I had a 5.0.1 ROM installed on the stock slot on safestrap. The phone worked but I could no longer go into safestrap to change the ROM so I tried to flash a stock ROM with Odin. I flashed I545VRUFNC5_I545VZWFNC5_I545VRUFNC5_HOME.tar.md5 but now there is no recovery and it gets stuck in the red Verizon splash screen. Any help is appreciated!
Fixed it
I fixed it by using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735172 and doing the full-wipe option. After reboot, I turned it off, removed battery, microsd card, and sim card and then it worked.

Ok so i rooted my Me7 sch-1545 on 4.3 and installed Synergy rom with safestrap when it 1st released last fall (or whenever it was)
was moderately satisfied with this rom but by now i assumed there where better options so i decided on hyperdrive rls15.
so basically im an idiot and decided to operate off of what i remembered of how to flash a rom instead of reading anything (genius right?).
downloaded
Safestrap-JFLTEVZW-3.70-B01.apk from xda installed and then installed the updated recovery via app
rebooted opened safestrap recovery went though to system reboot and restarted my phone.
then proceeded to download
Hyperdrive RLS15 S4.zip
moved the zip to ext sd card then booted into recovery
so right here is where im pretty sure i bricked my phone :good:
selected install in recovery, selected the rls15 zip and drumroll.... selected the STOCK rom slot
went though the hyperdrive setup deleted cache and dalvik selected a few different options mostly left it as what was already checked.
agreed to terms etc and proceeded to install it everything was working well installation completed
selected to reboot
"samsung s4 splash screen"
then blackscreen with a "pulsating" dimming and brightening blue light left it like this for 20 minutes as it stated could take an extended amount of time on first boot
with no option of booting back into safestrap at any point
so after that wasnt doing anything opted to try out the stock recovery power home vol up
this method immediately takes me to odin mode
Odin mode
product name:sch 1545
current binary:samsung official
sytem statusfficial
csb-config-lsb: 0x30
write protection enabled
Downloading do not turn off target!!
and cannot access any other options
tldr: sch-1545 me7
flashed rls15 rom to stock rom slot in safestrap recovery
can no longer boot the phone or into safestrap or stock recovery only ODIN mode
So basically is she done for or do i have any options?

Just got my S4 in the mail today and the first thing I did was go looking for a Rom.
I rooted with towelroot and then installed Safestrap. My first flash was Slimkat but all it did was boot to a black screen. I went back to recovery and did a factory reset. Still black screen.
I re-booted to recovery and installed Google Play Edition. That got stuck on the boot logo for about 5 minutes. Went back to recovery and did a factory resit, still stuck on boot logo.
Next I installed Hyperdrive. stuck in bootloop for 15 minutes before I gave up and Odin'ed back to stock. any suggestion why I'm failing at installing custom roms?

Are you installing to the stock slot?
Yes. I have gotten the impression that you can ONLY install to the stock slot.

Assuming you are using Safestrap correctly.... check your downloads.
Also, slimkat is not compatible with your phone unless you are on mdk which I doubt. There is a process by which you can get the GPE ROM to run on our device if you aren't on mdk but I suspect all you did was flash the zip. We can't use AOSP Roms and if your going by the list of Roms in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297370 you will find most of them to be incompatible. There is no reason that Hyperdrive would get stuck in a bootloop unless there were something wrong with the install or your download.

Your right. I "Just flashed" I Odined back to stock and tried again, this time following the isntructions for flashing Hyperdrive and it's working fine. Imagine that! All i had to do was read the instructions.

Verizon S4 MDK
Background: I was on an MIUI port for the verizon s4, Wanted to flash to Chaos rom 3.0, recovery "Failed out every time, updated TWRP to 2.8.01, flashed Chaos 3.0 ( This rom requires a non stock kernal), Forgot to install Kernal before flashing (partly because i thought I already had one)< rom flashed successfully, rebooted and got a blue screen with pixels all over, rebooted again and the phone sits at a black screen that blinks every 5 seconds and vibrates, can ONLY get to Download mode no recovery.
*tried flashing twrp in ODIN and it fails, even on different Odin versions.
I want to atleast be able to get to recovery again so i can save my internal memory files (pictures mostly), how can i get there?
Trying to use MDK no wipe in ODIN now.
MDK no wipe.tar worked, allowed me to access my files. Thanks for all the help I didnt get! hope this post helps someone down the road
Had SafeStrap, went to install a new ROM tonight and didn't notice it was not for NC5. It loaded up a fancy boot animation and wouldn't load, so I wiped it. Put a NC5 rom on my sd card, put it into the phone and now no matter what I can't get past the logo. I can boot into recovery, but when I flash a ROM, same thing it just gets stuck on the logo when booting. What is the next step to unbrick? I see nothing for NC5 around.

if you can't get back into safe-strap then the quickest thing is gonna be to odin back to stock and re root/install bb and SS and then restore from the safestrap backup you didn't make
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735172
flash the nc5-no wipe root with towel root, install superSU,install busybox, and then safestrap
Thanks just wanted to make sure I was on the right track. Turns out I had the odin for mk2 and nc5 which was causing issues. All back up and running now thanks!
I have an unlocked AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 and have been trying to use SafeStrap to flash new ROMs. Everything goes like normal, ROM looks to be successfully installed. But I have tried to flash three different ROMs that are compatible with SafeStrap and my device, and each of them get stuck in an endless splash screen (I waited more than 20 minutes.) I did not mess with the stock ROM slot, so that is still intact. This is really frustrating, has anyone else encountered this problem? I've already tried factory resets and data wipes on the ROM slot, and also have deleted and re-partitioned the slot twice. As suggested online, I was flashing three zip at once: the ROM, kernel, and superuser.
