Hi, is there any root method for this new model? I've already tried these but with no luck:
- SuperOne Click
- Vroot
- Kingo Root
- Towel Root app
- SRS Root
Any ideias?
Model number: SM-G531F
Android Version: 5.1.1
Baseband version: G531FXXU1AOG3
Build number: LMY48B.G531FXXU1AOH1
I have the file AP_G531FXXU1AOH1_CL693190_QB5886620_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 obtained using Samsung Kies. This file used with Odin, restores the original stock ROM.
Can this help anyone to create a ROOT procedure for this model?
These are some of the properties I get using adb getprop:

What about this knox stuff? Its some kind of secure, yes ? Maybe that's why its so hard to do that. I was have a I9070 with CWM and liquid smooth. And it was a best full customise, fast, stable etc.
But the main things was a ROOT. Without this permissions its like riding on bike with two more wheels behind Dear developers! Help Us we count on You

Keep patience That model is pretty fresh as well so
To each, his own..some are more serious users than others..its not always a matter of patients (OR) being desperate..and SOMETIMES..offering a bounty helps with development (even if its a couple $) and all can benefit from those ones that encourage development, rather than patients or begging..
Worthless comments are plentiful here on XDA, why add another.?

Man, I known what U mean. Stock Rom is sh*t from a simple reason : ads. If someone used before a custom rom and used for example ad away. Knows what that's mean. It slow whole system, browser, sites loading like candle on a grave (no sure about right comparison )or not loads at all....like weird problems with keyboard at sms (freeze buttons) also in browser......really nice device. But...yeah....uhh
need ROOT

Hello masters, after lurking for quite some time trying to figure out things by just reading, I finally decided to put away the shy me, give it a shot and start interacting.
Android has educated us end-users to become more savvy into getting the full control with our devices and the many things that we can learn along the way. OK, nuff with the blabbering.
I got a budget friendly phone for this journey - which will be my practice device. I am just fascinated with all the possibilities that may happen with a tiny handheld Android.
So, my initial plan was just to root and install custom ROM for this device. I have done some research for the past couple of hours on how to root SKK Mobile A5. Here are the specs:

1. ROOTING
I have tried several methods and for some reasons only this VRoot_1.4.3.3378_Setup worked from bbs(dot)mgyun(dot)com and sadly I could not understand Chinese so before I get distracted from my primary goal (learning to maximize this tiny handheld and customizing ROM) and try to dissect the application to make an English version or learn Chinese so I can read it, I am going to ask you dear masters, for help. Any other suggestions?
Also, right now it says its rooted but I cannot flash CWM (or maybe it's just because I can't understand the prompts) and as far as what I've read this device doesn't have one yet. SKK's mobile devices looks like they're going to be mass-manufactured and really affordable, so another goal of mine is to maximize this, and also suggest improvements along the way.
I am just fond of simple things that CAN. I hope this ain't too much

Yep as I said I used Vroot. The only thing is it installs Chinese Superuser app which I am not so fond of because I cant understand it.

Honestly, if nobody has a recovery for this device, it might be easier just to port it yourself.
Of course, you can always try MTKTOOLS. It created a cwm for my Lenovo when it wasn't supported by CWM or teamWin

MTK Droid tools would certainly be your best option here. Porting is not for the uninitiated as you can severely damage your device.
MTKtools has a dedicated thread here somewhere. (You'll have to search because I cannot post links here at the moment.)
Just hit the root button and it should simply compile a cwm for you as it did for me. You'll need to enable USB debugging in developer options. If you can't see it in your settings, go to About Device and tap on Build Number 7-9 times to enable Developer Options.

Hello,
I got a new Runbo Q5 rugged outdoor smartphone:
http://en.runbo.net/productview.php?id=226
It comes with:
Android version: 5.1
Kernel version: 3.10.65
Custom build version: A106_DT800_Runbo-EN_6M_20151218_V6.4
I'm trying to root it, but so far with no success. I already used the following "simple-auto-rooting-tools":
Android APK version of http://kingroot.net
Desktop version of http://www.rootgenius.com
KingRoot Desktop version of http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
None of them is working. Has anybody some experiences in rooting a Runbo Q5? What would be the next steps if I'm thinking about digging more into this and trying to do it by myself?
Thanks in advance!

Hey XDA,
I'm new to this site, but I have few questions and I am needing some help on rooting my phone.
I've been trying for the past month now to find out how to get Pokemon GO to work with hacks, and I just can't seem to get it to work with anything, without rooting. So that leads me to the point that I'm at now with rooting and using Xposed.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4, it has a Verizon carrier and it's running Android 5.0.1 with baseband of "I545VRSGPL1."
I'm needing someone who can give me exact details on how to root my phone, get xposed running and working on it, and being able to use Pokemon GO hacks. It's at the stock ROM right now. Thanks in advance!
