Hello Friends,
I bought a SIM Free unlocked S6 Edge from Amazon UK, but it came locked and the box says it needs to be activated using a EU Sim for a first call for 5 minutes. today I tried it using it with an Indian SIM card but it says SIM not supported etc. As I am in India and want to use it here, want to know how to use it in India?
Since, I am a novice please share the steps involved to start using the phone in India. Thanks.

I was wondering, if I buy a Rogers branded galaxy tab 10.1 from someone (it's cheaper since a lot of people got free tablets as part of a promotion), there isn't a requirement to pop in a SIM or anything right? I'm neither a Rogers customer nor do I plan on using 3G. I only want to use WIFI to connect to the internet.
That should be doable right? I plan on rooting and flashing a custom ROM after to get rid of all the Rogers branded crap. I would get the WIFI model but that's a lot more expensive than the Rogers ones I see on craigslist.
Thanks!
shouldn't be any problem you are only using the sim to access 3G/4G anyways
there is an unlock tool posted, so you can unlock the Tab and insert any sim of your choice

Hi,
I am looking to buy a locked to Bell Tab.
Where can I find the unlock tool so that I can unlock it and send it to US (as gift) for use with US providers?
Thanks!
Hello,
Seeing as in this gen SD845 version totally wins over Exynos version in terms of battery life and snappiness, I am thinking of buying the US unlocked version to be used here in EU. I am almost 100% sure the LTE bands are all compatible, but what worries me a bit is the region lock, as we have it here for the EU version of S9+, which requires we insert a EU sim card to activate the phone. I haven't seen anything similar in the US, but just to be sure, my question then is: Is a US sim card necessary in order to activate a US unlocked S9+, or I can simply insert my EU sim card and the phone will work? Thanks!

Hello,
My wife's Galaxy Note 8 somehow boots to different firmware based on SIM card inserted into it which surprised me since I thought that phones are usually coming with single firmware for either provider. I'm considering switching to T-Mobile from ATT and I have ATT branded Galaxy S9+ unlocked. My question will it have the same experience I noticed on my wife's phone or I have to deal with flashing firmware etc to make it work properly with WiFI calling etc features of native T-Mobile ROM?
Below message I received from Ebay seller which sold Galaxy Note 8. Is it true?
Thanks for contacting us. Samsung integrated new firmwares on S8 and newer model phones. Means whatever sim card you insert, it will program according to it. If you insert T-Mobile sim card, phone will restart and will show T-Mobile logo and apps. Same for AT&T and other GSM carriers. If you are AT&T user. Please insert the AT&T sim card and phone will ask you to restart the device with AT&T logo and apps. Tap yes.

Yes. It will work on any carrier. Even vzw or Sprint

If unlocked ATT branded GS9+ phone will work on any other carrier, what is the point of the threads below about flashing T-Mobile CSC (or whatever it's called) to ATT phone and vice a versa, etc if phone already supports switching between carriers on it's own?
I have the sm-G991Gu1 that I ordered from samsung in the US. Currently using it with a tmo aim card.
I've read that all s21 models are dual sim. Is this true? Can I put in another sim card from my European carrier and use it when traveling etc? (not esim).

Hi
I think your model 1 sim only , you can double check under settings / about phone if you have 1 or two Imei, also your sim try has one or two slots?
Hello, just a quick question about using international sim card. I'm traveling to the Philippines in a week and wanted to know if a sim from the Philippines would work with my unlocked S23U, purchased from Samsung, currently running S918USQU1AWC8
Previously, I had only bought carrier phones and on my last trip, I had to only go to the T-Mobile app to unlock the phone and was able to use a Philippine sim after that.
So is there a way to check if it would work? Your help is greatly appreciated

I would suggest you to take a look at eSIM option instead. Easier to acquire and better solution for short travelling.
