Hello,
I have a small issue i have some buses i have glympse to track them (in trial) i have a big issue with the 4 hour tracking limit its to hard to teach the drivers to use the software most of them are old.
So i am asking for help the options i can think of are;
Pay someone to change/ hack the Glympse app itself so i can track for say 12 hours.
A remote log in app ? so i could log on to each android phone from the office and change it myself from here in the office.
Or use another software option, the main reason like glympe is im able to have the map live tracked on my website for schools to be able to track there bus,
so if there is another app out there i need it to have the feature
see this link to see what i am trying to achieve

Thanking you in advance.

To be more specific : I've got friends visiting my city tomorrow and I want to bring them to specific places but I'd like to be able to look at my phone from time to time to check the places we'll still need to see, where they are according to where we'll be, maybe being able to see if there are some interesting stuff in the vicinity, etc.
What app should I use ? Latitude, Foursquare ? I don't know much about 'geotagging'. To add some challenge to this : I don't have a data plan. GPS and Wifi only !
Thanks !
I've been trying to find a nav app that will let me import pre-planned trips.
In my research I found only two; 1) copilot, 2) HTC Locations with Trips tab.
Well I can't stand #1, and it seems that #2 was only available in Asia, unless I'm missing something? it seems like a feature that should be standard as it has since the first days of dedicated gps devices but it still hasn't arrived on Android, not even in the Google suite of apps despite the constant posts in the Google forums requesting this function.
being able to create a specific route or record a route for the purpose of sharing and reuse I don't think is a lot to ask.
until this happens their will always be a market for a dedicated GPS.

Try this … Orux maps … market link https://market.android.com/details?...t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5vcnV4Lm9ydXhtYXBzIl0.
Web site has a help forum … http://www.oruxmaps.com/index_en.html
I only use it for Aviation and I import maps with preplanned flights.
It supports a number of different maps that can be side loaded on your sdcard so no data connection is needed.
Edit ... I forgot to add it's Free
that's a nice non-data tracker, like Google's My Tracks without the 3g map, thx..... but I still can't record for vehicle nav with text to speech which is what I'd really like.

I purchased Navigon assuming it would do this, but it doesn't. Great app otherwise.

that looks like a perfect companion to my Colorado GPS! I tracked our whole summer holiday with it, but it's be great to be able to see that track on a mobile device (that's a bit larger than that 2-something inch screen that my Colorado has )
Hi guys, theres this app that the local nightclub that i go to have and it allows you to check in via facebook to earn points for drinks, this is the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/...SwyLDEsImNvbS5ib29naWVzcG90Lm9yYW5nZXdoaXAiXQ.. everytime you check in it gives you 14 points, me and my friend use fake gps to check in from home to accumulate points during the week sometimes. Just wondering if someone could help me out and hack this so it can have more points or point me in some direction of doing this?
Hi All,
I've used XDA many times before, normally for specific questions on ARHD ROMs. This is my first 'non-handset-specific' post, so my apologies to the moderators if this is in the wrong place.
I work on a cruise ship and we're continually crossing time zones. Currently, to alter the time zone on my (rooted) HTC OneX, I need to pull down the notifications tray, select settings, scroll down and select date and time, then select time zone. I can't use the Auto function, as the network time on the ship (satellite) is only available over Wi-Fi, for which I have to pay an exorbitant rate.
I'm looking for an app that will allow me one-tap access to changing the time zone. 'Time Zone Widget Light' almost does the job, as a tap on the widget scrolls through pre-set time zones, but this only allows me to step forward, and sometimes I need to go backwards as well (sadly our ship itineraries refuse to follow pre-set time zones, although I'm working on it!)
Does anybody know of such an app, or perhaps a toolkit that lets me drill down to sub-layers of the android settings menu and create a short-cut?
And before you tell me to google this, please understand that I have to a certain extent, but as internet access here is £10 for 167 minutes (and that's the discounted crew rate!) you can appreciate that I can't afford to spend too much time googling!! Anyway, XDA forum folk are much more personal than a google search!
I hope someone can help me.

There is a way... using Manual Intent Shortcuts, but is pretty difficult since you need the exact name of the activity that controls the timezone.
Try this app, maybe it's like what you're looking for.

Hmmmm.... tell me more! I'm sure I can work out which process points to the time zone screen.:fingers-crossed:
Solved!
I managed to find the correct Manual Intent shortcut by using xShortcut Lite (find it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ex.chinyang.android.xshortcut&hl=en which created the shortcut for me.
Thanks to all who browsed this post.
Someone at work installed a spy app on my Huawei mate 20 pro.
They are able to see all my internet history in real time. They are also able to see network traffic on other computers on the same wifi. Not sure how they are doing this? I'm fairly certain they can also see photos I've taken, and traffic going through a VPN.
I am willing to pay someone if they can help me figure out when it was installed and the name of the app.
thanks
