Hopefully someone can help me. I am very new to flashing custom roms. My device is a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8010). I have managed to flash it with cm-10.2-20140323-NIGHTLY-n8000 has Clockworkmod Recovery 6.0.4.6 complained that my device is a GT-N8000. The fact is that the factory rom reports the device has a GT-8010 so this has me confused. Also I seem to have no memory left on my device. So I am considering flashing cm-11 UNOFFICIAL but Clockworkmod 6.0.4.6 won't flash it and comes up with an error. From what I have read I need to have a recovery that supports Andriod KitKat 4.4. So hopefully someone can educate me on:-
Does the Clockwordmod Recovery set the device type? ie GT-N8010
Is there a Clockworkmod Recovery that supports CyanogenMod CM-11 UNOFFICIAL?
Is there a step by step guide that I can use that does not require odin or the like to install CyanogenMod CM-11 UNOFFICIAL?
Thanks In Advance
I am using OMNI ROM 4.4.4 KITKAT on my Galaxy S2 GT-I9100. I want to install ICS ROM CM9. I have TWRP 2.7.1.0. Is it ok to flash CM9 using this TWRP version or should I install CWM. Please guide me how to use TWRP to install this ICS version. I have read ICS versions require different Recovery Modes due to different Bootloader. Is TWRP/CWM back compatible i.e does the latest TWRP/CWM capable enough to install all previous versions of ROMs. Also guide me how to use TWRP as I am comfortable with CWM.
Hey guys, I'm back!
First, I've successfully rooted the recovery image and installed SuperSU for the last time, but I can't find CyanogenMod official/unofficial and custom ROM for previous to latest Android versions (example as Android 4.4.x KitKat) to relevant before how to install.
Second, is it compatible to install a custom ROM for GT-I9060 (Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo) than GT-I9080 and GT-I9082 (Samsung Galaxy Grand) in recovery mode?
Sorry about that, but it's impossible to fit those categories in this forum.

Well, I do have tried google a bit and yes over this forum too but couldn't seem to get custom ROMs available for your device I would say wait a bit more while I think developers might be working over the ROMs....

Hey everyone, this is my first thread on this huge community. Can someone suggest me a custom ROM that can be flashed using ODIN or Mobile ODIN or via CWM 4.0.x.x? I've tried twice to install the 6.0.x.x version, but in both cases I soft bricked my device
I am searching for a Stable ROM, possibly kit kat or higher (but an improved version of Jelly Bean would be OK).
I would really like a Lollypop Custom ROM, but, as I sad before, I failed twice. Thanks for your help!

Hello,
You should update your recovery to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/kernel-t2291756
You cannot flash a kitkat or a lollipop ROM with a CWM 4.0.X.X recovery as it is very old.
Once you've installed the above mentioned latest Apolo kernel, you can go ahead and flash any other ROM normally as you would do with any other recovery.
Regards
I recently came into possession of a verizon galaxy s4 with mdk bootloader, cyanogenmod version 11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-jflte
Android 4.4.4,and recovery is PhilZ Touch 6 CWM v6. 0.4.7. I'm looking to put some of the latest cm12.1 builds or equivalent.... Do I have to update the recovery to install the newer roms... Any help and suggestions are appreciated as This will be my new daily driver.....

you should be-able to upgrade to the latest twrp which you can get here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292565
here is the Requisite: HERE BE DRAGONS WARNING: BE very carful what you flash on the S4 there are a ****ton of roms kicking around on this board that contain the bootloader if you flash a rom containing a locked bootloader you are pretty much screwed there is no way to go back
Thank you for the heads up... I'm currently running twrp 3.0 & 11/17 cyanogenmod 12.1 I'm happy with it so far...
