Going to 4.4.4 CM11 to lollipop ATT M7 - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I've got hboot 1.57, 4.4.4., and the latest CM11 nightly. Unlocked bootloader, S-ON. I'm trying to flash the RUU_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_Cingular_US_7.23.502.1_Radio_4M.32.3218.06_10.46.1718.01L_release_424933_signed_2 rom update from the HTC website. I keep getting an error 155 that it isn't the right rom image for my phone. I'm assuming I need to relock my bootloader for the update to take? Do I need to go back to full stock? I've googled a ton and cannot find an easy way to relock my bootloader. I'm not sure if it matters, but I no longer have the stock HTC usb cable so i'm using one that came with a dell windows tablet. Thanks for any help.

Thanks, i got the bootloader locked. I tried to flash the rom and it got stuck at step 1/6 Sending for over an hour. I'm going to retry after uninstalling htc sync and running in xp compatibility mode. If that doesn't work I'll try extracting the rom.zip and manually flashing it with fastboot.

Yes you do have to relock.
I did not relock my phone and it updated without a problem. Just went back to stock rom and stock recovery then checked system updates and was suprised when it worked since everyone was saying that you had to relock.

Can you get the radios from a ROM that has them baked in, or is that not how it works?

I've attached what you need, courtesy of MrSmith317. If you ever do need to relock you'd just need to get another unlock token from HTCdev to unlock again.
But you will most likely end up needing this for some sort of flashing at some point.
I think you only have to relock to run the ruu. You shouldn't have to with the updates since they are flashed in the stock recovery. The ruu being flashed through hboot requires relock.

So you have an unlocked phone and you want to get the OTA, correct? What ROM and kernel are you running?
That error you got, was that trying to run the RUU? Which one? 1.x or 2.x?
running cleanrom ICSE 2.3
kernal 3.0.13-gaf15497-dirty
i flashed stock recovery, relocked device and was stuck at hboot..couldnt get past it rebooting or anything..unlocked device and tried running the RUU exe..started up but error out saying it couldnt complete and my screen was left on HTC till i pulled battery...

What version RUU did you use? 1.x or 2.x? Did you try running it while the phone was locked? It needs to be locked when you run RUU. But you also can't go back to an older mainver and some ICS ROMs are on 3.x
Also can you check what mainver your phone is on? In fastboot type:
fastboot getvar all
running 2.0.1 and wrong RUU i guess since its 1x
Yeah, you need to run 2.x RUU. Get it from link in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22045045&postcount=58
That should fix you up. Then after you run that and get the OTA, unlock, flash Amon Ra (there's a new version posted to that thread today), go to the developer menu in Amon Ra and install su and you will be stock OTA rooted.

Stuck at white HTC boot screen after OTA update

Hi, did a stupid thing and did the OTA update without reading the forum. The first update went through but after the 2nd big update, my phone is stuck at the white HTC screen. My phone is HTCdev unlocked and was on stock GB. My hboot version is
Unlocked
Vigor PUT Ship S-On RL
Hboot 2.11.0000
eMMC-boot
Oct 6 2011
I've looked through the forums for a solution and so far I taken the following steps
1) I have tried to reflash through the hboot using rezound_AndroidPolice_3.14.605.12_PH98IMG.zip, but it won't reflash. It goes through the loading processing but at the end I don't get the do you want to update promt. It just brings me back to the fastboot, recovery, factory reset etc menu
2) Then tried reflash to stock GB (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1812084), that update worked I think since after the loading screen, it asked if I wanted to update and I clicked yes. But after that, still stuck at the white HTC screen
3) Did factory reset twice, once through hboot and then another time at the Recovery mode, still doesn't work
So now I'm completely lost in how to get my phone back to working state again. Any advice??
Thanks in advance.
Is your bootloader still unlocked? You can't take a stock rom with an unlocked bootloader. You have to relock it first.
If you can get to Fastboot, run "fastboot oem lock"

I have the Andriod SDK installed, so can you clarify what exactly do I right click and also how can I check if I do have the stock recovery flashed?
I've figured out how to use fastboot, but when I connect by phone to my computer and run the lock command, it says its waiting for the device to connect. Any suggestions?
it means your PC did not recognise the phone in fastboot. install htc drivers (through HTC sync), connect phone to PC, reboot to bootloader and select fastboot. you can see it changes to fastboot usb
I'm on the same boat, but my phone was completely stock when I took the OTA.
I used this link to unlock my phone. You can use it as reference to relock it

[Q] Problem with rebuilding stock ROM [SOLVED]

Hey there,
I am trying to rebuild my stock ROM on my device.
I have currently installed Insert Coin 3.2.1 with CWM. Running fastboot on 1.17.401.1
I followed a tutorial which said first step relock HBOOT, second step use RUU to recreate the Stock ROM
But there is my problem because I can't relock HBOOT. If I try with fastboot oem lock, it says it is RELOCKED, but I can't get out of the Bootloader anymore until I unlock it again with the Unlock_code.bin. Even when I restart my phone it just starts in Bootloader again. I also can't start in Recovery after locking Bootloader.
When I just try to apply the RUU without locking the Bootloader, which is the correct version for my device (RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_HTC_Europe_1.17.401.1_Radio_3.1204.168.32_release_299688_signed) it says wrong version.
What can I now do to recreate the stock ROM?
Thanks for your answers.
EDIT: Maybe it helps that it says 'Security warning' right under RELOCKED in the bootloader.
Relocked = locked
You can't flash an ruu without being locked
And why do you need the stock ROM?
Slithered from my HTC One X+
I need the stock ROM to return the HTC to Amazon, because there is a huge blue dot like a softbrush in the top middle of the display, and I can't return it flashed with a Custom-Rom
I found a tutorial to recreate the Stock-Rom using the right version of the RUU.exe and executing it with the phone running while relocked.
Is there another way to recreate the Stock-ROM?

[Q] Unroot and lock bootloader

Hey guys. Yes I have searched, but have only found instructions so far for going back to stock gingerbread.
I need to send my amaze in to get fixed under warranty, and I'm assuming they won't like it if I send them the phone with an unlocked bootloader, rooted, and CM10 installed, and that's what I need help with. How can I reinstall stock ICS, unroot, and lock the bootloader of the amaze? And will it show as "relocked" or "locked"? Of course I plan on putting the root and unlocked bootloader and CM10 once I get it back, so I'm looking for a reversible way to do this. Thanks in advance!
Just to be clear. For your bootloader to say 'locked' you'll need to have S-Off and NOT unlock the bootloader again. But once that's done just flash the ICS ruu. Here's a link

Thank you. So I am S-ON right now. In order to make the bootloader say "locked" again to make HTC happy with my warranty, I'd have to be stuck with ICS and whatever updates HTC decides to give us from then on once I got it back from HTC?
No. That's the only way for it to say "locked" if you relock it it will say "relocked"
So if you really want it to say "locked" you'll need to S-Off first. Then flash the RUU.
Once you get it back you can do as you feel.

What makes you think you will be stuck with anything? Everything u need to do is reversible and then re-doable.
Im just not really sure which part u think would make it stuck. Let us know and im sure we can explain the cofusion
After unlocking the bootloader with S-ON and installing a custom recovery/rom how do you revert to Stock.
I've tried relocking the bootloader, and using the AllinOneToolkit by Hanson to install the Factory RUU but it keeps failing after the HTC boot logo appears and the zip RUU file gets transferred to the phone. Keeps saying Failed with 12 signatures or something.
Then I read with S-ON that you had to use Hanson's tool and perform Fix Mainver, but that doesnt do anything either. Keeps saying, error cannot find device.
So, how do I go back to Stock?
Would appreciate any help!
Boot into fastboot, type "fastboot OEM lock" in the command prompt. Put the appropriate RUU on your external SD card and rename it PH85ING.zip and boot into bootloader.
Edit: its PH85IMG.zip. sorry about my fatty fingers. Also, make sure to check the md5 sum on the RUU. I always had trouble with the download.

[Q] Problem When updating with RUU (HTC one M7)

Hi guys,
My phone is a AT&T HTC One 64GB. I rooted and flashed a custom rom few weeks ago. Today I wanted to unroot the phone so I followed the instructions and downloaded the RUU file for AT&T as well. After relocking the bootloader I tried flashing the RUU which started pretty smoothly. One thing I noticed was the image version of my phone and the downloaded file was different. The version in my phone was 1.26.502.6 and the downloaded file was 1.26.502.12. I proceeded with the installation. Which started ok and the phone had its HTC logo lighted up, but after about 20 minutes the installer showed a message saying error and stopped working.
Do you think I should retry doing this or find a file with the same image version and flash it ?
I tried Unlocking my bootloader after this again but it did not work. cmd freezes.
Please help me out..
Thanks,
Did you flash the stock recovery prior to running the ruu? I think this is required in addition to locking the boot loader.

Sure.,
When I flashed the ruu I got an error message and my phone froze where the HTC logo comes during the flashing process.
I tried restarting my phone using the power button but it did not restart and I just plugged it to my wall charger and the phone went back to the bootloader which said "ruu" intend of the normal fields in the boot loader.
Then I tried restarting again and it worked and I tried to go to the bootloader on the restart and I was back to my bootloader. Tried unlocking the bootloader so I can restore the phone but it didn't work either.
I switched off the phone and charged it till the battery was full and then tried unlocking the bootloader, then it worked, flashed the restore and got my phone running.
I relocked the bootloader and tried flashing the ruu then it worked, and that's how I did it.
