I just purchased a pioneer appradio, and want to use app radio on it. Will running an HML HDMI to micro USB work? Pioneer tech support swears up and down it won't work because video can't be output through the cable connection. Does anybody know of it will work or not?

If you have a 3G dongle, just take the SIM out of it and put it in the Tab.
Hi, I would like to ask whether the GT-5100 (original ICS 4.0.4) support for usb ethernet adapter? I have Goclever tab where I easily ST LAB adapter works, but writes that TAB 2 nerozoznané devices. Do you know about a Function adapters for this model? I need it to work, which often must be connected directly to a cable. As a temporary solution I use NANO portable WIFI router from TP-Link.
Hi

Hi All,
I am looking to convert my unlimited data (Samsung Galaxy S3) to a wifi signal but have some hurdles... 1) No hotspot feature included on cell, 2) Hotspot apps trigger an "additional fee" message from carrier and 3) don't want to brick cell by trying to root. We are currently using Easytether which is working great but are limited by the USB cable.
Is it possible to connect a cell directly to a wireless router (via USB cable) or through a desktop? Could a dongle or external adapter help us? Could we somehow adjust the built-in wireless card to connect to the Easytether adapter in the Network Center?
I realize this is probably apples to oranges but am hoping someone has a work around. I have done my homework as a noob but my head is pounding with this one. Thank you everyone in advance. ps...I do have someone who can follow your instructions
Desktop/Win 7 Home,
Old EeePc netbook/Win XP
RCA Viking Pro Android 5 Lollipop
Like the title implies, I was using a galaxy s7 to connect. Now that I have upgraded, I have not been able to connect to the adapter as usual. I have upgraded firmware on the adapter to the current version. The phone also updated to its most current version. I have been able to connect to a Samsung tv via smart view. It holds the connection.
I see on Microsoft's website that listed for Android support only goes to version 5.0. Why would this protocol not work though... thought it was standard.
Anyone have suggestions?
Anyone using another dongle to connect direct to tv without having Wi-Fi available?
Regards
That is the same problem for me. I wish I had a solution. It worked perfectly yesterday. Today my note 8 got the oreo update. Now i connect, shows the screen mirror as normal, but disconnects after about 2 seconds.
Microsoft wireless firmware is 2.0.8350. Wish I could roll back the android update.
Not getting much response on here but I think I found that Samsung has stopped supporting MHL a crucial protocol for using anything other than Samsung's smart view connectivity or Google Chromecast. These are not the best options for me and a serious setback for a new phone and operating system. I hope they change their mind if not I may be looking at other options.
Many are ditching the old protocols. You just got on it at the start.
Do you happen to know if there are any non-wifi dependent screen mirror options (either wired or wireless) that will work to an hdmi source?
I guess the usb-c to hdmi would still work. Miracast is the component no longer available?
