I have seen a lot of people not getting batter battery life on AOKP, AOSP, CM, HYBRID or STOCK ROMs....
So I thought of setting up this step by step guide to set up the phone with very good battery life.
1. Flash the ROM that you would like to use. (AOKP,AOSP, CM, HYBRID or even STOCK)
2. After flashing the rom, reboot the phone and set it up.
3. If your custom Kernel supports any of the following settings than it will be good as well
CPU & GPU - Undervolt 100mV (If your phone can handle it, I have done it since day one never had problems. )
CPU IDLE MODE - AFTR + LPA
Zram - you can use swap partition on Sd Card or swap file. both are great.
Governer settings - FREQ_LIMIT_SLEEP - 500 Mhz
4. IF YOU ARE USING 4.3+ ROM than - Go to Settings>wifi>Options>Advance> UNCHECK "Scanning always available". Also uncheck NFC services in settings.
5. If you are not using location services all the time than you can do the following as well and you can enable the location services whenever you need them.
Go to GOOGLE SETTINGS APP>Location> UNCHECK "Access Location"
google settings app>maps & lattitude. UNCHECK "report from this device"
6. Install SYSTEM TUNER PRO with GREEN ICON from market.
This is the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.pmw.pro
7. Follow the guide in my video. The link is below: It will remove useless wakelocks from apps like google wallet, google talk, google plus, IF YOU ARE NOT USING THEM.

8. Install Greenify and Greenify Donation. Links are below:
You need to install XPOSED FRAMEWORK for the Donation app to work.
Greenify: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify
Greenify Donation: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify.pro
Xposed Framework: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327541
9. Greenify all user apps and some of the system apps.
System apps that I have greenified:
google contacts sync
google play services
network location
nfc service
android keyboard
bluetooth share
browser
calender storage
cell broadcast
certificate installer
com.google.android.voicesearch
DRM protected content storage
exchange services
google account manager
google bookmark sync
google partner setup
google search
google text to speech engine
html viewer
key chain
market feedback agent
media storage
one time init
org.codeaurora.bluetooth
package access helper
package installer
pico TTS ( I use IVONA Voices)
10. Install 3G/4G Optimizer Pro and go to additional tweaks and check all the 4 of them and than reboot the phone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=provision.netspeed.optimizer.pro
We need pro version because it has some additional tweaks for wifi scan, RILS, TCP which saves battery a lot.
11. This step is going to take few minutes of observation.
In the new greenify app there is an option to CUT the connection of the app that is waking up the services.
Now for example,
I am using swift key keyboard not the android keyboard that comes with the rom, but android keyboard also wakes up GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES and keeps it running, so I cut the wake-up path. So now android keyboard will not wake-up GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES.
SO you need to find out which apps are waking-up the system apps and cut the wake-up paths IF THE APP IS NOT IMPORTANT.
12. Go to setting>MORE> DISABLE NFC Services.
13. Download ROM tools box pro
Go to build.prop Editor
change the value of PM Sleep mode>to 1
If you dont have this line than add it.
And Reboot.
-screen time 3 Hrs with 60% brightness
-Mobile Data, Sync and Bluetooth on around 7 Hrs 30 Mins
-Battery Drain during Night for around 8.30 PM to 6.00 AM - 3% to 4%
CREDIT goes to all of the developers of ROM, MODs, and APPs...
Hi!
Greenify hibernates all apps, even the ones that are active (in my case runtastic and music player)
Before this bug: runtastic and music player active while jogging -> screen off -> all apps beside those too get hibernated
Now: runtastic and music player active -> screen off -> ALL apps get hibernated
Please fix it.
I think it's cm12.1 related.
Tried with Greenify 2.6.2 and 2.7.x all betas.
Still the same.
Edit: could this be the cause?

Same problem here.
Running CM 12.1 August 16 nightly and getting Spotify hibernated while playing.
I believe there should be another commit in CM which breaks Greenify's ability to detect running apps.
Probably we should continue discussion in this thread.
The issue has been fixed in version 2.7 beta 8.
Many thanks to @oasisfeng for quick solution!

I have beta 8 right now and it works for Google music.
Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk
I just did a 5 mile run and it shows as 1.8 miles. Every time I use Greenify my runs are jacked up
I had the issue, that Greenify 2.9beta3 killed my TTS (Text-To-Speech), TTS fell back to Pico (Samsung, not very good) then.
So I uninstalled the Beta (left the beta program) and installed 2.8.1 (not-beta).
Now it works again.
Anyway with the 2.9b3 there was some notification terror, which wasnt possible to disable constantly in the settings. I had to disable all notification of Greenify app in the system settings to get rid of this annoying stuff. Just Beta it is.
Samsung Galaxy S4 with CM12.1
EDIT: I uninstalled Greenify completely, when I noticed that it uses about 100 MB RAM itself.
I use nite the small Xposed module "prevent running". Much easier and smaller and does the same.
I am using Greenify standard version (non-donation) with experimental features ticked on my rooted Xperia ZR 4.4.4. KitKat Sony stock ROM running Android phone with Xposed installed and Greenify module enabled.
Wakelock Detector shows Pushbullet (com.pushbullet.android) as the number one offender with x391 (2 m 47 s).
On trying to put Pushbullet into hibernation it always fails with the above error (Failed to put "Pushbullet" into hibernation) which appears as a pop-up toast.
I do NOT need Pushbullet to be running all the time because my use for that application is only once in a while.
What am I missing here?
NOTE : I have also seen similar behaviour while trying to hibernate KDE Connect which I eventually uninstalled.

Is Pushbullet running as a System app? Or may be it requires the donation version of Greenify.
No. It is a user app as far as I know.
I have only done a standard install.
I remembered that I have an app called Disable Service installed. Turns out Pushbullet has more than 50 services registered out of which Notification Mirroring Service was active. On disabling that, I am able to successfully hibernate Pushbullet.
It is a small loss, but may be good in the end.
I've installed a floating app from Play Store which keeps on crashing after 10-15 minutes. Same app is running without any issues on my older Honor 6x.
I've disabled all battery optimisation and floating app permission is enabled. Earlier when I used to reset system setting then it used to work for a week but now it keeps crashing.
Any settings which I can change to avoid app from crashing?
Hi
I've been searching for days now for information about this bug (feature?) without any insights.
Every time I launch a game (PUBG mobile), it launches with game turbo, which automatically disables google sync, which then can only be reactivated manually.
I tried disabling the game turbo optimization settings, and eventually totally disabling the game turbo, without success.
Has anyone encountered that issue?
I have MIUI 11.0.5.
Thanks in advance!
