Is the aosp, vanilla android systemUI inside the source of all this OEM userInterfaces like HTC-Sense, TouchWiz, EMUI . . . ?
Well I have a honor 4x.
I tried to mod the systemUI.apk a little bit. I noticed something very interesting:
in the "layout" folder it seems every XML is existing twice!
for example the statusbar, there are two files: statusbar**.xml -> the default, vanilla, aosp resource AND statusbar**HUAWEI-CRAP.xml -> resource for the EMUI statusbar
My guess: all the aosp-files exist, they just arent enabled or something....
so I think, there has to be a file or somthing, saying to the android system "hey, don't use the vanilla statusbar.xml, use the crappy EMUI.statusbar.xml instead!"
Does this exist?
Can I change it?
If the AOSP-things are in the layout folder, can I delete all this HUAWEI-**** in order to enable the stock UI?
I want the stock-nexus-aosp-vanilla-android userinterface... I am running the EMUI stockrom, but i am rooted and can change everything.
How to enable the AOSP-UI?
My english is bad, but i hope you get what i want to know
thank you!

Hi,
I wonder if there is a package available with all the icons/images to convert the android samsungish look in to a AOSP one.
(radio button, buttons, windows etc.. stuff like that)
thx for any help.
Hello, someone may know me, I recently changed my phone from my beloved N1 to F240s(optimus g pro)
and It has locked bootloader, so I cannot port any roms.
and, I want to enable tablet ui to my phone, but we cannot enable tablet ui by changing dpi(due to system ui stopped).
I know there is way to enable it, but I can't find it.
I searched a lot, and I figured out I have to modify framework stuff.
but there's no well-explained way to enable tablet ui.
If you can tell me how to do it, I'm pretty sure that will help others, too.
to be briefed:
1.I have f240s(optimus g pro), and it has locked bootloader
2.so I can't flash any roms 'cause there isn't any roms.
3.we cannot enable tab.ui by changing dpi
4.I KNOW there's a way to enable tablet ui. don't tell me I have to use PA (cause it has LOCKED BOOTLOADER, so it will take a long time to have a custom rom)
P.S. I will change dpi if it can enable tab.ui, but in stock it doesn't work so I have to modify system files.
I was wondering the same. I have a tablet with almost nearly stock android (modified by acer) but it has the same ui than the nexus 7 , but i dont like it because it shows nav bar and status bar on top and i prefer when both area at the bottom that way the screen looks bigger
Anyways i was looking for threads related an i found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1780970
Its very interesting you should read it . Let me know if it helps you i will try it and report
Hello guysni don't know if this is where I should put this but
I built a ROM based off another ROM and that ROM has the choice to use a dark ui or light ui
Well as I was building the ROM I noticed the ui of the notifation changed and now the a quick toggles are unreadable and stuff has changed now I tried decompiling the APIs and they are right
I even tried taking the system ui apk
And sec settings apk from the original ROM and reputting them in my ROM and it still happened
Only thing I could think of is
My tweaks interfering
Or maybe I should try changing the frameworkres apk
Anyone got any ideas
Hi. İ want to chenge my font with Rosemary by the iFont an some other apps from Google play are not working... İ found some flashable zips for Xperia 5.0.2 but they are not competible with 5.1.1.... Now i need your help for this...
Fontster was working while I was using the GPe 5.1 port. Haven't tried it on Sony's 5.1.1 build, but I'll go ahead and assume it's working just fine.
Well I didnt tried changing fonts on Android 5.1.1 still. But I was wondering if there is any way to get option of fonts in Default Settings menu, (Just like the way it is present in Samsung and HTC phone's stock rom i.e. In Settings -> Personalisation -> Fonts).
Nope, those a pure Samsung/HTC features, and you'll have to use a root-app to change it on Sony and other OEMs.
Well Someone once posted a flashable zip to get Smart Call Handling in Cross Device Development Project. We got a option in Settings because the OEM had already added the code to get 'em there. I was thinking maybe this gonna happen again.
Well Thanks
Hello all
Fleksy keyboard it's the best keyboard in the Play Store (in my opinion).
But now I have a problem with it :/ I wil try to explain everything and be as clear as possible.
So I have a Galaxy S3 with custom rom in Android 7.1 and a custom font (ios emojis I prefer them) for the emojis because the android's emojis look ugly ^^
The file for the fonts it's NotoColorEmoji.ttf (in /system/font) as you probably know and for the moment it's look like that :
with IOS emojis as I said
But with the new update (8.5.0) of the app the emojis has changed. I mean the files in the apk are not the same !
Before in the 8.4.7 apk there was a "emojis.json" and now in the 8.5.0 apk there is a "emojisCompact.json" with NotoColorEmojisCompact.ttf'. And with this update it's look like this :
you see that it's not the same emojis I mean when I click on the emojis it's a ios emoji (because I modified my font like I said before) but the look is not the same, there seems to have a "overlay"
I tried to modify the apks but it didn't work.. What I want it's the new Fleksy (in 8.5.0) but with the look as before with correct emojis look
So to resume all I said
I know that my problem is not so big it's just a matter of look and taste but it's very annoying to have ugly emojis ^^
(I wanted to upload the json files to show you but it doesn't work ..)
(I wanted to upload the apks files but they are too big)
Anyone to help me ?
go to the settings of Fleksy and untick the option "use android oreo emojis"
