This is a twrp flashable Rooted version of the newest CM13 update number ZNH2KAS254
Screens:
The only other change made to it other than being twrp compatible is that it is rooted with SuperSU
For GPL reasons I am required to say that this is the stock update with no changes made to the kernel, all source for this kernel would be found via cyanogens release of it.

Yes they pulled it but I can't find a reason.
Has anyone flashed and really put it through the paces? If so can we get some feedback about how its running and what the bugs are. Someone anyone? Tia!
Really changes? I downloaded official full ROM and flashed with twrp with no problems and rooted automatically by twrp.

If you were able to do that then you don't need to flash this. Twrp wouldn't flash it for me so I used the assert lines from a cm12.1 nightly, and then added the superSU flashing

So anyone that is running this Rom noticed any bugs? Anything not working right? Anything new compared to cm12.1? Any comments on how its running? Any info would help since CM has pulled it I was wondering what the issue was to make them take it off the rollout.

last I tried multi-window (on another device), i believe each "side" of the split-screen is "standalone"
(i.e. you have google maps on the left side of the screen, gmail on right. If you try to click on a hyperlink on google maps, chrome (or whatever your default browser is) will open up on the left replacing google maps)
wonder if it's possible to open chrome up on the right, so you get "better" multi-window/multi-tasking because your original app and "newly launched" apps are running side by side

i don't own a LG G Pad
as long as you already have a custom recovery installed (which requires initial root), and have a nandroid backup on the device itself AND on your computer, you should be fine
ask the other people who've already flashed it
I'm using almost the same device tree from CM11 (only need to convert the CM file structure-> omni file structure, no other changes), so there shouldn't be any unexpected surprises when you flash the ROM

I stupidly did not flash St along with the multi window version and gapps. Now I can't get SU to work from the playstore. It says it needs to update binary but fails when it tries. I assume I need to flash the SU zip from my twrp recovery?
Anyone know how to get into recovery without root access? I was using a app that only works with root.

One thing I'm wondering. Is really flashing supersu through twrp sufficient to gain root? I've only hooked up my devices to run batch scripts in order to gain root so the idea of gaining root merely through flashing a zip is new to me.

TWRP should also warn you when you reboot TWRP after flashing a ROM without SuperSU...
Flashing the root update.zip will gain root.... TWRP/adb/fastboot is a lot easier than running batch scripts that use exploits (unless you are stock without TWRP, and you need exploit like Towelroot to intially root)

Systemless Root
Read this first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63197935&postcount=2
To summarize:
This is an experimental root process
[*]It needs an unlocked bootloader
[*]It needs the system to have no trace of any other superuser solutions
[*]This will patch the kernel RAMDisk to include the su binary
[*]Following that, all calls to execute commands as root will be handled from here
[*]This means no system partition modification
[*]This also means Android Pay works
[*]Since this is experimental, expect apps with hardcoded su calls to not work (blame the app developer)
[*]Also, there are bugs as Chainfire stated but it's been stable up until now
[*]I have not tried this on the XT1572 but it should work
Click to collapse
IMPORTANT!
You need to revert to completely stock/clean marshmallow without any SuperSU installed.
Installation Instructions:
Install the kernel patch - systemless_root.zip
Install SuperSU (systemless) - SuperSU v2.56
DO NOT INSTALL ANY OTHER SUPERSU MODULES
IGNORE ANY TWRP MESSAGES ABOUT SUPERSU or SU in general

I couldn't find any info anywhere how does systemless root benefit vs regular root by using the modified boot image? thanks!

From what I understand it allows you to root your phone without making any modifications to /system. So when a OTA is released you flash the stock kernel and accept the OTA. This assumes you've made no changes to /system once you gained root.
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
It's working great, I had to reinstall superSU from the play store as it was not showing up in the app drawer. Everything is working.
@alnikki25k BTW. Congratulation on the brilliant idea and implementation of a script that make the systemless root changes to the kernel, could this be used with another device?

worked so far.. flashed the stock odexed no root. rebooted and did quick gmail setup. Went back to TWRP and flashed the files for the kernel and SuperSU. When prompted by TWRP to install SuperSU after flashing the files I said do not install per instructions. Booted up and restoring with titanium as I type.
Next question would be if anyone was able to get xposed working with systemless root? Probably not going to take that plunge since I got root mainly for titanium and ad blocker.
Edit. All apps back. Running good. Not trying xposed yet. Android pay loaded no problem. Added cards no problem. Doing good so far
Tested on XT1572 , everything works flawlessly except es file explorer unable to request for su permission for some reason.

I can mount system but not vendor. What am I doing wrong?
Vendor is only created if you flash LineageOS 15.1 or LineageOS 16.0. Do that and restart.
I have a question to which I have never received an answer. but how do I remove the annoying unlocking every time I go into recovery. I always have to turn off and turn on the screen.

If you are using this recommended 9/19 Twrp, remember that its unofficial and that could be the reason you are getting the fetch error.
In my experience, that app works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. But you should still be able to backups from within the OS.

If you are using trebled Oreo or Pie , you need to be on this TWRP. ( 9/19) If you are using anything else : use this Twrp: https://twrp.me/leeco/leecolepro3.html
The syncing part of that app rarely works. Regardless, of what you have had installed. To the best of my recollection, I was able to get it to work maybe 2 or 3 times over a two year period using every rom that came available. On the other hand, the Gapps app works

Hello!
This ROM is for devices Jeter (Xt1922-7) & *NEW* Aljeter (Xt1922-5) and is based on our most current Pie security patches. For Jeter that is PCP29.118-67 and for Aljeter that is PPP29.55-35-18. Please do not flash these ROM's if you are not on this security patch currently whether it is by updating OTA or otherwise or on a device not listed. If you do, you may face unexpected results and I will not be able to help you. Flash at your own risk.
How to Flash:
Boot into TWRP and make a full backup first!
1.Place ROM on your external SD card and do a full wipe except external SD Card.
2.Flash ROM. Magisk is included with my Custom *modified builds and will flash with the ROM. Download the latest magisk manager.apk from the Play Store or XDA to use root features.
3.Flash DM verity+Force Encrytion disabler patch and if desired, Permissive SEpolicy patcher.
4.Go back to wipe section of twrp and format data by typing YES when prompted.
5.Reboot and ENJOY!
If a problem arises, I may need you to replicate it and upload a log.
ROM FEATURES:
Root via Magisk with safetynet passing with Magisk Hide.
Su.d Support
Busybox
SQlite Support
Zipaligned
Debloated
TWRP flashable zip
Please download and get back to me with the results. There are TWO VERSIONS for each device, one is a completely untouched and unrooted Stock ROM for new users or those who went too far modding and need to start fresh and the other IS rooted and has the features I listed above. Thank you for testing and your feedback.

I have no idea, I might try this ROM out, it looks fun. I've currently got mine on stock. Do you recommend clean flashing or dirty flashing the rom? Never mind, read through the post. Problem: I have no external storage. I generally use the TWRP and encrypted data fix by @skullkid383 to have access to my storage.

If you can link me to the fix I can incorporate it into the next build provided I am granted permission to do so
No probs, it was posted in the wrong section (as it was original development, not a guide) https://forum.xda-developers.com/g6-play/how-to/updated-g6-play-jeter-twrp-decrypt-guide-t3886165

I am, actually, wondering if I could try to install it in a way I'm used to, (wipe everything except internal storage, flash, install the encryption fix). I'll provide feedback on success or failure.

Excellent. Thank you for your help ?
A quick question, is this was built via a kitchen? If so, which kitchen did you use? I've not had much luck with using my go to while messing with making my own ROMs.

Encrypted data fix? None of the TWRP builds can decrypt data. The fix is to unencrypt your data partition. Is that what you're talking about? A zip that disables forced encryption? That's not really an encryption fix, it's removing forced encryption.
I will wait until this rom is made on 9.0 Stock before I start testing it as I've recently updated my Boost Mobile Jeter to 9.0

I have a 9.0 ROM available for testing as of this morning
Lemme get in on this. I can take a log, been fooling with ROMs for a long time, not like I used to, but I got a new job with ample free time to burn up

Thanks, I'll add that in and upload a new version shortly.
Edit: @madbat99 The ROM is using the same apns.conf currently so Virgin should already be supported. I compared them in Meld and they are identical. Is your LTE not working?

I figured it was in there if you used the stock one. Should be Sprint, Virgin, and Boost.
