CWM for Prestigio Multiphone PAP7500 - Android

Hi,
I know that many people who have Prestigio Multiphone PAP7500 know that there are zero CWM-s for this Prestigio!
And finally I got CWM!
PS! It actually works with every rooted android phone!
1: Download MTK Droid Tools: I can't put link right now because I am new user! LINK COMING SOON
2: From your computer, open MTK Droid Tools and extract it to your desired location.
3: Open MTK Droid Tools.exe from the extracted folder (Run as administrator).
4:Wait for the tool to detect your device. (If UBIFS warning appeared in the status message, this process will not work for you. Only ext4 supported.). Notice on the bottom-left part of the tool, a YELLOW color indicator means that your android device is does not have root shell yet.
5: Click ROOT button to enable root shell your device.
6: Wait for the progress bar on the Status, see your phone to Grant Superuser access. If the color indicator turns GREEN, then you have successfully enabled root shell for your device
7: Now, select the "Root, Backup, Recovery" tab and and further choose "To Use Boot From Phone" from the selections.
8: Click Recovery and Boot, a message prompt will appear "To make CWM recovery automatically", click YES.
When the tool ask you to reboot your phone to recovery, click Yes and it will reboot to CWM recovery shortly.
Congratulations! You now have ClockworkMod custom recovery on your MediaTek android device. You can now enjoy apps that requires Superuser rights, mods and ROMs that requires flashing from CWM!

I've tried rooting it using SuperOneClick 2.3.3.0, UnlockRoot 2.3.1 and Gingerbreak, but it seems that all failed in rooting this new android phone.
Any idea how to root this phone will be greatly appreciated.

I've heard this works for other people. With my phone it doesn't. When I plug it in, it doesn't show an unknown device. I've already downloaded and installed MT65xx Preloader and tried out a VCom, but still nothing. I've been going at it for a week, so if anyone's got an answer, advice would be great. Thanks!
Error # 16008
A message came out,
"EBOOT ERROR (16008), [Android] Partition size changed!

I have successfully rooted my phone and installed cwm
Okay installing CWM was hard, here is how I did it:
Install Vcom mtk drivers
Install Vroot
Enable USB Debugging
Start Vroot and Click on Root (this should already root your phone successfully)
Install SuperSu (Download as Apk File)
Install the newest version of MTKDroidTools
Connect Phone with PC
Start MTKDroidTools as Administrator
Check if your phone gets revealed (should happen if you're lucky)
If you got it revealed(Informations about the phone should show up) by MTKDroidTools, click on "root, backup, recovery"
Click on the Root Button at the Bottom (yes, it is still necessary)
Next to the Button "Recovery and Boot", select "To use boot from phone", then click on "Recovery and Boot"
I dont remember which dialogs will pop up, but you will have to agree everything, and this is important: Let it build you an automatic CWM Recovery on your phone
At last it will ask you if to reboot into recovery, select yes
Later if you are in Android, and dont know how to get back to recovery mode, just install MobileUncleTools, there you can select "reboot into recovery".
Finished. I hope I could help!

Recovery mode
Go to recovery mode.
Do you have Android SDK installed in your machine or any Linux substitute in case you are a Linux user? You'll need it.
Read before attempting.
-Find the key combinations that applies to your phone.
-Get into recovery mode pressing the specific keys.
-Connect your device through USB port.
-Write in terminal or cmd:
Code:
adb devices
-if a device is connected proceed, if not, find what's going on.
-Write in terminal or cmd:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
-Find the desired ROM (The one made for your device or a previous system backup that you have made when the phone still worked), ensure it's safe and specific made for your phone.
-There must appear some options showing in your phone screen or maybe the Android robot laying on its back, you'll need to see the options, click buttons until you see them.
-Choose the line that says "apply update from ADB".
-Use the command in Terminal or cmd:
Code:
adb sideload yourzipfile.zip
-It must be a zip file, sometimes you need to unzip the zip file just to find another zip file (usually named update.zip)
-It must show the robot in a different position and some yellow lines showing you the progress, if something goes wrong you'll know, if everything goes fine, good.
-Restart the phone and you're done.
If you can't load the file with adb sideload command, copy the zip file in the SD card and choose apply update from SDcard from the recovery menu, locate the zip file and apply it.
You should be fine if you use the right Android version or backup.
Good luck. If this doesn't works or goes easy as I say, let me know.
Prerequisites:
Can boot into recovery
A working bootanimation.zip
Adb....if you dont have it download minimalistic adb and fastboot for windows.
Okay lets get down to business....
1.First boot into recovery and then select apply update from adb and type -'adb devices'
This will open up the comms port and start adb comms with the device.
2.Now type adb push <bootanimationfile>.zip system/media/
3.and voila you will have revived youtlr device.
Hit thanks if this helped.

[GUIDE] Root SM-J100VPP (Verizon) without ODIN [DEC 2017]

I have found a way to root the Samsung Galaxy J1 (SM-J100VPP, Verizon) without needing to flash modified, rooted firmware using ODIN. I do not know if this unlocks the bootloader. Maybe someone can reply with an answer.
1. Make sure ADB/USB debugging is turned on. Settings > about phone > tap on 'build number' seven times to enable developer options.
2. Tap back button once and tap developer options. Make sure the box next to 'USB Debugging' has a check mark.
3. Plug your phone into your PC and open up an ADB window.
4. Download and install the Hidden Menus APK attached to this post, located at the bottom of the thread. (If using ADB to install, place the APK in your ADB folder and open an ADB command window and type: adb install HiddenMenus.apk)
5. Open the Hidden Menus app and scroll until you see 'Rlz Debug UI' and tap on it.
6. Where it says 'OEM Mode', make sure 'on' is selected (tap the circle next to OEM Mode to turn it on).
7. Go to my Google Drive, download and install 'android_root.exe'. This will install an older version of KingoRoot onto your PC.
8. Open KingoRoot for PC and connect your phone to the PC.
9. At the very bottom, left corner of the KingoRoot for PC window, make sure to UNCHECK the box that says 'install recommended app'.
10. Click on root and let KingoRoot root your phone.
Replace KingoRoot with SuperSU
I don't like one-click-root apps. I don't trust them. So whenever possible, I try to find methods to install SuperSU. Below is a guide to replace KingoRoot with SuperSU. The method in this thread works and only consists of a few steps. First you'll need to go to the KingoRoot homepage and download the APK for Android and install it. Then follow the steps below:
1. Delete/Uninstall Kingouser, but keep Kingoroot. DON'T reboot your device
3. Install SuperSU apk from flashable zip v2.79 (APK provided by me, attached at the bottom of this thread).
4. Launch it, press "continue" and "normal" wait until the update is successful. (You might have to close the SuperSU app and reopen it to complete this step).
5. Reboot and uninstall Kingoroot.
Thanks everyone. I really love this little phone!
ok, so all that has happened here IS. you happened to have a samsung galaxy j1 sm-j100vpp verizon prepaid phone that happened to NEVER be updated to the unpatchable 5.1.1 and you rooted the existing firmware that we all have to downgrade to, to be able to root. And to answer your question about the boot loader.... NO, flashing or MODIFYING the firmware has nothing to do with the boot partition.
BUT. the super su replacement has caught my eye and is how i found this post. I will check the work and report back. this would be a huge step forward in creating a 32 bit custom twrp as the chipset in this phone only supports 32 bit and is why twrp (cwm similar etc....) does not work on this device. i have noticed another samsung device that has "alot" of the same chipsets but still supports 64 bit and has a promising twrp I may be able to compile as a 32 bit only recovery img. after that. its smooth sailing.
