Will the root and unlock boot-loader work the same way as Padfone S? I just bought Padfone S Plus on ebay.

I know the padfone x is the US version and the S is the international version. What I was wondering does anyone know if the screen / digitizer for the S is the same for the X?
The issue I have I cracked my screen on my Padfone X and having a hard time finding a replacement. I have found a few places selling one for the S and wondering if that one will work.
