried clearing the data in the medieval storage app and nothing pictures and videos won't show up in the gallery and video player native app

check if you have any .nomedia file in your pictures folder..enable the file explorer to see .(dot) file..if yes delete it and reboot..
This is the only option I can think of right now..
No there isn't any .nomedia files. It's really weird. And I've done factory resets. Permission fix and all wipes. And stuff..

I had this exact same problem only it was with my rooted Thunderbolt. Even now on my non-rooted Galaxy S3, I cannot view any of my old images from my external sd card (that used to be in the Tbolt) thru Gallery but still must use Quickpic. Wish I had a fix for it, its driving me crazy.

Best Camera/Filter App

I've been looking on the market for the best camera/photo edit app out but havent been able to find one. Coming from an iPhone I used the Camera+ app and lover the HDR features along with full control over photo editing and filters. Any suggestions?

Camera FV-5 has become my replacement camera for the stock cam on my Note 2. FV-5 gives you features you would find on a DSLR camera. Pro HDR Camera is great for the times you want HDR and last but not least Vignette camera.
for editing, I like Picsay Pro, Perfectly Clear and definitely Adobe Photosho Touch(A tad pricey but worth it).

By your comment I'm confused if you are talking about the same phone???
Anyways, assuming you are talking about Xiaomi Mi3, the stock camera app itself is good enough... If you are using digital zoom then i suggest not to do that because no matter which phone camera you use digital zoom makes it look grainy...
Also check if the resolution has been changed in the settings...
Restore to default setting if something has been changed and try again...
Cheers...

I'm using stable version MIUI-KXDMIBE 18.0.1 i.e., with root...
I've heard the dev ROM has some problems with Google camera, maybe 4.8.15 might solve your problem...

Manual Camera App for Android KitKat 4.4.4?

I decided to get into smartphone photography with my Android phone and there are some pretty good camera apps that help take good quality photos, but the apps lack quality features such as, shutter speed, aperture, focal length, and other essential manual features. I did do some research on manual camera apps and I did find apps that offer manual camera controls, but they were for Android 5.0+ and rooted devices. I do not own a device with Android lollipop nor have a rooted phone and/or plan on rooting it due to the difficulties of rooting my device. So, I wanted to know if there is a manual camera app like Manual Camera, but for Android 4.4.4. I already tried Camera FV-5 and that did not offer shutter speed and aperture controls. Btw if such a Play Store app does not exist is there at least like a link to an app or private app? (Idk what apps that are not on the Play Store are called)
Device Specs: ZTE Zmax Android 4.4.4 Not rooted
FV-5 does not require root for shutter speed control. Source: my own usage

Where is it located? Can you take a screenshot of its location? I don't think I have that option and I have the pro version.

Select "P" on the left and tap "S". This gives you shutter speed control
