Is there a possibility to make A5_UL version/patch ?
Nice job... Buttery smooth and everything works. Only issue I've seen is data occasionally disconnects and I need to toggle apn changer to reconnect (I think that's a CM issue?).
Great work!

It's an app called Change APN. Seems to be a consistent problem so far on CM. I always have to toggle the APN settings to bring back data after disconnecting from WiFi or whenever I would try to reconnect data. I had posted a video in Grarak's thread if it proves useful visual of the issue.

I use an app called "change apn" from the play store. It allows you to toggle apn's to pick data back up.

I think, and I am 95.8725% sure, that PAC-ROM and Resurrection Remix and CM12.1 in my basketbuild support all Desire 816 variants. If you could
1. First do a backup of your current rom just in case. In the event they don't work just reboot back to recovery and restore your backup
2. Flash Pac-Rom, RR, or CM12.1 that I have posted and tell me if it works, I would be extremely grateful
Please reply and tell me your results!!

Thanks, I built for myself honestly but couldn't not share. Of course if someone from PAC decides they want to take over this thread they are more than welcome to. I haven't found any new bugs that weren't in all the other CM based builds. That's what I love about Android. Options, options, options. Just thought I'd give my fellow M8 users another option to choose from. Remember it's still unofficial so no OTA updates but I'll keep it updated to the best of my ability.

I can promise you I'll take you up on that offer. Everything I've learned has been on my own with very little help along the way. It'll be nice to have someone to ask help from. I appreciate it. Only bugs I've found have been the ones that effect all the other CM based Roms.

Well guys we've been made official and I'm officially your new maintainer for PAC-rom. There's a new download link up with s new build as well as a OTA in PAC console for anyone already running the first build I posted. Haptic feedback is fixed on the new build as well.

You're officially awesome as well.
Great work.
I can already tell that this will quickly grow to be my favorite ROM for my m8.
So far this is the best version of AOSP I've seen in regards to the customization options but it doesn't seem very smooth. If this ROM gets smoothed out it'll easily be my go-to-rom.
*Am I missing something or is there no way to remove an application shortcut?
Am I missing the DPI option?

Ocarinaz64 is taking over the ROM builds for PAC. Since jewel is no longer my primary, it's in the best interest of Evo users that the ROMs are compiled by someoen who can test all of the features (especially the important ones, like phone calls!)

Nice. My all time favorite rom from the OG Evo.
Been waiting for this. Installing now.
---------- Post added 9th March 2015 at 12:16 AM ---------- Previous post was 8th March 2015 at 11:18 PM ----------
I get stuck in boot loop. Did factory reset and installed rom only. Did system reboot and it got stuck in boot loop. Boot into recovery, wiped dalvik and reinstalled rom with gapps. Still stuck in boot loop.
Which file bootloooped? There are 2. The beta bootloooped on me just now. Going to try dl'ing the other file and see how I do.
the other one isn't bootlooped
Both files bootlooped for me.
Checked md5. Full wipe, flashed rom and gapps together. Reboot. Bootloop.
Any suggestions on what you may have done differently?
Try flashing one of the kernel packages after flashing the ROM. Haven't got a chance to test yet, but I suspect a bad kernel image in ROM zip file.

Booted with half pop. I'll run it a day or 2 and get back to you.
Dirty flashed rom, half popped kernel, and gapps last night. Been running smooth for the most part all day. Most apps work fine (including camera). Music app shows two of everything and crashes when song is selected. Recent apps tab hangs and then jumps to lock screen after 5 seconds.

You'll need to be on the new partition layout in order to flash the ROM.
New build posted 03252015
I'm running this now. Should be more stable than the prior builds I've posted. PAC has fixed a few things.

Where can I find the on how to update to the new partition? Thanks in advance
This ROM is the first of the available Lollipop builds that I flashed on my Evo 4G LTE and it is incredibly well built! I have an old Galaxy Nexus that I am also running on WiFi only and the Lollipop builds are nowhere near as stable as this ROM. Big thanks to the developer and keep up the great work!

Factory reset, then did Advanced System Wipe for good measure. Flashed ROM, Half Popped, and Gapps. Has been running smooth for a week. I am still having the same issue with all music apps. Any time a song is selected the music app will crash. Loving this ROM though.

I think it would be best if you get permission from the dev supporting those gapps before we do anything like that?
I'm talking about creating another link for his gapps where people don't have to go to his thread to get it.

I deleted it, because OP fixes bugs on the gapps, so im not even going to bother.
we can do that, his specific gapps for our devices is his AFH https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934538470 , I think he updates them every 3 days, he deletes the gapps from his AFH and uploads new gapps every 3 days or so.

Fair enough bud! I am compiling a new Candy5 build now with the file explorer you linked me in my candy thread. I'll find out if it works or not but Not tonight. I'm off for a couple hours of shut eye so HAG1 until then. All of my newer builds will be compiled with the GCC 4.8 toolchain so them gapps may no longer work but they probably will? We shall see.

I hope the file explorer works, but if it doesnt work, it really doesnt matter. Cant wait for new Candy5 build, its really smooth, only problem im having is the keyboard disappearing randomly even if I turned on the hw overlays. Why wont we need the gapps ?, are the gapps build in with the build with GCC4.8 toolchain ?

I meant we might be able to use regular basketbuild gapps and not have to chase down ones that may work.

Ohh lol, Ill download the gapps from basketbuild and see if it works.
Running fine with pico gapps and xposed for lp!
Edit: Keyboard and audiofx work correctly out of box in this lp. Great build. Usual echo on speaker phone as with almost any custom ROM.
Edit2: Also, gyroscope does not function properly, but I have read this is known with pac rom and slim.

Not trying to criticize or detract from this rom, but it says it's still in beta, whereas BlissPop has been stable for a while now. They both are based off of CM12.1 so you're getting the same general experience overall, rom-wise. Might want to give BlissPop a quick whirl before trying this one unless you feel confident. Sorry, not trying to dictate to you what to do, just offering my thoughts.
Sub77 thank you so much as always for your continued development efforts for this community. Since my phone's bootloader is locked, your superior quality rom development is pretty much all I get to play with as far as roms go. You're a godsend :good:

It is right . AOSP has unicum sound drivers . Don't change their please . Viper already installed as allways . Is the best .
Currently trying this ROM out on my t535 and enjoying it more than BlissPop. One question though, is it possible to disable smart magnetic cover?

Have to agree with you. This ROM feels faster than Blisspop. Can be considered daily driver as well!
After further testing, the biggest issue with this Rom is that it freezes. This after total wipe. I'd grab logs but what can you grab when the device hangs and you're forced to reboot? I've installed this ROM twice now with the same result. Fast but freezes and in most cases need a hard reset. Bliss never froze on me. Please note that I am not putting down other ROMs or this ROM. As I wait for a daily driver Marshmallow I am constantly flipping ROMs across 3 devices testing. If sub77 needs anything just let me know.

Dear @sub77 . Thank you for this rom . Pac-Man 5.1.1 and BlissPop 5.1.1 else are the best your roms on this moment .
does anyone know if this will work on the education model t530nn ? I can't find any difference between the two - bit I need to do something - my tab is jacked - I'd really like to find an odin-able stock rom so I can start over fresh but have jade no luck finding one - any help would be awesome !

Very good ROM.
Is a Fix for the Back Camera available?
Has anyone checked their Wifi connection speed? I'm maxing out only @ 54Mbps regardless which frequency I'm on.

Good news
@dadi11 ????????
As you may have picked up @dadi11 I'm a big fan and appreciate the utilization of your software since back in the beginning days of PAC LP, my absolute all time favorite rom until your Dirty Unicorns showed up for play! I kind of gave up hope that PAC would ever return in marshmallow flavor, but here we are, @dadi11 you have made the magic happen yet again!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!:laugh::laugh::good::good::good:

yeah, it is unfortunately not as good as lollipop version, but finally it's allowed to be released. so I did.
the pac team do not put much work in mm version. we want to focus on N version when it will be released. I think the same applies to every other roms out there
