Rooting Nightmares! - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I have an Australian (Telstra) S6 Edge 925I with stock firmware (OD1) android version 5.0.2 kernel build April 1st.
PingPong root didn't work (and obviously was ruled out also because of kernel build date)
CF Auto-root has just been sending phone into bootloop, have tried a few variants (925i, 925F, 920f, 920t)
Also tried a kernel flash (as if the phone was on 5.1.1) but just got phone stuck on boot screen.
Tried a TWRP flash, got TWRP to work but bootloop also.
-- I do have a stock firmware that I have flashed to get phone back to normal each time it has soft-bricked.
So it seems that rooting is turning out to be pretty impossible but I have seen so much success for others!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
[also this could be the wrong place to post so redirect or whatever if you have to]
THanks!

Try the Android unified toolkit. It will help you root the proper way for your variant.

Unfortunately, toolkit didn't work for me. When I was going through root process, I flashed TWRP; latest version caused some weird brightness/colour issue so I couldn't use it, flashed the recommended version, and touch screen wouldn't work. Flashed a version in between which worked, but couldn't boot into OS because of bootloop.
So unfortunately I'm still quite stuck. Toolkit seems like a great tool though, if only it would work. I'm certain I'm not doing anything wrong.

So I paid ("donated") for the pro version so I could get it done that way... Yep, device still went into bootloop... Not sure what's going here but now I have also wasted money.

in 5.1.1 you need to have a custom kernel flashed..look into my twrp thread..

CF Auto Root updated and works on my Phone. S6 Edge 925I
Still having trouble installing a recovery though

Root Help, My phone F*D Up?? Root changed Kernel?

I was using Kingo Root to root my S3 i9300, until i realized it wasn't working because it kept looping and when i took my phone out it still kept looping with the rooting process(As if my device is still connected). It rebooted my phone once and the problem is it still keeps looping.
But the problem is, it change my Kernel Version to
3.0.31-2788594

Is that stock S3 kernel?
On S3 rooting changes kernel & recovery.
Get back a stable system by flashing latest firmware by Odin. If it boots normally, use cf-auto-root (by Odin, too).

Don't worry. Odin run perfectly if one READS the tutorials CAREFULLY, which is what most people don't seem to do... I never had any problem flashing all kinds of stuff with ODIN.

Attempted root failure. Kernel Rev. Check Fail.

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I attempted to root my phone last night, which I did successfully. My carrier (telstra, australia) is really ****ty with releasing updates so I'm still on 5.0.2. So I followed these instructions to update to 5.1.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60112855&postcount=3
I did that, and when my phone rebooted it got stuck on the boot screen with "Kernel rev. Check failure".
I have tried to flash my carriers stock 5.0.2 firmware with Odin, but that has currently not fixed it. Do i need to wait until they release 5.1.1? Or can I use any countries 5.1.1, for example, im currently downloading a stock 5.1.1 firmware from India. Will that work?
I don't know what else to do.
I think where I went wrong was not installing a custom kernel other than Supersu, which I now realise thats what the previously linked instructions said. I rooted with Ping Pong root, so I do have SuperSU installed on my phone, but I do not have TWRP.
I know, i'm a dumbass. What can i do?

Help SGS4 AT&T (jflteatt)

After an unsuccessful flash of Xposed Framework with Chainfire's FlashFire Beta, my device wouldn't boot past the AT&T logo. I attempted to flash NB1 stock firmware using Odin from OC4, but I have the same issue.
Specifics
Device - Samsung Galaxy S4 AT&T (jflteatt)
Firmware - NB1 Stock I think, KNOX flag is untripped but download says I have custom Android version. Tried flashing with Odin and got reset/pass. KNOX flag was tripped before, I read its an eFuse so I'm confused
Should I try flashing again or what... I'd like a quick answer as I currently have no phone. Mod feel free to move this if its in the wrong forum. If you need more information just let me know
Samsung devices are know to have issue with xposed. They made changes to the art runtime and last I heard xposed has not fixed it yet.
So if I want Xposesd I should stay on KitKat
How can I get my device working... I've tried what other threads suggested (cache wipe, factory reset, battery pull for thirty seconds). Should I try the stock image again with Odin or try Kies?

xposed works fine on lollipop, but you have to use wanams version of the framework for tw
OK, thanks for the advice. FlashFire can run with a locked bootloader, right?
Also, I still can't figure out how to get my phone booting again I would greatly appreciate advice on how to get past the at&t logo
EDIT
My bootloader is locked so I can only flash with Odin and stock recovery. Took the AT&T OTA before I knew what I was doing.
I found the solution! I was trying to flash a MBL stock AIO with Odin, but after I took an OTA from AT&T a while back, they locked downgrading that far because it's vulnerable to Loki. I found a thread on another forums that stated the firmware was mislabeled. I feel lucky, could have hard bricked it! I managed to install a (proper) deodexed NB1 firmware, rooted it with Towelroot, and upgraded to Lollipop through a FlashFire flash. I was able to install Xposed successfully. Thanks for all the help! It's greatly appreciated!

Help With Unauthorized Software Message (Rooted With 4.3 - Unlocked Bootloader)

Ok so hopefully i can get some help with my issue here. I have just resurrected my S4 i thought was dead, but it had the power button sticking problem, and now after about 3 years its going again! This is my problem tho. I got this phone early in the releases. Rooted while on 4.3, unlocked my bootloader on 4.3, ran many ROMS and tons of flashing with no problems. Currently the phone is (ironically) running Ressurrection Remix KK V5.1.0. My Baseband version still states 1545VRUAMDK. I have been trying to get everything up to date but nothing is working right. Im on TWRP version 2.6.0 and yes i have been into recovery since getting it working again. One time when trying to update TWRP i got the Unautorized Software yellow sign sceen. Booted to Download mode and cancelled. I cant get it back into Recovery now and my TWRP wasnt updated. How has my phone became locked again, and how can i fix this? Thanks
If your really still on MDK you can just reunlock your bootloader. Any higher and your stuck on stock, or you could try your luck with flashfire but it only works with touchwiz rims and when I used it on my old s4 it hard bricked it.
You have soft-bricked
Use Odin and flash the no-wipe tar of MDK while in download mode then re-root, etc. You need to use Flashfire to update TWRP. I did the same thing as you recently testing ROM installation with different versions of TWRP. If you update by flashing the img file via TWRP it soft bricks, I found out the hard way.

Root still possible?

I am using Android 9 on my SM-T860. It is rooted. I am using TWRP.
I would like to upgrade to Android 10 with Odin and then re-root the tablet with Magisk using TWRP, is that possible? I think I read someplace that Magisk, Tab S6 and Android 10 were not fully compatible?
Assuming it was okay, do I need to flash WETA kernel and flash Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt in TWRP again before Magisk like I did when I first got the Tab and unlocked bootloader and flashed TWRP?
I also had to hard reboot the tablet while it was building cache (it seemed to freeze and that was described in the root guide I followed) the very first time is booted up after all this rooting, would that be necessary again?
My tablet is one that has crashed several times, I hope that it's a software issue and installing new Android will fix it.
Also, why does my PC spell checker not pick up typos like on some other forum post websites? Why isn't there a red squiggly line under errors for my to right click and correct?
Hello i have an tab s6 from tmobile too i want to know if anybody has flaahed it with uk firmware or any other internatiinal firmware and it runs fine or any links to root and unlock it since i been for more than 10 month with the big T and they dont know how to unlock it any info is apreciated thanks

Yes. You will lose TWRP. It will be replaced with stock recovery.
