[TW] Stock-UltraStock-Ultrapure-Deodexed/Debloated- T330NU-T330NUXAR1BOG1_XAR] 5.5.1 - Galaxy Tab 4 Android Development

Finally a Deodexed and Debloated Stock Touchwiz ROM for our T330NU
You will have to flash root since I have not injected a preroot, I wanted to keep UltraStock and Ultrapure to be as close to stock as possible and could not be done without
the Kernel that made this all possible from @moonbutt74
Instructions:
Download the ROM here:
Use Phil's Touch custom recovery found here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95887005526787123
Flashable with both TWRP and Philz Touch
UltraStock-Deodexed: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347803436
Ultrapure--For the Ultrapure experience almost completely Untouched: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347812624
UltraStock-DeKnoxed-DebloatedV4, for those who want a debloated experience: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347809297
Now reboot.. Allow 10 minutes to boot, it will seem like it will take FOREVER, but be patient it will work..
All Lollipop/ART ROMs take forever to boot, so just be patient
There are no bugs that I am aware of, however in the debloating process I incidentally removed the system fonts, you can readd them in the Display/Fonts Menu
Any issues please comment in the thread..
I will release 3 versions:
1) 100 percent stock Deodexed
2) Deodexed and Debloated
3) Deodexed, Debloated, and Desamsunged
This will be an ongoing project where mods and changes will be made over time as the they become available.

Ultrastock/Ultralite UPDATE 9-6-2015
T330NU-LP_DeKnoxed-DebloatedV4, Released! See OP
"T330NU-LP_UltraliteV5d Removed due to complaints of boot loops
Please give up to 7 mins, "I tested this myself, it takes anywhere between 4-7 mins tops, if it takes longer, your doing something wrong..
I have been sitting at this screen with my Galaxy Tab on a stand, testing builds over and over and over again.. Nothing I put up goes untested..
I will work on the extras, and maybe a popular app or 2
If you wish to COMPLETELY remove all Samsung content, try this script from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507931 I attached the script needed from that page.. All Credit for the script goes to @Kaito95

UPDATE!!!
For those who use TWRP, since I don't use it, I did make an install method that can be used in Recovery..
I created a dump/back up of my device in TWRP with out the Data partition.. Flash it in TWRP and it should give you what your looking for
Since its a dump, its already rooted and ready to go.. Just be sure to clear Dalvik and Cache.. before rebooting
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347805056
Just be sure your already on Lollipop before attempting, or you will end up in a bootloop
Its in zip format, do not flash the zip.. Unzip it, and just copy it to your SD card..
Install and enjoy..

Ok thanks

Are there any tuts out there for upgrading from rooted 4.4.2 to Lollipop (or something newer than what I have)? I got my SM-T330NU last year and rooted it right away using Towelroot. I'd like to update the Android version and keep root. I know how to update using the Samsung firmware and Odin but I won't want to lose root. My apologies if this should be asked or redirected to a different thread. I'm pretty decent with managning the ROMS on my GS3 and GS4 but can't find a ton of info on the T330NU and I don't want to brick it.
Cheers

In about an hour I will post a tutorial on how to flash from 4.4.2 to 5.1.1, I am uploading a custom Stock 5.1.1 image with a custom recovery to help with your upgrade..
Go to google play and download Titanium backup https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup It's my go to tool for backing up apps and restoring them. I suggest paying for the Pro version because it permits batch Jobs, instead of one app at a time.. You can for go this, and when you flash the image to which I will provide a complete tutorial, when 5.1.1 first boots, and it hang for about 6-10 mins, every device does this. Once the welcome screen comes up it will give you the chance to restore your device..
I'm uploading the Install Image now.. When it's done I'll let you know.. An hour.. its super slow uploading..
Once you have it, Ill walk you through it..

Awesome, thanks! I already have Titanium Backup Pro with all of my apps backed up ( I don't have a ton of apps on this device). I'm hoping the upgrade in software will help improve the performance of this as it's incredibly slow and laggy compared to my wifes Tab Pro (a MUCH better device). I got this one for free though so I'll take what I can get.

To be honest, I havent noticed much other than a Smoother Interface... Created a Deodexed version so I could Install Xposed, but there are no Xposed installs that work for this device yet due to lack of interest.. The Image is still uploading, you should know how to use the Custom Recovery... Work from there.. I'll post a full tutorial when its done..

1) If you are rooted, first things first.. Download Titanium backup from the Google Play, use it to backup all your apps, DO NOT BACKUP system apps, if you restore system apps from 4.4.2 you will brick your device.. So backup User Apps only..
2) Then Download the Samsung Stock 5.1.1 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95887005526787215 Save to your Desktop.
3) Download ODIN, which I attached below..
4) While in ODIN, Check AP, then select the ROM Image: T330NUUEU1BOG1_T330NUXAR1BOG1_HOME.tar that you downloaded. (Remember where you downloaded it to "Desktop") flash the ROM Image... It will reboot. It will take 6-10 mins at first boot, this is normal. You will not need to install a Custom Recovery because I included "Phil's Touch" in the Stock Image.
5) Once your booted up and ready to go and set up, Android will give you the opportunity to download all your previously installed Apps, wait for it to finish, then use Titanium Backup to restore your setting inside those restored apps, OR.. Just cancel the automatic restore and use Titanium back up..

I'll try this in the morning and let you know how I make out. Thanks.

No dice so far. I get into Odin mode, start the flash then it fails almost immediately when it starts the "aboot" part.

Ok, I probably didn't compile that correctly..
Try the 100 percent stock, but you will have to flash a Custom recovery "Phils touch"
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95887005526787215
That will work 100 percent

Enjoy being back on a normal stock rooted system without all the bootloader, root issues, and selinux garbage.
You are free to flash rom and mods once again without fear of bricking your Mega.

But what we will have at the end? Full rooted stock ROM MJ2 with MJ2 bootloader and without KNOX? And what about counter?

What you have at the end is Mj2 fully rooted, no selinux, no knox bootloader...gives you back the ability to flash roms and kernels which on the kernel for ml1 and up, you cannot do without getting a semi-hard brick due to knox bootloader kernel fuse. Plus, Ml1 and Ml4 are identical to Mj2, no new features, speed improvements, or ram management have been added, it was simply to add in the knox selinux and kernel fuse which is the worst part. I just finished my mh2 rom and v2 update for it, and was looking thru the code for the ml1 and ml4 to possibly make a rom, and make sure the custom kernel i'm building was compatible and realized these weren't updates or improvements, just junk forced on us by samsung that severly cripple our ability to customize our mega. I'm working on the selinux and knox apps are easily removed from in the rom itself, but there is no way around the 1024 bit kernel fuse. As for the warranty counter, it somehow made a partition untouchable even thru a decompile of the rom and kernel, at least at this point I've yet to even find this partition, and stays permenantly once tripped, even after removing the entire kernel and bootloader from the device. Its been 4 months and the note 3 still has no way around this either, so I merely put this out for those who want to get back to an open system to flash as they wish without the worry of bricking their mega and arent in depth at coding enough to pull themselves out. At least now theres an alternative that you can downgrade safely and relatively easily with. Take it easy,

From what you said I expected to find one packed file. Instead on your GD there are several files. It is not clear for me what to do - download them one by one and put in new folder (named i.e "Mj2&rootNObootloader") in /clockworkmod/backup on SD card? Be more specific in this point. Why don't you post whole folder to avoid misunderstanding?
And one more question - what REALLY is the kernel in system after flashing update with KNOX and then proceeding your fix?

Unfortunately you cannot download the entire folder at once like how I uploaded it so...
Download every file that's in the link...There's 11 total
Place them all in 1 folder together...All are tiny files except 2 system files
Put this folder called whatever sure mj2 restore in CWM backups folder

I don't know what you're REALLY asking lol? Are you trying to ask...what kernel is in the system after you update to ml1? Or after my restore? If ml1 you have a new kernel with Knox fuse and warranty counter..The 2 lines of 00 01 ect
After my restore you have mj2 kernel...sorry from your wording I'm just trying to guess and fill in what I think you mean

Thank you. Now I understand what you mean about kernel. The problem with Counter is made because of efuse in new ROM and counter is ticked during rooting attempt and getting CWM to system. After that you can remove ALL, but efuse is broken and counter is set... that I understand it... am I right in general?

Kinda...The efuse is what blocks us from flashing a kernel over top of the ml1 kernel and will literally brick your device...I did it just to test it...it wouldn't boot past this kernel lockout code...The warranty counter is different...it writes a one time write code somewhere in your system...In a partition hidden away that I cannot even find in my decompile, that basically goes from 00 to 01. I believe it's hidden as a partition in a boot cache or something as I removed everything entirely...had no system to even boot and it showed up 01 warranty.
While reverting back to mj2 with these files will remove the kernel fuse and new bootloader from ml1...that warranty flash 01 stays hidden somehow in a cache partition that can never be undone. Not really a big deal, it has zero effect just simply voids your warranty. The kernel fuse was the nasty beast that could do some serious damage.

It goes back to rooted stock mj2, custom status since rooted and keep cwm on there...then here's download mode...01 because once that's flashed there's no way to ever get back to 00...just to be clear this isn't my MegaFire rom...it's completely stock mj2 rooted...I should note also this is after I used these exact files to restore back after intentionally tripping the kernel fuse to 01 bricking my mega just to test my files and method before posting.

I literally did this 5 times yesterday just double checking it before I posted the method lol. I have sent about 20 people these in PM over these last few weeks and have restored them back to mj2 and several are now running my custom rom. Sorry I'm confused...yes it's a backup stock rooted mj2 to be restored in cwm. ..it replaces the ml1 kernel and rom allowing for flashing custom kernels and roms...yes its made for those who don't have an mj2 backup or who want an mj2 stock pre rooted...A backup restore is the only way back to mj2 as odin gives kernel fuse brick...no it does not get rid of new boot but since it restores old kernel the kernel fuse does not function so it doesn't matter...and sure I could throw a mj2 modem together but I kept ml1 modem since it was better... I got you...The new rom updates didn't bring any improvements only added the boot and Knox, warranty flash, kernel fuse, and selinux so its not really an update as the rest of the build are idnetical to mj2 with no improvements or new festures...but if you run stock it doesn't really make any difference I guess. But for anyone wanting to flash custom roms or kernels you can't on the new updates. But yea you can easily restore mj2 if you have a backup...I've had like 20 or 25 people ask me for the files before is why I did the post. Thanks Take it easy

Yea I'll double check that....I had a similar thought, but cannot even find a trace or any code that would link instructions to the warranty flash. It's like ghost code...but I just starting building a new rom last night based on ml1 so I'll be going over it again and again....As I won't upload it until I'm positive I broke the efuse which is the bad boy in this kernel,I already disabled selinux and Knox, but that kernel fuse and warranty counter are so well hidden it's insane...plus I'm putting together my own root kit for ml1 since vcore break wifi and most other methods are only partial root that you lose on reboot or granting root access...will let you know as things progress what I find. I do not know what's going on, but after downloading all 11 files in one folder, I see them only 8 Then after download 2 files from the second post, I have a total of 9 files But again as I want to download files, which do not see, it shows me that already have them. And now I do not know what to do.

Flashable nc5 or higher from mj4 running rooted twrp

trying to find a flashable nc5 file or higher while currently running on the old rooted mj4 with twrp. Trying to preserve my data that way I don't do to do a full reset. If anyone has a file that'll flash via zip from the twrp recovery, i'd greatly appreciate it. That and I don't really know what the proper steps are to do a proper update. Lots of info here, though it's usually starting off with something else and I'm confused.

Basically they would both work but you lose all your data. Anytime you Odin flash a stock OS (rom) it takes you back to bone stock and removes all your data ( i.e. pics, music, apps, and texts ect. . . ) like when you just bought the phone.
So what we are trying to do is find a flashable stock version or as close to stock as possible that can be flashed through your custom recovery where you can choose what to wipe and what to save. In this case your NOT going to wipe data, just wipe cache, dalvik-cache, and system do a dirty flash and try to save your personal data.
Let me see if I can find a copy of NH7.
OK checked out NC5 from Rwilco12 took an hour to download and it was not a useable version, will keep looking.
I am not able to find anything, your best bet at this point is to make a choice to stay where you are rooted mj4 or upgrade by going back to stock.
If you upgrade, to save your data connect the device to your PC. Copy and paste the DCIM, download, music, and video files to the desktop of your PC. Write down your apps on some paper, you will find you need a different version of your apps to run on the upgraded OS anyway so you will have to get them from the play store. Then go to my rom flashing basics and follow the instructions and get the link to Sammobile. This way you can download the version of the OS to your desktop you want Sammobile has them all. Make sure when you Odin flash the OS, you need to give it time to boot up !
It takes 3-5 min to boot the first time and ( sometimes it doesn't boot up DON'T PANIC ) this is normal. If it is caught in a boot loop just pull the battery, reinstall battery boot into download mode and Odin flash the OS again. It will boot the second time. Even if it boots the first time stop, boot into download mode and Odin flash the OS again.
You should always Odin flash a stock OS (rom) TWICE so you get a good clean install. Then install the right version of TWRP for the stock OS you have installed, then root and install your personal data back in the device ( connect device to PC and copy and paste data back in internal storage ).

Looking at your thread of "basics", it says twrp won't work. is that still current, or does it work now?
My understanding is if I want to go to the lastest OS (NC5 or NH7), download it, flash it, then flash it again and pretty much be done? Curious do I still get the hotspot mod back? (as I currently have it with rooted mj4)
gotta go back and find either of those two versions as rooted...
Can you check on your phone if you can download and install Hexo+ from the googleplay store? That's where I'm getting at. If it works under your 4.4.2 nc5 then maybe I don't need to go any higher unless I experience issues, then I'll upgrade again.
Thanks.

Ok TWRP or Philz CWM will work for both NC5 or NH7 just make sure you have the right version i.e. (the version for mj4 you have now, will not work for NH7). What mod are you using to run the Hotspot? I'm sure you can get the hotspot working with the same mod on both NC5 and NH7 just a newer version once you get the new OS rooted.
I'm running 4.4.4 NK4 I downloaded Hexo+ and it opened no problem.

awesome good to know.
.... geez, sadly I can't remember how or what I used for the mod. brain cells way too invested in other things that I can't remember. hahahaha damn it. oh fml...
In regards to the right version, I need the .zip file, not the img or img.tar, correct?
You said your os was running smooth and no issues, same with battery consumption (nk4)?
got the NK4 file downloaded, but I'm confused as I didn't find the rooted version on your page. I read "rooting the phone" section under towelroot, am I correct in that the towelroot apk will root the stock NK4 file I've just downloaded from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522638?
This was how I did the hotspot mod... Will this get wiped out? I'm assuming yes.

[ROM][STOCK][DEBLOATED][5.1.1] Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 LTE 2016 (SM-T285)

This is a custom Rom I made for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 LTE (SM-T285), which suits my tastes.
If you have suggestions, send me a PM.
UPDATE 09/07/2016
================
A newer version that runs "root" (sepolicy constrained) scripts can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-samsung-galaxy-tab-7-0-lte-2016-sm-t3455788
Use the above version instead if you want to experiment with features like apps 2 sdcard.
Modifications:
* Based on LMY47V.T285XXU0APCN
* Stock Boot and Recovery (Not much choice since the bootloader is locked)
* Removed Touchwiz launcher and redundant samsung apps (Hancom office, Kidzone), replaced with Trebuchet
* Enabled r/w to the external SD Card
Installation Instructions:
Odin or Heimdall Required.
--FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK--
1. Make sure to backup of your data and have a copy of your stock Rom in case something goes wrong.
2. Make sure your device is OEM unlocked. (Enable Developer settings and Enable the OEM unlock settings)
3. Extract ZIP file below and flash the tar.md5 file using ODIN, for details on this kindly look for instructions in the xda site.
4. For Heimdall you can use 7zip to extract the system.img from the tar.md5 and just flash the system.img itself.

You have to go to download mode and then use Odin to flash. Unfortunately this does not root the T285.

Hi,
Anyone tried Pokemon Go update 0.37 with this ROM? The update fails to start for me. It prompts device/os version is incompatible.
I reverted back to version 0.35 and it works fine.

Yeah the newest version checks for xposed and a bunch of other things. Actually a lot of people were pissed that they did this. You'd probably need to revert back to stock if you want to play. Only systemless root and xposed with magisk works for Pokemon go now.

Also if you want more details on what is going on search google for "pokemon go safetynet". Basically most custom roms and not just this device should fail the test.

Hello and thank you for your work with this device. Currently I am looking for a bypass for the factory reset protection on my sm t280. I have flashed the stock md5 file 3+ times attempting to do a complete data wipe and reset, and this doesnt remove the lock. Any ideas?

To FRP unlock you have to go to developer settings and switch oem unlock to false. The stock rom should have it unless you are using a carrier locked version that I a! not aware of.

I just downloaded a stock recovery for a sm t285, and was going to attempt to flash to the 280. havent yet, do you feel that would be a safe thing to attempt? not looking to brick.

FRP is specifically designed to prevent flashing if you can't login to the device. You won't be able to flash unless the person has turned off oem unlock beforehand. I am not aware of any method to bypass this on this device.
Also the T280 and T285 have slightly different hardware so using a different recovery image is not recommended. Also since both devices have a locked bootloader, I highly doubt you can even change the recoveries from stock as I would imagine samsung using different keys for both. At the worst case it still always possible to reflash them back to stock if you do want to try

And thank you so much for selling it. I don't speak enough Spanish to make the ordeal of getting one of the T285M's from so america worthwhile. I was planning on sticking with my T239M for awhile, then I saw your T285M on ebay.
I've dirty flashed jedld's T285 debloated rom, then dirty flashed his T285 tinker rom on top of that. Both onto my T285M. Working flawlessly. Wished he'd kept the mail app, but without touchwiz I guess that wasn't possible.
Something else they blocked in the kernel or with SElinux on the T285M is screen mirroring. Can only cast directly from apps.
Still I am happy overall. Now looking for a castrated version of daemonsu!

Double Aargh...salt on my wounds ttb
Now my contact in S. America will not even reply to me
Contemplating on getting the Samsung J max 7.0 dual sim...yes no U.S lte but has an 8mp camera and a flash...similar to the T285 otherwise...can't say how many times I needed the flash for photos or even if for looking at labels peering into dim areas behind a monitor or tv..maybe end up in same pickle of no root...will see (number is SM-T285YD so it is based off the T285 it seems-maybe a Latin American version soon?)
Also trying to get the T705M from another source but taking forever...low hopes think it will come through

got another one - white color ...as a gift...God Bless - great device battery life is just incredible - nothing fancy but does its job...keeping this one (had it since early November) gave up on the 705m
Is this ROM compatible with Google Safetynet? I can't seem to log into Pokemon GO since I installed Tinker edition, so I'm thinking to switch to this one instead.
Haven't tried it but it should work.
Is the root part contained in boot.img or in system.img? In other words, when using Heimdall I should flash both system.img and boot.img, isn't it?
I'm getting bootloops with CM13, Omni and I don't know how I got Tinker working, I kind of remember flashing boot.img, then wiping, then flashing system.img, then wiping again.
EDIT: got this one working too by flashing boot.img (Heimdall complains it cannot receive confirmation msg) reboot into download again, then flashing system.img (this time heimdall does reboot the phone). however, pokemon go still wont connect due to google's safetynet compliance.
I'll try flashing recovery in case it is TWRP the one clashing with Safetynet.
PD: I didn't backup stock at the beggining of the process so I'm pretty much screwed with Pokemon until I can afford a new phone. But if someone has a stock ROM for T285MUBU0API2, please ping me.
EDIT2 Got pokemon working. I reinstalled TWRP (this ROM's recovery is the stock one, of course), then flashed unSU. It removed SuperSU binary and Google SafeNet got working again. I can't believe that, after so much hours I've put into finding the best custom ROM for this crappy phone, 95% of the time was spent in trying to get Pokemon GO running. I'm close to 40, FML.

1. Download the rom
2. Move rom to SD card (anywhere is fine)
3. Open FlashFire
4. Choose action "Backup" (I would personally do a backup through TWRP but it's up to you).
5. Add action "Wipe" and wipe all but your internal storage.
6. Add action "Flash Zip Update or OTA" and find the rom zip.
7. Make sure Everoot is disabled
8. Chose reboot to recovery and its up to you if you want to preserve recovery, I left this option ticked
9. Click the little lightning symbol in the bottom left corner Happy Flashing!
REMEMBER TO HAVE YOUR ACTIONS SET IN ORDER!!!! 1. BACKUP (optional) 2. WIPE 3. FLASH ZIP 4. REBOOT SYSTEM
Get TWRP for this device HERE - It's actually for SM-S820L (Straight Talk) but I CONFIRM that this works for our model.
TWRP Method
1. Download Rom
2. Place Rom on External SD
3. Reboot to recovery
4. Do a backup
5. Go back choose advanced wipe. I usually wipe everything except internal storage and my sdcard. Be sure to wipe dalvik, system, cache and data.
6. Once that is done go back and find the Install option. Select the G360P ROM you just downloaded and swipe to install.
7. Reboot to system!
It will take a little while on first boot. Just be patient! If it has been more than 5 minutes try flashing again. If it still doesnt work, come to the thread and ask for help.

Nice to actually see our prevail lte for boost mobile on an xda forum. Now I know where my rom actually comes from , paid dude on fiverr.com to root my phone and he came back with rom with same features. I am currently doing research to modify certain properties to speed up data intake and prevent throttling and restrictions. I am going to throw this rom onto my dummy/test prevail and decompile and edit certain system apps/proceasea , so whatever sucess I have will be shared here or via PM. Any mods you have done to improve performance or bypass restrictions I would love to know. Thanks again man , appreciate these steps towards freedom. PM me for mods I have made or if you want me to test something for this phone since I have two sm-g360p's.
Update im discontinuing all development of prevail, buying an LG Stylo 2 or S7 depending how deep pockets are. Ardwill thanks for initial rom. I got lost in sauce and made some mistakes , when and if i get dialout to work i will continue my workaround project. might of ben a Efs improper backup or lack thereof but You are in good hands with Ardwill. Always keep first TWRP backup even after benchmarked

Good luck putting the pj2 together in the same way, I remember I had to us goingl e Kingo desktop, but since you aren't to be doing it like that ..IE systemless root I assume , you could have a hard time. I did for some reason find modifying the pj2 ROM made it unstable, probably the root method but ya man Let me know when you do bro cuz I definitely did remember it having a better athstetic look when I had that Ron via the. Also if you find an upgraded version of TWRP (2.8.70) throw my way. Thanks again.

Thanks for the feedback. Here is PJ2. It is in Aroma installer. In my experience, flashing through TWRP freezes up. So use the Flashfire install method instead. I haven't tested this yet so please let me know what happens and what you think. Any questions, please feel free to ask, I will get back to you as soon as I can. As of now, I have no updated version of TWRP but I will continue to look in my free time.
For some reason cant get it to flaashfire twrp flash , either way no install brother, if you could pull off finding mms/phone fix or prl/profile update zip would be killer im on the old stock ziplignef deodexed rom still and i must of mest up a TWRP recovery cuz all i get is data,, next phonr def. Using log reports. idk if ye md5 dont match or i gotta download the ape2 first. Hopefully ge ape2 update allow install since it we kinda skipped that update which was between the apj2 amd aoh1.
Update gixed phone dialingout bug , was a problem with the radio being set to LTE/GSM , as we all know boost and sprint are CDMA so i turbed off ims registration , switched to LTE/CDMA/GSM. No option to leave off gsm
Then refreshed where it says refresh/update hit refresh , you should sé ur phone number, mine was missing. Ie. My problem. This done from radio ping testing screen, i used Radio Network Reset on playstore/aptoide. Shortcutmaster lite honorable mention. So no pob with your first AOH1 based rom.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to pull the pj2 version down. I bet if you took a stock boot.img it would work just fine but im kind of stuck right now, my pc crashed so I'm unable to do anything right now. You should grab the stock pj2 file and Odin it to your phone. Run all the system updates and such. Update prl and all that jazz. That's what I'm running right now. You'll have to re flash twrp, reroot. I'll keep you updated as soon as im able to do something. Thanks again

Hey no problem, ya I still have so much put into your first ROM that I probably won't get PJ2. Might back it up and install it then try to install it, so if it works to flash if you're already running pj2 so we can have root deodexed ROM then I'll pm you so that you can put it back up or I'll do so with you as credits obviously. But ya take it down for now because I flashed to stock aoh1 ,and my modded version and it didn't work. Also I appreciate it man, couldn't of got all this out of my core prime(aka Pre LTE) if it wasn't for your base ROM! GS Man !
Thank you so very very very much for this rom.. I've really been waiting for someone to do something with this device, and broke my J7 at Christmas, so I'm back on the doles again only to find someone finally made one.. HAH!! Namaste and Bona Fortuna with the PJ2.. I'll give that one a shot when it is out again and stable.. My phone already runs faster and even cooler..
Namaste...
Au.

Hey, @Doctur, how are you? I was wondering if you ever fixed your phone and if a firmware flash didn't fix it, because it includes the modem. If you haven't tried it, I made a modem zip that might help and you wouldn't have to flash a whole firmware.

I appreciate it but I own a different device and it's currently being worked on. Thanks tho.
I know that there is a recovery already but as I write this I'm building on Omni 4.4 a recovery from source code. I have the phone but it's for Qlink services.
Edit: it didn't work.
Not working
I tried flashing this via the Flashfire method. It didn't work, it reboots and gets stuck on the Samsung logo.
Dunno what I did wrong, if I missed a step, or maybe something else I did broke the flashing ability.
Hope someone can help.

If you don't want to wait you should be able to unzip the current version and add this it the update script(META-INF/com/google/Android)
symlink("/system/lib/modules/prima/prima_wlan.ko", "/system/lib/modules/wlan.ko");
Then just compress the files back into a zip file and it should fix wifi.
Corrupt Zip File
Whenever I try to flash your ROM in Safestrap for my G-730A it always tells me I have a corrupt zip file and it is unable to flash it. I have tried to download it multiple times (the first time failed for the Mediafire link) and copy it back onto my SD card but to no avail. I have followed all the necessary steps to get this Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini somewhat custom ROM ready. I installed the busybox scripts, enabled safestrap, set the SELinux mode to permissive, installed Xposed and the libraries, now I just need to know how to flash a modded version of the Kitkat 4.4.2 stock ROM onto this device properly. Do you have another version that's more stable, or possibly even a link to an entirely different de-bloat ROM? Thanks!

My suggestion would just be to manually debloat the rom by just uninstalling all the useless system apps. The stock rom I made is very buggy and because you can't root on this rom you have to flash back to stock with Odin if something goes wrong. I can try and reupload to Google drive if that helps, but I am unable to test it because I bricked all 3 of my s3 mini's. I also ported another rom called tencent os but that has more bugs than this one so it's not worth using.

I will take you suggestion and just do the following on the stock ROM manually. I will heed your advice that the ROM you created just isn't ready for primetime, and I would honestly rather trade stability for convenience any day. You don't have to go to the trouble of re-uploading a new one to Google Drive if you don't want to. Speaking of Tencent OS, while I was doing research for this device on XDA that did come up in the search results. I thought nothing of it and I didn't even look at the author of it, but I'm pretty sure it was you Turnert. At this point I think I will just stick to the stock 4.4.2 image and stop looking for what isn't there.
UPDATE: I was able to get the number of system apps down to about 150. So far so good, initially there was some black screens and random apps opening after the preliminary uninstall. All seems to be fine after a soft reset though. I'm liking the performance and the added storage benefit without all that bloatware running in the background taking up room.

Honestly I might buy an s3 mini and see if I can improve this rom a bit considering it's been quite a while since I've done any work on this device. I would love to work on this device again and see if I could maybe get aosp or something running on it even if it's not very likely that aosp will ever run on it.
Hi guys! is this 4.4.2 because basically 4.4.4 was never released for this phone? thx.
