Sim card N7100 not working after CM12.1 update - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
i installed the unofficial CM12.1 for the N7100 device from here (cm-12.1-20150530-UNOFFICIAL-n7100.zip):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2/orig-development/cyanogenmod-12-alpha-1-n7100-t2949644
two months ago.
Everything works fine until i decided to update the system because OTA was recognizing a new update...worst idea
After the update my sim card was not recognized anymore. After i wiped cache and dalvik via TWRP 2.8.7.0 and installed the cm-12.1 version from scratch the problem still exists. If i try to get my IMEI-number via the dialer (*#06#) the dialer software just crashes.
I installed gapps from here: https://github.com/cgapps/vendor_google/tree/builds/arm (gapps-5.1-arm-2015-07-17-13-29.zip)
Any ideas how i could get my sim card to work again?

SIM Card Not Detected After TWRP

Hello!
I have a OnePlus One running CM13. Recently, I got into a boot loop and had to go to a backup I had made in TWRP v2.8.7.0, but after I did this, the SIM card was not detected. My friend told me this was a bug in versions 8.6.1 and later, and said I should flash 8.6.0, then go back to that backup. This made TWRP accessible, so I tried a factory reset. My phone rebooted and nothing happened. So I installed cyanogen recovery instead and reinstalled CM, but that didn't fix anything. I tried to flash TWRP again, and now neither recovery is accessible.
Now I have an extremely buggy CM that reboots automatically every 2 minutes with no recovery mode and my SIM isn't detected. I'm considering installing Ubuntu Phone or buying a Nexus, but what I really want is to install TWRP, get my SIM detected, and install CM13 release track.
What in the world should I do?

SIM cards not detected after OOS3 Community Update (onyx)

Hi! I flashed the OxygenOS 3.1.0 (Marshmallow) Community Build in my OnePlus X (link), everything okay but my SIM card slots have stoped working. I've tried the following:
Factory reset
Wipe cache
Flash OOS 2 stock
Reflash OOS3
Remove the SIM
Change SIM from slots
Try another WORKING SIM (still not detected)
Reboot tons of times between any steps
Went back to a (working) TWPR backup I had of OOS2
Flash XOSP
Flash CM13
But still no luck...
Can't get a way to fix this and it is obviously a software problem as this never happened before the OOS 3 install.
Any ideas?
Dial *#06# and confirm if it displays Valid IMEI number.

Clean install of CM13 (no simcard detected)

A few years ago I installed CM11 which gave my phone a new boost. A few months ago I noticed the development of CM13 for this device. With the arrival of the snapshots I decided it's time to upgrade.
I'm familiar with the CM13 on another device (Galaxy Tab 2) so I think I know how it works.
I tried several times but the problem is that my SIMcard is not detected.
I use this device as my daily phone, so luckily every time after restoring to my current CM11 everything works fine again.
Current
CM version: 11-20141115-SNAPSHOT-M12-i9300 (smallband I9300XXUGNA8)
TWRP version: TWRP 3.0.2-1
(Living in the Netherlands)
To install:
cm-13.0-20160820-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO0J2-i9300
open_gapps-arm-6.0-mini-20160901
1. sync several apps
2. reboot to TWRP recovery
3. full backup to External SD
4. wipe (factory reset)
5. advanced wipe (cache, dalvik cache, data, system)
6. connect USB-OTG
7. install (in queue: cm-13.0 + open_gapps)
=> no errors
8. wipe cache, dalvik cache
9. reboot to system
during configure: No simcard detected
10. ignore
11 finish configure
12 enable root
sim working: no ( but with sim pincode ON not possible to pass lockscreen )
imei: correct number (checked with DevCheck)
smallband: yes (I9300XXUGND1)
contacts: yes
Also tried to reboot and
To shutdown + remove sim + boot + shutdown + reseat sim + boot
=> nothing
Revert to CM11 and everything works like it should.
The whole world is happy with this CM13 build (and newer nightlies), so I can't believe it has something to do with the rom. While I don't have any problems with my phone on CM11 I'm sure, my phone is fine.
So, what am I doing wrong? Wrong combination of software? Something with partitions, filesystem, etc (never played with that)?
Something with my current carrier Vodafone (sim is simlock free) combined with the XX modem and radio (while should need XP for Netherlands)???
I'm out of options. Please help.
Thanks in advance, René
//Edit
Could it be something to do with the TWRP version I use? Older forum posts (12-2015) suggests that newer versions then 2.8.6.0 wouldn't flash radio and modem correct.
Is it possible to flash an older version of TWRP over the current on...?
I'm in the exact same boat except I had TW 4.1.2 before trying CM13
Phone needs to be running these latest bootloader and modem.

"No Service" after flashing Cyanogenmod

I've unlocked my bootloader using the unofficial method and have flashed Cyanogenmod 13 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-t3431866) with the firmware from the 2nd post.
Unfortunately I'm unable to get any service/signal since doing this, initially it said "No Sim Card" but restarting has turned that into "No Service". I can see in the phone status that it's recognised my phone number and provider.
Is there something else I need to flash (the radios?), any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
You may need the modem files from Kate (International Version), https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24724405900804229
Thanks seapoint.
I've flashed that and I now have signal (I'm able to receive SMS) but I'm not getting a data connection, 3G/4G aren't working. Is there a setting I need to change to get this working?
Have reflashed everything from the beginning in this order:
- Wiped data, system, cache, dalvik
- Flashed CM13
- Flashed gapps
- Flashed Kate modem files
This has resolved the issue and now everything is working as expected.
Thanks again seapoint.

No Cellular Network Available/Google Play Icon

Just installed Slimrom d2att 6.0.1 build 2.1 on Samsung S3 SGHI747 with ARM 6.0 Nano from Open Gapps.
Previous to flashing Rom above I had Slim 4.4.4 build 7.0 Official 5979. Recently had a new sim card installed at a local AT&T store and phone was working fine before flashing Rom. I followed procedures from Slimrom "coming from another ROM or Android version Clean Flash but did a factory reset, wipe cache, and then using TWRP wiped dalvik, cache, system and data, then flashed ROM and Gapps.
Problem: "No SIM card" message. Would factory reset mess up the IMEI? Does this sound like a problem with IMEI?
Pointers and possible fixes are appreciated.
Ended up going back to Slimrom 4.4.4 where Sim Card is identified and Cellular Networks are available. Not sure the new Slimroms 6.0's work on Samsung S3 i747 unless you manually configure.
