I bought a cheap generic tablet from amazon :
Model Number : BTC
Android Version : 4.4.2
Kernel Version :3.4.0+
build number: full_gs702c_userdebug 4.4.2 KOT49H eng.root.20150105. 112232 release-keys
the problem is that it lets me configure my apn but when i save it there is no apn saved, (does not appear in apn list ) i have factory reset and run some apn apps but it still wont appear after i save it .
so i was thinking it may be a firmware fault ,
i looked around and it takes "Lollipop" . (tablet wont upgrade from settings ) (there is a "Owl" app to upgrade ) keeps saying server busy,
So question is am i able to download the latest Lollipop ( stock as in original untouched ) firmware and upgrade from the built in sd card and if so what Lollipop firmware would be best ,..

ps was also trying to run "Uniflash" but it wont run, dnt know how to post picture , but uniflash crashes after starting up and there is no options displayed just

anyone help me out ?
Wouldn't mind getting my hands on a rom for this tablet just got all my kids one and my youngest broke gapps already lol wonder how long before they end up in boot loops ect since they come pre rooted. I would also like to see a compatible recovery if any one has that working yet.

i just install a app called "applanet" and it is say that you have some apps update so i click update it all one of the updates is the "cos settings" and after the update

you say that update falls that men it wasnt installed and this is good.from applanet never update system apps beacuse they are not right. actually you dont need to update any CyanogenMode settings. so if you didnt installed you dont need to be wory.
no man i do update and i just remove the COS SETTINGS at all and now i need a good one , all the display section is removed from the CyanogenMode settings until i install a good one
then the best way is backup your apps sms mms contacts and try first with factory reset if is still the same reinstall rom and restore your stuff
No man no !! i just need the right apk file that fit for my device that is all . my device alive and every think work will !!
i dont know what is the name of apk for CyanogenMode settings.
so try with repack your rom on pc and find setting.apk , settings provide.apk in system/app and try if this wil help. also you can add all the CM apps. i hope i will work.
Now I start like you, I have a xrecovery backup and a room now how to reback it on my pc so I can search for " cos settings.apk" thanks

Hi everyone, i have bought a black Chinese Android Phone named Mini 7562. I have tried many times to root it with any tool on Internet but nothing . Too many system app but never has been used (imitChat, Talk ... etc) make my phone running slowly, force stop some app when using:crying:. Please help me, thanks very much

Iam pissed off by this device even the devices below us have cm 11 ahhhh!! Its disgusting ...
All we have to fix is
1) network problem (ril file ) n one guy had made its fix n we r not even testing tat
2) it doesn't read SD card ...
3)n final error is camera (use 3 rd party app)
We gonna fix tat in any cost .........KKK I am new here BT I know this device from 2.5 years so as I said I cannot use any stock based ROM anymore ..... I request every devloper to concentrate in cm ....
#T3 , shade SK, akshay ,bhargav, indo devs every one here ,

I also want to say that. Lets give another try to fix it. RIL will be our top priority.
I have many views to share, I have been trying to fix this (whatever can be done by build.prop)
Btw the device is not even 2 years old
Tried to take ril file of other rom

Why don't you attach RIL file which you are claiming to be fixed?

Why can't we take ril of tat device' s cm ROM avinab n all developer here try this atleast we need one cm ROM fr our device which is fully stable n any new fixes must be uploaded which might be a relief for us avinab keep trying its good tat it reads sim plzz upload fix here ..... Their RIL architecture and our architecture is different.
Developer says that this CM is built on a faulty device tree, so RIL fix is near impossible job.
However, Sambathpr or someone with similar username he once claimed he had fixed RIL by build prop tweaks
SIM Detection
In your build.prop add these lines in system properties section

Phone should now detect SIM but no network.
I was studying CM of Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo (the nearest to ours), and observed these
There rild.libpath refers to a file called libbrcm-ril.so, whereas in our case its libreference-ril.so
They have 4 RIL files in their library
libbrcm-ril.so (800kB)
libreference-ril.so (29kB)
libril.so (14kB)
libsecril-client.so (13kB)
Whereas we have 3 RIL files
libreference-ril.so (650kB or so)
libril.so (14kB)
libsecril-client.so (13kB)
I can't say that we have any file missing (I found these 3 in the stock as well), nor is that we are connected to wrong RIL file (logcat says RIL is connected successfully).
So I am not sure here what I can do. Maybe if anybody can aid me in decompiling those files, I may understand the code and can guess what's going around. I will expect Java based coding there, but, well, I do know programming (C++ to be specific), so I may understand what's going around. Also those files are binary and text editors cannot read it unlike build.prop

Please don't get me wrong, CM development was started in 2013, but even high profile devs could not bring stability in it. So many had thought that custom rom hopes are over, so its hard to believe anyone who claims that cm has got its ril fixed.
So if you post these screenshots, we can get a better idea and believe in you.
Truly speaking, we too urge for CM.
I am ready to offer my full support (whatever I can) but not until April.
Hoping to hear from you ASAP.

Even If 1 sim is fixed Its Great News, 2 Sims couldn't work anyways as CM 10.1 doesnt support Dual SIMs, though If we can make cm 10.1 work, I suppose maybe it could be upgraded to 10.2 which supports multi sim from what I know.. Anyways I am taking the fix news with a pinch of salt.. but still iff its True Great Work @khaledghoneem

I just got an Oppo R15 from a Chinese friend. The phone is great and all but the problem is that everything is in Chinese. This is not a language problem. I mean the version of the OS is Chinese. There is no PlayStore or any other google apps, like a normal android smartphone.
So how do I make it English and use all the usual Google apps?

Go on your browser and search Google Play and Download it!
As for English you will need to go to setting > Language (Yellow Icon with Letter A on it, under the battery logo) > Select English

i also got oppo R15 from china and even after downloading play store n all I am still unable to get my phone book through gmail. Not even Jio sim is working in this mobile. Pls suggest what to do

Anyone know how to create an OPPO ID for verification? It's only giving me the option to register using a Chinese phone number. Email registration won't work for me either. I'm trying to install google apps via an installer, but every time it tells me i need to verify my identity.

Keeps asking me to sign intovor set up oppo account but I can't because I am not in china and don't have a chinese number. This phone has really pissed me off. There must be a way to wipe and load a global rom on it.

i get a same problem. but i have another problem with a oppo r15.. its realy dificult toinstal google play services..

But it will not install google framework everytime it gives an unknown error and says try later

Yep, never buying another phone from China without first confirming International ROMs again.
For those thinking of flashing the P Beta DON'T. You have GPlay and can install apps, but 80% of them won't work, and it barely functions as a phone, so it's as much of a brick as Chinese ColorOS.
i have had an oppo R15 dream edition i bought in china over 12 months ago, i have no problem downloading google apps and many other apps. i dont bother with the oppo id as it is something all mainland chinese phones have.mine works well and have had no issues. yes when you select english in the setting some chinese characters still appear in some apps but that does not bother me. most of the chinese content is for wechat, alipay and a host of online ordering sites. 1 cant understand why people have issues with the phone.when i travel to china i always use a vpn service so i can use all the google apps and whatever else is blocked or restricted in china.

you need to sync your phone with google, then your phone book will appear
