Hy,
After the last update, after long pressing the home button on my Samsung Galaxy S6, Greenify only hibernates the running apps, without shutting down the screen, as it did in the previous version.
Is this a bug?
I am running the donation package, and using Xposed. Previous version worked, on the same ROM and Kernel.
Thank you.
Problem solved with today's update. Thank you.

I'm new to the G Tab and currently have not done any moding/hacking as of yet. I am not however new to Android. I have a Moto Droid 1 and love the Android OS. Is there anyway to switch quickly between recently used apps? On the Droid I am long press the home button.

Same with the Gtab, but only after you install a ROM like TnT Lite or Vegan Tab. You'd long press the home button to get the list of recently used apps.
Has to be the hardware home button, not the soft buttons.

With Button Saviour, Long Pressing the Home soft key (on the APP) will also bring up the most recent apps.
=o)
Sorry. I meant not the softkey on Vegan statusbar.
Hi,
I use jkswitch from market. You can configure it to popup the running apps, then press on the search button to switch.

Thanks everyone. Its becoming more evident that I need to change the os to make this tablet more like an android os.
Hi, i have an international Galaxy S3 (i-9300). I recently updated to Jelly Bean via Samsung Kies (baseband version I9300DXDLI5) and there's a change that has been bugging me. In stock ICS, when the screen turned off due to inactivity, pressing either the power button or the home button would turn on the screen and lets me pick up where i left off. Now in JB, pressing the home button to wake the phone will take me to the home screen. Pressing the power button to wake the phone in both ICS and JB works as normal.
For example, I'm browsing the web on Opera Mobile. The screen times out and turns off. In ICS, when i press the home button, the screen would turn on and i could continue browsing. In JB, when i press the home button, the screen would turn on but take me back to the home screen. Pressing the power button works but the home button is bigger and easier to press.
Anyone knows a fix for this?
I'm running stock JB and not rooted.
Thanks so much
It's a known issue. There's no fix for it on the stock ROM, but there is a workaround - use a different launcher, such as Apex or Nova. The issue only affects the default Touchwiz launcher.

Not true. I use Nova Launcher (the paid version) and I also experience this problem (or is it a feature?).
The workaround I found is to wake the phone using the POWER button instead of the HOME button.
I found a fix\workaround (no root needed) to this please see the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1929953
looks like that wasn't a work around.
Any updates on this?
I don`t seem to have that issues.. Goes right back to whichever apps I was using. Tried a bunch of apps too.
The bug happens only if you have disabled S-Voice.
If you have S-Voice enabled (double press home button) then you will not encounter this bug. But the trade off is the Home Button action is delayed.
Yes its either you have to enable s-voice but I don't like this idea so I use jkay framework. In jkay framework the issue is solved along with many other features and mods. Try it out

I went through that thread from start to finish, the only suggestion was actually a workaround.
Basically enable S-Voice, but at the trade of slowing down your home button.
How did you fix the issue uronfire?

First of all, you'll need Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Google App installed on your device

Thank you for your attention. Yes, my blackview 6000 run Android 6.0 9 marshmallow and is installed Google App.
The problem is, on my blackview 6000, the Home Button is used for go to home Screen and if long tapped, it goes to recent task

Tommy,
My son also bought a BV6000S and spent about 8 hours trying to get it to work properly. There doesn't seem to be much support provided by Blackview for any of their phones online (at least I can't find any, except for their forum, where you might get a question answered by someone from the company, or you might not). I can't help with your question, but can offer moral support.
I installed CM13 few weeks ago in my old s3 phone. I've set my button function for long pressing menu button and home button to switch to recent app. But recently when I'm pressing it, it didn't work for both menu and home button. I was wondering if this was a bug. What's the solution for thia
Hi community, i'm looking a way to activate the long press functionality using the task button (the one next to home that is not back button). I just update my phone Xiaomi to android 8.1, i use a few aplications (critical for me) that require a long press on that button, i imagine that is some config missing on build.prop
