This is the HTCCamera.apk and media_profile.xml from This Thread What I did is added the other features thanks to SteelH's guide here. The Guide says you have to edit "DisplayServicer.smali" which isn't right, it's actually "DisplayDevice.smali". Also needed to edit the .line in order to get it to work with the 15K Camera... AnyWhoo....
9-16-11:
Built from 2.3.4 HTCCamera.apk, which fixed green tint issues.
I *think* it will still have the 0% compression and higher quality as well. in the flashable zip (yes, flashable zip added too!) I added the modified media_profile.xml....I'm hoping that is all that is really needed to increase quality. testing is needed, leave feedback with any findings please!
What's it do?:
Based on "CameraMOD 3D" by ErosizeD which already offered:
Higher quality 15mbps Video recording for 480p and 720p.
0% JPG Compression for better picture detail.
Panorama Option
What I added:
Upped Front Camera to 2mp
Added ISO 1250 option.
HDR Added
Scene Selection. (Close up, Night, Snowy, etc. etc.)
Known bugs:
Toggling Shutter sound in menu doesn't do anything. Sound doesn't work either way.
Dunno why, they are there. Just won't work. *shrug*
So, that is what I did instead of sleep... if anyone notices any more bugs let me know and I'll pretend I know how to fix them. haha!
Install Instructions:
unzip folder to desktop (or on phone using AndroZip or something.)
Move HTCCamera.apk to /System/app/ using Root Explorer or similar. OR, ADB push HTCCamera.apk to /system/app (before doing this, backup your current Camera app...PLEASE!)
fix permissions. ( rw-r--r-- )
move Media_profile.xml to /system/etc (backup first) or ADB push.
fix permissions ( rw-r--r-- )
Just flash attached zip!
Older version.(NON-Flashable.)
Link: Older, non-flashable Camera
sounds great can't wait to try it thanks
trying it now will report back soon, thanks for your work.
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using XDA App
I like this, it is nice to be able to increase the quality of the front Camera because I actually do a lot of video calling. I also noticed that it flips my front Camera back right side up. I can't wait until someone unlocks full 1080P ability because i know it in here somewhere and I remember using a EVO 3D Camera app on my OG EVO that had the setting for 1080P. Nice job and keep it up.
would any care to make a flashable zip for this? id love to have but i always mess up when it comes to pushing things via adb(idk why lol)
Camera shutter sound works, you must be missing the ogg file. Its in sys/media/audio/ui....camera_click.ogg. Thanks for the mod works great, hope that helps you out. Here's a link to the ogg file, just drop in that directory and reboot.

I used Root Explorer no problem. Just make sure you fix Permissions accordingly.

Really? In SYS/media/audio/UI ? And not SYSTEM/media/audio/UI ?
Because that is where all my camera sounds are, in system and they aren't playing.

That's right I should have spelled it out, don't know what else it could be. Mines working just fine with this mod, maybe another mod that removes it.

Whats up Steel? Yes, I just used this mod myself(with the files posted) and everything is working including shutter sound. Any ideas as to why its not working for others?
No clue really. The mod simply disables forcing the sound on, which puts the on/off toggle back in the menu.
I would love to find out how he set JPEG compression to 0, I've been looking for that for days now.

Dear friends
This is my first post so please be easy on me.in snapdragon processor based hand sets the sound profiles are situated in system-etc-mixerpath_xml. where as in exynos octa core(G900h) the sound files are situated in system-etc-default_gain.conf. so use root explorer and open in text editor and where ever you see speaker or ear piece or headset and add 1 or 2 digits. don't add more than that. for eg. if it is 126 then make it 128. that"s it. after that save and exit then reboot. that's all. enjoy the good sound.
caution- please dont increase the values more than 3 otherwise u will screw your speaker.thank you

Thanks for the hard work, I don't get this instal and reinstall? but please confirm the following:
Flash the op6_v5_stereomod in twrp,

Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your work!
There are applications that output sound depending on the proximity sensor (for example, watsapp, telegram). You turn on the voice message, bring the phone to your ear and the sound from the external speaker switches to conversational (that could be heard in public places).
Is it possible to implement it in your fashion or is it technically impossible?
Is it any difference between this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/themes/magisk-stereo-speaker-mod-oneplus-6-t3814512
And u r mod
It literally says EXACTLY what the differences are in the main post dude!
- AML support
- Unity support
This basically means:
- This can work flawlessly with other audio mods.
- This can work with or without Magisk.

Try to create app like op5t stereo mod which helps to control sound parameters like mono, true stereo etc
Sorry to say this but providing any form of GUI or additions to the mod isn't really in the scope of what I set out to achieve here.
The code, however, is freely available on GitHub using the link from the main post - I'm more than happy for anyone to fork the code and add any additional functionality they wish to.
My aim here is simply to provide AML support so things like Atmos, ViPER, etc. can be used seamlessly alongside the mod. I also converted the mod to use "patch" instead of just overwriting the file and switched to Unity so that it could support being flashed directly for those not wishing to run Magisk.
Confirm this is working flawlessly together with ainur sauron & viper4android. Awesome mod for our device! Thank you very much!

Do any of these audio mods actually improve speaker quality? The speaker crackles at high volumes right out of the box. Would love to improve it, but wiping to unlock bootloader only seems worth it if there's a noticeable difference

Some of the mods can have a considerable amount of effect on the audio quality but things like Atmos are not going to resolve any audio "popping" or distortion. ViPER may be able to help mitigate the issue.
The purpose of this mod, however, is actually just to enable the earpeace speaker as a secondary speaker so instead of just the one mono speaker at the button - you have a kind of stereo effect (i.e. 2 audio sources.)
I'm sure others can guide better on which specific ViPER settings may help with the issue you're facing but it may be worth tinkering if you're passionate about resolving the issue. That having been said - unlocking the bootloader and rooting does lose you OTA functionality so it's something to keep in mind.
How can permanent increase earpiece volume? If I increase it with ex kernel manager I turns back to normal after switching to standby
What is "AML" and there I get the aml module? ?

You can change these values in a kernel manager. Also i think you'll need a custom kernel.

Hi, if you use the headset as a second speaker, you feel a difference, it is not the big difference but you feel it. It can give you more profit, but if you listen to music with a lot of bass it could saturate and break.
Where else I notice the difference is when listening to the audios of whats app, which in case you hear quite low, with the mod it improves a lot and you hear a little more !!

Lower the volume of it was the earpiece because it isn't designed to withstand crackles and buzzes...
Your options is disable any amplifier on the phone, unless you can control what can be amplified then disable for earpiece...
But from what I understand... Buzz and crackles coming from Speaker... The mod has nothing to do with the speaker...
However, the mixer may by coincidence happen to have the same name... But not necessarily same contents...
Sure the earpiece is working and ta ta ta...
But you don't know what else you'd find out to be abnormal...
Compare both stock mixers...
Your custom ROM and this one...
If they're not the same...
Have fun learning how to make the MOD :silly:...

Possibly the personalization of the arrow takes into account several audio modes, so this mode will not work. It is not compatible with some audio mod.

Thanks sir it also works for me...
In havoc is 2.1 pie
Se puede instalar en pixelexperience
Estoy usando el android 9 de pixelexperience, me gustaria saber si puedo instalar este mod en mi telefono?
Hi everyone!
With this thread I want to present to you a cool mod I created, nicely packed inside of a Magisk module.
This module enables PseudoStereo on our Le Max 2, effectively enabling the earpiece to output media audio alongside the main speaker.
Since the speakers are not positioned left and right, and do not have the same output volume, a true stereo effect cannot be achieved, hence both speakers put out both L and R channels simultaneously.
Unfortunately, the Le Max 2's earpiece speaker isn't that loud, so the effect is *really* subtle, even though it becomes a little more noticeable the higher the volume is.
I could increase earpiece gain, but that would distort the sound and probably wouldn't be healthy for the speaker itself (you can do it yourself if you want, but I don't recommend it).
I thought I would make this since I found some people around searching, like me, for a mod of this kind.
The module replaces a file inside the vendor partition, hence it has been tested by me on the following Treble ROMs: AOSP Extended, AICP, AOSiP and RevengeOS.
Does it work on non-treble ROMs? Probably not, at least for now, but you can always try.
Not working on stock ROM, neither AOSP Extended with EUI-Audio zip flashed. Working on it!
This mod can work in conjunction with other audio mods (Arise, Viper, Dolby), provided you install it first, before installing them. (Thanks to @lucian1983 for testing this)
Changelog:
Code:
- v1.2 - Fixed a problem where no sound would come out from the earpiece when an audio message was being played through it;
- Default volume is now 92, earpiece sounds a bit louder;
- Added a new zip file (namely HighVolume) which raises default volume to 100 [B](WARNING: could distort, especially with bass-heavy music)[/B].
- v1.1 - Fixed a problem where the earpiece would keep outputting media audio even if headphones are connected.
- v1 - Initial release
Hope you enjoy!

I flashed it through magisk manager ,it did not work for me.also tried through twrp clearing cache but no effect noticeable.
Hi thanks for the mod. It's working in RevengeOS.
I think it would be even better if earpiece was louder at low volume. That would make it more noticeable.
Edit: Sound comes from earpiece even when headphones connected. Please fix this ?

If you're on AEX it should work... Viper shouldn't interfere, but try to disable it temporarly.
Also, try to higher the volume, maybe it's just because it's not that noticeable (not much I can do about this).
Edit: just noticed you're using EUI audio, that may be the culprit, I'm going to check and see if it needs something to make it compatible.

I would suggest to make an offset fpr the Ear Piece so its earlier at max volume.

I uploaded it first to Drive and here is the link. For some reason I cannot send it directly through xda app. Hope it helps. https://drive.google.com/file/d/12M0Bghy4F4TyYvaSs28-5mvZkJukaIqB/view?usp=drivesdk

Ok, so probably EUI audio is the problem here. Going to look into it.

Works on RevengeOS ! Even though the Ear Piece is pretty quiet.
I would suggest to make an offset fpr the Ear Piece so its earlier at max volume.
Great work so far! Was looking a long time for a mod like this! :good:

Thank you for the suggestion!
I'll see what I can do with that.
(Been looking for this myself too until I made it haha)
New Update v1.1
Hey guys, I did some modifications and it seems like headphones are working correctly now with no audio being sent to the earpiece.

Did you just modify the Mixer Paths.xml ? or how did you realise the sound output ?

Yep, it's that for now, until and if I manage to find another, more flexible way.
I raised the "RX0 Digital Volume" to 100. It's working pretty fine for my Device without any distortion :good:
Any how I will also try to find a way to offset the Earpiece Volume !

That's quite strange, on my phone with that value set above 90 the audio would distort a lot, especially with volume set mid to high.
But if it works for you then it's all good!
And tell me if you find a way faster than me haha, thanks for the help, in the meantime I could just make a second module with that value if someone wants to try...
