Can anyone point me to a rom or tell me a way to get a way to go back to stock? I like root and all, but I want to go back to stock. I have Sac23 (name wrong? ) 5.0 Stock rom but there doesn't seem to be an update to like 5.1.1 because he is making S6 Ports(I like then but can't get ny service to work the APN was enabled when flashed but.....) so can I like find a lollipop Odin rom and rip it out of the .tar and flash it? If there is a stock rom for any version above 5.0 please direct me..
Oh and sorry fir posting in wrong thread if I did. It said Help so..
There is only 1 stock lollipop rom for the Sprint Note 3 and that is OC5 5.0. There hasn't been an update to 5.0.2 or 5.1.1

Hi I'm am new to the Verizon G Note 2 and I have been reading the threads and I see many people asking the same questions but not really getting the information that I am looking for. I have rooted my device I am on the VRUEMJ9 build. I have renamed the ota apps so that I do not get the 4.4.2 update. My question is other than safestrap if I want to update to 4.4.2 what needs to happen. Do I need to wait for a pre-rooted Odin 4.4.2 rom or are we waiting for a rooting solution to 4.4.2 O.T.A rom

Since you're bootloader is locked and safestrap is only compatible with 4.3, you should not take to the upgrade to 4.4.2.
Hi!
As stated above, I tried updating to the Kit Kat Release for Portugal's I9205 from an asian I9205. Testing out the device, mobile data won't activate and gives me a "Please Insert SIM" error. Because of this, I wanted to roll back to 4.2.2 but seem to be encountering an error in ODIN, primarily one that says "Check Fail Fused 2 > Binary 1".
My question is, how would I be able to revert to 4.2.2? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Unfortunately, upgrading to KK is one way road... after installing KK there is not possible to downgrade because of new bootloader and efuse in kernel. If you want to go back to good old 4.2.2 let flash MegaFireV10 ROM from @ megalomanic14 which is greatly improved stock 4.2.2 and is already rooted. I could be flashed onto KK without consequences. Simple flashing back stock 4.2.2 could make your phone brick.
Oh, so there's no way for me to roll back? That sucks!
If I flash a new custom ROM, like LiquidSmooth, would my ability to use my mobile data be restored? What's affecting it at any rate? The Modem? Is there anything I could flash that could help?
Would restoring it via KIES work?

trul3 is giving good advice!!! flash the Megafire v10 rom..it looks and feels like the stock 4.2.2 rom with a few extra apps on it..
You'll be pleased and just May get your mobile data restored!
good luck
I did a Nandroid backup and restored that after trying NE4. The only change is the baseband is now NE4 but I am back on MH2. Is this not normal?

Yes you can downgrade from lollipop to kit kat. Doing so does not effect the knox bootloader. Neither does rooting, only installing a recovery will. So if you were to want to root your phone so you can install a custom rom, you would need to install custom recovery to install the rom. This would trip the knox bootloader and void your warrenty. Im not sure if you lease your phone from tmobile, but if you do, you might want to reconsider custom roms, unless you intend on keeping the phone and not turning it back it for an upgrade. As far as rooting 5.0 lollipop im not sure. Im only speaking of my experience downgrading from 5.0 to kit kat. I hope this helps

Root UVU1DOB1 Android 5.0 on T-Mobile Galaxy S5 G900T Official Firmware
i got lollipop yesterday and i just did this 5 minutes ago. works perfectly. the only prerequisite is that you have to flash a custom recovery and immediately boot to the recovery to apply the zip

i just updraded to ob1 5.0 today and have since rooted it. took no time at all following the instructions listed in the link. now my question is can i run custom roms with the upgraded baseband and what not. would love to try some new roms on my shiny new s5
yeah, there's a couple. i ran cm12 for a bit but i had serious problems with bluetooth sound quality (dropped out every 3-5 seconds). i almost broke my S5 because of it. i've since downgraded again. i need touchwiz so i don't lose the fingerprint and other TW specific features, but right now there's no great way to incorporate xposed.. well, someone was hacking something, but i stopped following..
so essentially just hold and wait for something to be done. im loving my s5 but just want to increase battery life and maybe increase performance a bit. other than that i prefer tw and most stock files and features
I am on stock DOB1 now after bricking my phone a month ago.
Any idea if there are any stable Lollipop AOSP ROMs out there that work with the DOB1 Modems/BL?
I kinda want to try Sonic Kang. It looks pretty solid to me!
Does this root method trip knox? No recovery just root

It does if it flashes a custom bootloader or kernel.
Is this the case no matter what version OS of the phone you have?
New to the forums, but was hoping to get some help with this... pardon me if this was answered already...
I am on a rooted 5.1.1 stock firmware on my S5... I don't like it. I want to go back to KitKat or any version of Android that supports Xposed modules... I read in another forum that it's possible to do since (to my knowledge) the Xposed framework is not supported on our devices yet... so my question is simple. What do I need to do to get back on KitKat so I can use my beloved Xposed mods? Thanks for any contributions and if anyone needs more details, I'll be happy to tell you what you need to know. Thanks again.

Just picked up an S5 running 5.1.1 and I'm wondering the same. My guess is since its an unlocked bootloader you can go to sammobile, download the ROM and use odin to install it. I'm coming from an ATT S4 that had a locked BL so this is kinda new to me.

You are correct. But if the only reason the OP doesn't like lollipop is because Xposed doesn't work, why not just flash a ROM? G900T's unlocked bootloader lets you run whatever you want.
Xposed works fine on non-Samsung lollipop roms (cyanogenmod, for example)

Guys i downgraded from 5.0 to 4.4.4 by flashing Stock rom with the help of odin
Now how do i root ? please help me as soon as possible ..
device - samsung note 3 verizon sm-n900v 32gb
There is no root for 4.4.4 and you can not flash a lower OS.
You are stuck with stock only.

Sorry but just like the thousands of us you are stuck without root. 4.4.4 is the lowest you can go back to so you can only do 4.4.4 or 5.0. There is a rumor that someone may have found an exploit and make it available later in January or in February, but it is only rumor and no one has cracked it yet.

I too heard this rumor...
searched and searched.......then bought a Note 3 off ebay on 4.4.2 already rooted. Hoping to sell the unrooted Note 3 on ebay for close to or maybe more than the rooted phone. The rumor will most likely end up like they always do....nowhere.
I hope the rumors are true. I can't find anything about who is working and releasing the root method for 4.4.4. Just posts about it's supposed release. I don't want to downgrade until it is official.
You can wish in one hand and sh!+ in the other, and see which gets filled first.
Yeah, they're likely false as always. The real devs have moved on from this device awhile ago.
Dang. Can't even get my Note to downgrade from 5.0 to 4.4.4. Wish there was a way to do a total factory restore, taking me back to 4.4.2 (like how those who upgraded Win8 to 8.1 would revert back to 8 after factory restore). Lately, I've been craving my root, and I don't have the ability to upgrade to Nexus 6P for another 3 months. Meh.. A man can hope, that's for sure!
My Note 3 is still on 4.4.2. I was thinking of upgrading. Bad idea? D:

I'd advise against it if you wish to root/keep root.

well that's your problem, use Verizon image N900VVRUDNJ6 or N900VVRUDNK1
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N900V/
This still won't get you root though,. I have an unused note 3 so I threw everything at it and bricked it several times. I gave up and just bought an already rooted note 3 from eBay then sold the unrooted phone.
