Unroot and downgrade LG G2 Mini
I have a LG G2 Mini device that has been rooted. After root procedure I updated it to Lollipop through FOTA and discovered that the update screwed up my whole device. There is a way to cancel the root and downgrade back to version 4.4.2? I have no problem to wipe the device. All I want is to downgrade back to KitKat as fast as possible...

I have rooted with towelroot and installed supersu.
After a while I did a full unroot with supersu and uninstalled both. Then an official security update came and it installed just fine but now I get a 0x1111004 error (this device is suspected in rooting) when I try to install L.
I am a complete noob, so could you please point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
you need to flash 4.4 kdz then ota or straight to 5.0.2 kdz
because lg root security detected that you had root

And I need to flash my exact version, right? Is this guide still good? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45293512&postcount=1
yeah
but use kdz for g2m not g2
https://twitter.com/lg_firmware?lang=pl - search for the one that suits you (ofc d620r model)

Thanks a lot for replying. I just did it with no issues. Just one more question. In case I want to revert back to 4.4 do I simply flash the previous version or are there factors to consider?

You can, but you have choose "CSE Flash" instead of "Normal Flash"
Can I use LGUP to flash the .kdz for marshmallow over my rooted lollipop image using upgrade option in LGUP? Yes I want to lose root. I miss android pay to much.
Yes, as long as it's the whole .kdz image and not the update it will do a complete wipe of your phone to factory.

1. Get root and TWRP (LGOneClickRootRecovery) ---> https://www.dropbox.com/s/2shvozzbu29xjfu/LGG2-D802-OneClickRootRecoveryV1.1.zip?dl=0
2. Go to TWRP and update TWRP by flashing zip file ---> http://www.gregtwallace.com/lgg2-projects/twrp/?version=3.1.0-1
3. Go to TWRP and wipe everything except internal storage
4. Flash LineageOS 14.1 & Gapps ----> https://download.lineageos.org/d802 & http://opengapps.org/
5. Reboot system
Edit: i tested it only on my lg d802 so u have to look for files for your device
Edit: backup your data before
Thanks, I bought a used G2 today and these links were very useful to me.

stock recovery mean doesn't flash Twrp or CWM anyway you can download KDZ (rom LP ) and flash it by LG up or LG flash tool
Thanks, this is really great and i'll use soon... The only thing i think that isn't there its and advice from backup of EFS partition at least the first time (for noobs)
Please do not use this if you have an ATT variant... This guy doesn't mention this is for T-Mobile only.
Thanks mate, it worked perfectly. +1000000

Hello ! You have to flash D802 version and D806 modem because if you dont do that you will have loss of total signal when its 4G and you have to reboot (my experience)... And LineageOS have random reboots with F2FS... Thats all i think
Well, for some unknown reason OneClickRecovery didn't do it's job properly and when I rebooted to go into recovery it actually did a factory reset and I lost all my valuable data. Worked second time but I'm so fcked now.

do you still need help?
Does your bootloader status matter when doing this or is it somehow solved by the tool? Also, can you flash Resurrection Remix (Nougat) using the same method?
Hi !
I'm from france, and I've just received an old LG G2 D802 on Android 5.0.2.
The previous owner of the phone told me that it was rooted, but the application "root checker" says the contrary.
In order to be sure, do I need to do a reset, or can I just simply start this procedure ?
Also, does the TWRP update is mandatory, because the last version of TWRP recovery on their website is 2.8.7.0, it is not sufficient ?
Thanks !

There may be a simpler way than trying to unroot and accept an OTA firmware update. Look for the your firmware update here: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h850-firmwares/ Download the latest KDZ file for your G5 and flash it with LGUP. Since you'll now be on stock G5 firmware, you'll need to flash twrp-3.1.1-0-h850 via fastboot and then root via TWRP. I install all my firmware updates this way and it has always worked for me.

The G5 firmware at the link is arranged by geographical region and carrier. My G5 is a Great Britain one from EE, so I use the EEE KDZ files for it. If you don't know your region, you can browse through build.prop for the information.

i could use it too. i want to root my lg v10 and need the backup firmware in case something goes wrong. did you ever root yours, and how did u do it? i see tutorials on using a bunch of b.s, but from my understanding, this phones bootloader is already unlockable. so, wouldnt fastboot oem unlock, then flash twrp and supersu work? thanks

Installed V30c from here with no problems, using LGUP.
Used it to recover my phone from brick.
I was rooted and custom recovery on V30c and accidentally accepted OTA for v30d.
Then I was stuck on bootloop in TWRP. I flashed stock recovery and that was it.
Then I lost root and wanted to relock bootloader. After relocking, it was a very big mess.

Hello, i can see many different Region options to download. I can download from TMF, TMI, TMO or TMZ. Did you use TMO which i understand could stand for T-Mobile?
Ok, i ended up downloading 30D from Android File Host and it worked fine.
H90130d is the latest one....
