Hello, I will explain my problem
I have issue with autobrighness.. When the phone is set in power save mode in a very low light ambient, the autobrighness set the backlight to the minimum level. No matter how you set the slider, backlight will be at the minimum (it's very difficult use the phone, and you have to disable auto brightness or disable power save mode)
Is this common issue?
Is there any way to edit some csc, in order to customize the brightness level? I tried with some third party app, but the ram management close background services

I've confirmed this behavior on two tabs, one running 3.1 base and the other running 3.1 ux.
In apps like tapatalk or the amazon.com for android app, when i scroll through a list of items or topics the display brightness dims until the scrolling movement stops and the brightness returns to normal.
The difference isn't huge, but it's definitely clearly visible on both units I've tested and pretty distracting.
I tested with brightness set at auto and set at a fixed level and it happens either way.
I found a way to resolve this..
I found an option under Settings - Screen - Auto adjust screen power which is enabled by default (even if brightness is not at auto).
If I disable this, the brightness fluctuation stops.
Just thought I'd share..
Hey

Hi, I have an I9100G, with rooted stock ROM, firmware DZKI1, Android 2.3.5. I'm just curious about a couple of items in the Display settings. There's an option called Brightness - Adjust the brightness of the screen, and when we click it, we can adjust the brightness or select the checkbox for Automatic brightness. On the same screen, a bit further down, there's another setting for Auto adjust screen power - Save power by analyzing image and adjusting LCD brightness. Anybody knows what's the difference between the two?
One uses an external light sensor to adjust for lighting conditions.
the other uses an internal sensor to adjust the colour display depending on the background of the graphic and how many colours are used.
Helle guys, i've just put in my screen a protection Film..IT's actually Not clear nur anti scratch ans therefore IT takes some brightness off my display..i've highered brightness brightness settings but IT's still a little bit dull..i've boosted a little bit The gamma settings in extweaks app.

Is there a way from preventing certain apps from forcing max brightness? Some apps seem to force max brightness regardless of my manual brightness setting. I have attempted to disable adaptive mode, and it didn't work. The app still overrides the brightness setting. If I try to use the manual slider nothing happens. Once I exit the app I can control brightness again. I wonder if there is some service I can disable to prevent this from happening.
I had a great Macrodroid macro that would check for the ambient's light levels and then set the display brightness according to my preferences everytime I would unlock the phone.
It worked way better than setting "adaptive brightness" to on.
On the Mi A3, it won't work correctly though: when I set brightness level to 20% at a certain light level (for example between 200 and 400 lm) the actual brightness will be set much higher than 20%.
Anyone has any suggestions?
Thanks
