CyanogenMod 12.1 for G800F/M/Y [Alpha 08/07/2015] - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I've installed the last build of [G800F/M/Y][ROM][5.1.1][LMY48G] CyanogenMod 12.1 for G800F/M/Y [Alpha 08/07/2015] (08/07/2015).
The rom works fine but I have several problems (with bluetooth, external sd card formated in ext4, mms).
I understand that this rom is a alpha version and accept that not all is working as well.
My question is why in the first page of the discussion, section "Non-working features:" all the troubles are not listed ?!

Hi,
Always about this rom...
Sorry I'm not a Developer so I don't understand the relation between the bluetooth problems and a official rom update from Samsung to Lollipop http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../g800f-cyanogenmod-12-1-g800f-t3083493/page53.
CM 12 is working fine (bluetooth too) on a S4 mini and there is no official Lollipop rom from Samsung for this device.

[Q] Bluetooth issues on temasek CM 11 rom

Hello everyone, i need help.
Device: Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300
I've flashed temasek rom (the latest V26) based on a nightly build of CM 11. Almost all functions work perfectly except the camera sometimes but i just have to restart to get it. My problem is about connectivity, the wifi, the 3G and other stuff doesn't cause any problems except the bluetooth who don't want to work...
Last week i've tried to flash a custom kernel on temasek rom and after i've tried to flash the stock temasek kernel and i get bootloop so i get back to the Samsung stock rom. After i rooted my phone to install temasek Rom.
Now my bluetooth don't want to work i get the error " com.android.bluetouth stopped". I searched everywhere i found nothing....
Can you help me please ?
(Sorry for the bad english guys)

Android 5.0 uses ART instead of Dalvik.. Apps may need upgrading as they might not support ART yet.
So some of the apps close wen tried to open.
And CM-12 Roms, as said in their respective threads, are not totally stable yet..
Refer the ROM thread for more information.
Thanks
I see that are not stable, i restore to ice cream
i will wait for Official cm12

It's unofficial Cyanogen ROM, there is a better version of lollipop for GSII, search for the thread : [5.0] [WIP] [BOOT] - OmniRom 5.0 HOMEMADE
(this is the 5.0.2 version with all fixed expect some things).

Remember that Omni has their own repo of aosp android and cyanogenmod has their own too. They would both be considered betas (CM12 unofficial is more of a pre-beta as I think it is not stable enough yet). So yes, if you want to use lollipop as a daily driver, use Omni 5.0

[Q] I cluess and don't know which custom rom to pick

(subject meant to be: I am clueless and....)
Hello there folks.
I checked some of the custom-roms here for a samsung galaxy s 3.
(Installed a C.M on moto g.... got it to 4.4 and then upgraded to 5.x and hardbricked it life is funny )
Can anyone tell me how to choose a Rom ? (there is a sheer number of roms to choose from)
They all seem nice I know that some come with KitKat and some come with 5.x.
Any recommendations for a stable Rom ?
Any recommendation for a Rom with a new OS (5.x) ? (even a less stable one )
And is it okay if I follow the instructions for installing a Rom from the official site of C.M ?
Any tips on how to backup ?
Here are the list of roms I found so far (there way too many)(open to new suggestions)
NamelessROM 2.1
RESURRECTION REMIX 5.4.8[CM12.1][OPTIMIZED]
JustArchi CyanogenMod 12.1 for i9300

Thanks for answers and have a good day.

Building a Nougat AOSP ROM or CyanogenMod 14.1 ROM for an unsupported phone

Recently I've been interested in creating a stock Nougat ROM or CyanogenMod 14.1 ROM for my Samsung Galaxy Alpha (SM-G850F). I've been reading and watching a lot of tutorials on how to go on about doing this but the example phones which they use have supported official CM builds unlike my SM-G850F. I was going to follow this tutorial but stopped at getting the proprietary blobs when mentioned that his phone is supported in the official CM directories. I then went surfing the net to see if I could extract the proprietary blobs from a ZIP which ended me up at this website which says yes, I can. However, my question is if I can use an unofficial build such as [5.1.x][SM-G850F] CyanogenMod 12.1 UNOFFICIAL for the Galaxy Alpha (slte) (final) to get the proprietary blobs for CM14.1? Despite that ROM being built for CM12.1. Another question is if building a stock AOSP ROM is easier than building a CM ROM and where to go to get the proprietary files for AOSP rom building. Thanks guys!
