Hey guys,
Was wondering lately - there are lots of new firmware updates for the Nubia Z7 Max (started with 3.09...3.22...and now 3.55...)
I just dont get it -- why I don't get this updates via FOTA? why do we have to flash them?
I'm currently running the official 3.22 firmware with GAPPS installed.
Thanks!

TopTomy,
I believe the reason is that 3.22 is the latest stable release for the Z7 Max while all newer versions are are beta releases which are not released OTA. The reason would be as beta versions they may have bugs and by making the user manually flash them they check you know what you're getting into.

Just one Question
i had rooted and flashed the touchscreen fix.
After updating my device wil the root and fix removed?
Yes. Updating your phone to the latest version of the OS from LG will replace the fixed kernel and undo the rooting process. Even worse, the updated versions of 2.2 are not rootable.
Update means - update from LG stock rom?

Yes. I think that the LG stock ROM is Android 2.2 and the updates that are available over-the-air are 2.2.1 (and maybe 2.2.2?) but those two are not rootable.
So is there any way to get android 2.2.1 without doing any normal update?
Noejn's custom ROM called "Prime" is based on v2.2.1.
This is the link to that thread, read it and see if you can flash the touchscreen fix over this ROM, then maybe it suits your needs.
I found this page -> http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-jetstream-att/software-updates
and there are update for AT&T Jetsream version 02.09.2012
is there anyone know the details about this update?
what change, what new etc...
Thanks
that's the only update they ever bothered to release.
its the 1.30 version...its old and even the custom roms are based on it. (most of them)

Hello all, I have a question that I hope isn't already answered.
I have my T-Mobile galaxy S5 and I had rooted it and flashed roms, the whole nine yards... I then un-rooted it and flashed the stock rom (the most current at the time).
It has been a couple months since I have updated it because as you guys know, once you root your phone, you no longer get any OTA updates...
So my question is, if I go from the current stock T-Mobile build that I am on (G900TUVU1ANCH) to the most current one, correct me if I am wrong, (G900TUVU1BNG3) will I miss out on anything from the releases before that? Like I know that T-Mobile added the VoLTE software in the release before this one... if I skip that release for the new one, will I not receive that software? Do the new builds add on to the previous ones?
Thank you for your responses!

No, the latest version of the firmware is the whole firmware. It should include the whole system with all updates etc.

yup, just install the latest and your good.
As the earlier reply suggested, you do not need to install all of the firmware versions that have been released. The most current, full firmware image will be a stand alone and full featured set of features. If you find any feature missing, it would only be because Samsung or the carrier depreciated it and do not intend that feature to be available on any future firmware releases either.
So you just need to flash the most current firmware.

Since the OTA upgrade from B017 to B019 ROM, wifi has been a real problem. The only way I can get it to work reliably is to set my router to use 11g rather than 11n.
Is everyone else having the same problem, or are others using wifi n successfully?
Does anyone have a link to the B017 official stock ROM? I may need to go back to that if I can't find a solution.
Thanks.

Which version did you start from? Does B017 really exist or you meant B007? Here you can download the different versions of Fw:

I'm talking about the stock Android 4.2.2 software - not that KitKat version with the 400dpi that breaks a lot of apps and messes up the layout.
B017 is the version that came out immediately before the current latest official B019 OTA update for the 7d-501u model.

Ops, sorry, you are right.
Unfortunately, it seems Huawei keeps only the last version of the Fw on its websites. Anyway, here another link with what you need.

I haven't tried it.
B020 seems to fix things
Just upgraded to the B020 software via an OTA update (yes, it's still 4.2.2 and the dpi is still 320). It does seem to fix the wifi issues I was having thankfully.
Hi all,
I bought a Z7 MAX on lenten.fr a few month ago and I think they put a custom rom on it (because I have multi-language on it).
I have a problem, every time i boot my phone it ask me to do an update (NX505J_CNCommon_V1.38). It starts but it is always failed.
So I decided to put an other custom rom (like cyanogen) or the official one but it is impossible, could some one help me please?
My mobile phone is:
NX505J
nubia UI: V9.5.0
Android version: 4.4.2
build number: NX505J_CNCommon_V9.29
Hardware version: NX505JMB_A
Thanks,

You can only do official over the air updates if you are running stock ROM and recovery and unrooted. I am in the same boat as you, however I am just waiting for official android v5.0 to be released for the mini as there is no point in upgrading when that release will be coming very soon.
instructions are here anyway:

Are you going through the Nubia update app or flashing through recovery? Many European dealers install their own custom ROM which ends up impossible to update through Nubia update.
You should download the official 1.64 ROM (the latest Android 4.4.2 version; google "ZTE Nubia Z7 Max Official ROM v1.64", it should be on NeedROM) and install that through recovery. From there you can either install CM or upgrade to official Android 5.0. You can find instructions for installing ROMs through recovery mode in the post flamery linked.

Unfortunately nubiaforums is closed
Could you point me to instruction how did you upgrade this 9.29 ROM?
[EDIT]
So, I'll aswer myself, in case there is another one with such old ROM.
Problem solved, found a way to upgrade to Lolipop. Thanks to user craagz, who wrote this tutorial (just erase spaces in http).
Next I have installed official 2.13 ROM (nubia updater made resize of patitions) - it's lolipop 5.0.0.
One thing - USB debugging must be switched off
Next step - from stock recovery from ROM 2.13 directly installed newest official ROM-3.77 - lolipop 5.1.1, and with tigreos tutorial from needrom/ and rooted and gapps.
That end I just have to configure apps and make LTE works
