Im really starting to regret buying this product.
I have been waiting 5 days for an unlock code for this phone. 2 providers tell me the "Huawei" servers are down?!?
Is there another way to get a SIM unlock code for this phone?
*sorry frustrated - never seen anything like this*

Huawei doesn't to sim unlocks. Just bootloader unlocks.

SIM unlock. So far I have tried 2 providers of unlock code online and both have said "Huawei servers are down, here is your refund".
Bootloader unlock is also not happening. I have sent multiple polite emails starting last Thursday, and the form keeps giving me the following error: "Sorry, you must use a phone account to submit this application." I'm from Canada...not sure why that would make a difference. I am not the only one getting this error in the Huawei forums.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!

why do you need a sim unlock. this phone already works on att, tmobile and other similar networks
is your MT2-L03 from gethuawei.com or somewhere else?

because I want to use it on a different network than the ones listed. This MT2-L03 is locked to Wind Mobile and I want to use it with Koodo Mobile. Wind Mobile is also saying Huawei servers are down, they're probably busy checking their stock devaluation.

then more reading is needed on your part. wind mobile and consumer cellular phones are not exactly the same as standard MT2_L03 from gethueawei.com. the unlock tool will not work for you as far as i know. you may want to check into converting your phone to stock MT2-L03, information is posted on this forum.
Good luck

I did that link too. Posted there too (leroadrunner). It did not work.
So the steps I found for converting from consumer cellular to MT2-L03 are
1) unlock (this is where I am stuck until Huawei answers my emails....looks unlikely at this point, its been a week - call support? does that exist...I'll look).
2) root,
3) install TWRP,
4) flash the normal MT2-L03 zip

Thanks for the help moody but I found that url through other threads on here, however I had no luck with it while inputting my product ID, it told me it was invalid.
And I'm almost certain the product ID is correct..... typed *#*#1357946#*#*
I read on another forum that the product ID works only when it's with a stock based or stock roms
I got this phone from WIND (canada), so maybe my phone iddn't come with stock based?

Ya I definitely have the IMEI (matches from the battery to the settings, 15 digits)
S/N back of the phone (16 digits/alphabets)
and product code from typing the numbers into settings. (8 digits)
I used those initially and it idnd't work with the unlocking tool on their site. (gives me "Please input the correct Product ID.")
However when you told me to check the status of the phone it gave me a 12 digit number/alphabet for a serial number....I wonder what that number does

Hello all,
Just purchased LG K7 (Walmart Family Mobile variant, model# K330) and tried to unlock for use on T-Mobile now that all WFM phones are SIM locked. Received a code from cellunlockerpro but the instructions to unlock (2945#*model number#”) don't work to open the dialog box needed to enter the code. Phone has a pre-installed unlock app which checks the eligibility prior to unlocking. Is there anyway to bypass the app and go through the dialer or service menu to unlock somehow? Thanks for any information/advice.
I bought the same phone yesterday for the same purpose. You need to search the forums, and download lgup, lgup_k330 T-Mobile, and WEB_K33010h_00 T-MOBILE.kdz. Follow instructions on the install, and flash that file. It will boot back up connected to T-Mobile. No unlock code needed.
Let me add as I am sure you know I had rooted, and unlocked the bootloader.

Okay, so if I flash this .kdz to the MetroPCS (ms330) variant using LGUp then I will be network unlocked or have switched networks to TMobile from MetroPCS; bypassing the factory installed device unlock application which was originally on the MetroPCS K7? Forgive me Im trying to verify before I attempt this.

Its possible, but more likely that you would just brick your phone if you tried flashing a firmware that wasnt for your exact model phone. Mostly because they use the partitions for different things. Never a good idea to flash firmware onto your phone thats not actually for your phone.

Every phone i have get from metro I unlock and still have piled up just in case I or someone needs one loll. I have everything from galaxy avant to core prime to LG k7. I would guess it would be less work for them. Figure they receive the firmware from LG and then put all there bloat and crap on it and then send the ota vs sending it back to LG to most likely upload to there server. It's been a while since I've been on a non nexus device so I coluld be wrong but either way the slow updates compared to google suck. Guess I got spoiled

it CAN be done by choosing PARTITION DLL in LGUP, and then select all to flash. Format data when you get stuck on LG logo or encounter Android down on first boot. Then the system will boot normally. The Oreo for AS998 also CAN be flashed that way. Comfirmed with a few user friends.

He's telling you how to convert your phone to an AS988 and have Oreo. The AS988 has a public KDZ not being kept secret like the LS988.
Are you actually using Sprint? Most people on here -- for reasons I don't understand at all -- buy problematic Sprint phones but don't actually use Sprint as their carrier.

As far as I know LG Bridge is disabled for LS998. I have a Sprint V30+ and have yet to get it to connect to my phone. Could be a user end error on my part but I have seen others report that it is disabled from carriers.

No they actually locked it down. I got with sprint a while back and they disabled that feature for whatever reason

Does anyone have a mirror or personal link to CRK1 or CRL1 odin files? I need to revert my phone for insurance purposes.

Oh ok, was confused. I reverted from drl7 to crk1. Now I need to revert again. Crk1 to an unlocked firmware.*I originally purchased unlocked then flashed AT&T so I could use wifi calling. Anyway, I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't get back to unlocked firmware.

There is a thread around here somewhere that explains how to flash unlocked.

Yeah I followed it exactly, no luck. Weird thing is, I had no problem flashing from unlocked to at&t. No luck going back though

I wonder if it's the bootloader preventing it

Could be. Do you know how I can look into that?

Just gotta look around to see if the updated bootloader prevents you from rolling to different firmwares.
