My phone didnt charging with USB anymore... 3 times ago i turned off the phone em plug USB and try to charge, it started the phone normally but no charging... And now, trying any method and any USB works
My usb was bricked??? There is a way to know about it?? Ah log or a app that shows if a hardware are working??
Or any solution???
is your computer recognizing the phone when you connect it ?
if it is and charging is not working means that the charging pins of usb might be broken
I think the inner pins of a usb cable are for charging , they might be damaged .
Try using another usb cable
Sent from my GT-S5670 using xda premium
I used any other usb cable in other phones it works, but in my phone didnt USB cable neither recharger works i think it is my phone

Are you just having a problem connecting it to the PC? Will it charge in the wall charger? You need to determine if it's the port on your phone, the cable you have, or the usb port on your computer. So if you plug it into the wall with the same cord, you can rule out the cord and the phone being messed up and then you'd need to take a look at the computer or the usb slot. Do a process of elimination and go from there. Post your results and we'll see if we can help.
Hello all,
Honor 7,
PLK-UL00
B341 and EMUI 4.0
Android 6.0
Im unable to use my phone as USB Mass storage device. When i connect my phone to PC sometimes im getting as USB device not recognized and sometimes im not. I tried different PCs and different cables. ITs ONLY CHARGING
tried cleaning the micro usb port, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers in Pcs but it didnt work.
I switched off my phone, removed mem card, reinserted it, swithced it on again, connected my phone to PC(in sleep mode)
phone is detected as storage device and got notification in notification panel to select as charge only/files mode/ photos mode.
After ejecting and removing cable again back to issue. No detection. OTG also not detected. No Data transfers are being made but its only charging( even through Car USB port)
Anybody facing USB not recognised problem ? i hope its software related.
could anyone let me know of solution.
Thanks.
I am also facing the same issue
I thought I was alone in this issue.
Basically, my problem is, the wall charging and USB connect are reversed. i.e., I connect my wall charger, its showing as USB mode and when I connect the cable to a PC, its showing as AC Charging. I tested with Ampere app and when I connect to AC Charger, it is drawing only around 300mA(like it would do if connected to USB) and its drawing around 1.5A(like it would do when connected to wall charger) when connected to USB PC.
I have been having this issue for quite sometime and recently, I had upgraded to Marshmallow through OTA upgrade. I thought atleast this upgrade would fix this issue but I am still facing the same issue. I even contacted the customer care and nothing useful advice other than restoring to factory settings was suggested(which I tried and didn't work).
I guess it should be some software issue but don't know what it is or how to fix it. Any inputs would be welcome.
Hi all! Tried searching for an answer to this but couldn't see it. I currently own a Galaxy S8 and I normally charge it overnight via a USB cable from my laptop while it is off, as the USB still delivers power to the phone even when it is turned off. Using the same cable+laptop+port as before, this does not seem to work for the Galaxy S21 that I have recently been given - it starts the charging process but then stops after 3 seconds or so. Does anyone know why this might be the case? I have not changed any configurations within Windows/BIOS at all. The S8 still charges fine via the same cable. Is there a setting in the phone I need to change? Thanks in advance!
Try changing the USB cable to an emarked cable. It may not want to charge because the cable is missing the chip.
I have tried repeatedly to connect my phone to my PC (Windows 11) without any luck. Normally I would expect that just connecting the USB cable would be enough but no (I have 2 identical phones). I can connect through bluetooth and transfer files without issue. I have installed this driver as I thought being a new phone it may need a new driver still no luck. I tested the cable on my old LG phone and I can connect and transfer, I also tested the cable that came with the phone. The phone is the Chinese model with that MIUI. The phone does nothing except recharge when connected and it does not appear in windows. I have enabled USB debugging. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?
After repeating the whole exercise it appears I may have had a faulty USB A to USB C converter connected to my PC (newish case). Works sometimes, sometimes not. Using a USB A at the back of the PC now faithfully connects and solves the problem.
